“Another good unit from SchoolKit. Students enjoyed the measurement activities and reasoning as to why different people have different length of stride or can have differing results on a pedometer. They were able to work out the advantages and disadvantages of each of the step counters and had a few design suggestions to make! I wish that we had more time to do this unit (our fault, not SchoolKit) as there were so many demands on the timetable around that time, that we possibly didn't have the opportunity to get as much out of it as we could have. It's a valuable unit to reuse at some other time however. Thanks again SchoolKit!”

Thanks School Kit for another great learning experience for our Y3/4 children. They had fun testing the pedometers with the help of some senior students.
We then set up a walkathon, and on a perfect spring day families, students and classes from right across Y1-13 walked laps and clocked up the kilometres.
