A great resource! Fabulous having so many different type of pedometers to try out! Students were eager to see how many steps they could do in a day. It made them very aware about how long the length of NZ really was!

We loved this kit - kids got so excited about it from the get go. They became super competitive too. Was great that this kit covered PE and maths and students could see where maths areas we have covered over the year could be applied to real life situations. Pedometers were a hit with many wanting to try all of them out for a week or so, although our step challenge was over!!

This was an amazing kit. My pupils found it both challenging and fun. The challenges were using the different pedometers which sparked lots of conversations and also problem solving. My pupils were put into 6 groups and were given a different pedometer each day so they were able to problem solve and record their repsonse to each pedometer. This kit also motivated my pupils to walk more especially around school eg: when doind a message for me they would take the longest route possible in order to get more steps. Whanau and friends of each pupil also donated steps daily so that we were able to hit our target. Thank you School Kit for getting my pupils up and moving and for allowing them the chance to problem solve with each of the pedometers :)

This was a great kit. The kids were right into the minute we started. Unfortunately we were unable to complete it, due to many circumstances out of our control.

We integrated this into our Life Ed focus of 'Healthy Mind, Healthy Body'. We also integrated it into our maths programme with measurement and statistics. Thank you for all the goodies in the box. The class loved using and comparing the pedometers. Lots of discussion about technology, health, lifestyle....... Loved it!

Thanks SchoolKit for a get experience. We loved the variety of pedometers we tested, the online apps were tricky for us to access with the equipment we had available so we took a bit of an analogue track! Our plan for gathering our steps was super ambitious, involving gathering the data of all our local schools at one of the local sports tournaments. We ran a lot of tests to get a good idea of how many steps the games would generate which really made our brains steam but was fantastic fun, and great for our fitness. In the end the weather scuppered our amazing plan but we still learned heaps. Thanks again for such a great idea. We'll be looking forward to selecting another SchoolKit challenge for 2020!

A fantastic hands on resource for our children. Although we didn't manage to walk the length of NZ our 16 children in our senior room really enjoyed the challenge! We changed our goal to try to reach Auckland which we achieved - a fantastic effort for our tiny school!

A great exercise to keep children moving. The enthusiasm was so great we even ran on the spot while participating in silent reading. The discussions around the different pedometers was interesting too with children liking different aspects of each. We plan to use them again when we go on school camp.
