How did this resource help students understand process of elimination using data analysis? Having year 4 students I felt that this resource was really good at introducing this process. They will need teachers to build further on it in the future.

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? My students were always asking to "go to our vet school". They were asking every day if we were going to be learning about being vets. It was very, very engaging.
“We really loved this kit. So much fun linking the fairy tales, the coding and the case studies. We loved setting up our class vet clinic and our students really got excited writing their vet school applications. They were so invested.”

How did this resource help students understand process of elimination using data analysis? For our younger students, much of it was simply being able to interpret the information placed in front of them. The resources were well laid out for this.

“Information was good and resources were nicely done. I found navigating the website to find resources a bit clunky/challenging. Students do not have logins to the Storykit online resources. It would be great to have some capability for students to be able to access the online resources rather than teachers having to download or make copies so that students can access them.”

How did this resource help students understand process of elimination using data analysis? They had to create a flowchart showing how they would eliminate potentials. This was then shown in practice when the students worked as a collective on the case study of Bella and then their own case study on their choice of an animal.

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? Students loved it, we didn't need verbal feedback, we could tell from how engaged they were in all the tasks and the level of the work they completed.
“We taught Story Vets to 120 Year 8 students as our introduction to careers and fun way to use all the skills they have learnt from 2024. We found the planning to be the hardest part of the unit, but we looked at the supplied plan and then created a slideshow that had everything all in one place. Once this was made we found the actual teaching and learning to be super easy. We felt that if we hadn't done that then it would've felt piece meal and would've been flicking between links and resources.”
