What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? The students enjoyed the practical part.
“This kit has great ideas. The resouce pack had lots of real life bits that the kids really enjoyed. The amount of information and ideas was a little overwhelming and one of them I couldn't understand even with the instructions. I love the practical stuff but navigating the rest was too time consuming with it being just a part of our learning.”

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? They were keen to continue and looking forward to next year (the few who have moved on were not actually aware of the part 2 aspect. I'm disappointed we didn't get there for them, but it was a great start.
“I feel like we really had to rush this one, and that we did not do it justice but, despite this, it was still really engaging. Because we had to cut some of it short and ended up doing a "part one - learning about the process and definitions etc., but did not do the actual diagnosis part, we are able to revisit it next year with a more role based approach (I did not really have time to set up a "surgery" environment etc (due to camp, eotc's, graduation, reports, etc.), and complete the diagnostics (I will most of the same learners next year and we will review to start to help the others catch up first).”

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? Students really valued the hands on aspects (coding) and the visuals - Xrays!
“I think the kids love the large Ai generated pictures the best and they were a great launching point for them to craft their own stories and figure out what animals from texts they read may need 'vet' treatment. A crowd favourite was also the grid coding.”

How did this resource help students understand process of elimination using data analysis? Somewhat. They were great on the TPR and talking with the owners bit but they found some of the other stuff more challenging - lots of teacher direction required!

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? Noithing from parents but the students were very keen!
“The whole topic was really engaging to the children. We got in a local vet nurse to speak with the children about her role and what she does. The attached photo is of her visit. They were intrigued by all the things that could go wrong with pets. The children enjoyed the stories and some of them made their own rebus. This was a super kit, a really engaging resource and the teacher guide was invaluable for making good use of the kit.”

The narrative did a great job of showcasing the dedication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills of veterinarians and their staff as they care for a variety of animals, from beloved pets to injured wildlife.

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? enjoyed the coding aspect and QR code scanning for posters. Most effective with a smaller group. Parent feedback - great to have a resource built around a career that they have come home and been inspired by.

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? Learners said it was memorable.
“Inspired by this kit, we covered respiration, circulation and digestive systems and looked at skeletons. We compared humans and mini beasts. We practiced writing explanations and drawing diagrams. For literacy we read the fairy stories provided and wrote our own. The kit stories were great for practicing explicit teaching of reading - choral reading, fluency, vocabulary learning etc. Prior to 'being vets' we wrote reports on one of the animals - becoming an 'expert' in that animal. We studied vets and compared how their diagnostic procedure is different to humans. I used material from SPCA and school kit - making sure it was all familiar. The day when we were vets went very well and I took lots of photos. Sadly, I'm leaving this school and they have been deleted now. Not sure how I missed the call for feedback! I looked on the site for where to post it earlier. All in all an excellent kit and my favorite so far!”
