“It was an excellent way to integrate science and get the children seeing how a lot of subject areas work in the work space. We were focussing on Careers and so this was a way to see how the learning now can effect the future.”

“My year 5-6 children were so engaged with this. They loved all aspects, especially pretending to be an actual vet. We ended up getting an actual vet come to visit us and share their learning too. It was fabulous!”

Did this kit increase your students awareness of the skills needed to work in the vet industry? Yes. They were impressed with the amount of testing that is undertaken but also the amount of attention that the vets paid to feedback from owners and environmental factors.

“I ordered this kit and then got so busy I had to keep pushing back when to use it. It ended up being something that we did during the last week of the school year and my students absolutely loved it. There was a high level of engagement and they really enjoyed exploring all the different parts of the kit. They also experienced a great sense of pride when they were able to use elimination with the data they were given to come to a conclusion.”

“This was a fantastic resource that was able to help illustrate to students just what a vet does and the process they go through to find the correct diganosis. Using the Paitent files was a game changer as this allowed the students to place the important information pertaining to their paitent and come up with the correct diagnosis.”
