It was a case of reminding and checking in with the students as to whether they were continuing to do the water saving habits that we had selected to focus on when we weren't stamping the posters any longer. Lots claimed that they were still doing them.

The impact was immediate because students took responsibility for stamping what they needed to each morning. It seemed to be a core group who were consistent at doing it. We always checked the posters at roll call time and checked how much was getting filled up.

The students were really good at talking about how they are saving water around their own homes but needed to be reminded about doing it at school too.

They became really aware how much water we were wasting when washing our paint brushes! We came up with new solutions. They also tell people off for wasting water at the fountain!
