Did this kit increase your students awareness of the skills needed to work in the vet industry? Definitely. I think a lot of students didn't realise how much there is to the job - and only know what they've seen with their own animals going to the vets. Some have seen vet TV programs so had slightly more knowledge to begin with.

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? I haven't heard anything from parents, but students enjoyed this learning and it sparked a deep inquiry for them. I have a class of animal lovers, so this really attracted my class.

How did this resource help students understand process of elimination using data analysis? To help students understand process of elimination, the teaching team I had gave the students many examples so they had a better understanding before they started.

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? The children had fun at the end of the year and it fit in well on the topic of careers that they were doing.
“The Story Vets activity was well resourced and engaging for the students. You need to go through all the activities to get a better understanding of how it all works together and once you have done that, the students will really enjoy it.”

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? The students loved the posters and hands on material. The parents who were vets were happy to see our students learning about vets.
“My class enjoyed the Vets school kit. They were engaged in the content and loved reviewing and exploring the diagnosing process for the animals. We even got a local vet nurse to come in and share their experience. The school kit website had great videos that were entertaining and educational.”

“I used this for Term 1 in table groups. They had an absolute ball learning about the different animals and the tests they used. They loved being able to use them on themselves. We found it covered so many different learning areas as well.”
