The Water Savers 24 Kit was incredibly helpful for me as a second-year BT. It was a fantastic resource to engage students in thinking about water conservation. The kit offered excellent ideas for saving water, and the students really enjoyed stamping the spaces on the posters and watching them fill up. The visual elements of the kit made it easy to continually remind students to stay focused on their water-saving efforts.

The water kit has had a significant influence in promoting the longevity of water-saving habits among the students. We have recently completed a Waterline unit with our local council, that ended up being a wonderful starter for the Water Savers. We could expand the ideas that were introduced and apply these with the graphs and practical ideas in Water Savers.

What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with? It was a case of reminding and checking in with the students as to whether they were continuing to do the water saving habits that we had selected to focus on when we weren't stamping the posters any longer. Lots claimed that they were still doing them.

The impact was immediate because students took responsibility for stamping what they needed to each morning. It seemed to be a core group who were consistent at doing it. We always checked the posters at roll call time and checked how much was getting filled up.

The students were really good at talking about how they are saving water around their own homes but needed to be reminded about doing it at school too.

The Water Savers 24 Kit was a really great kit to get students thinking about conserving water. It had really excellent ideas about ways to conserve water. The students really enjoyed the act of stamping the spaces on the posters and seeing them fill up. The visual aspect of the kit made it easy to keep reminding the students to keep on top of their water saving.

What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with? We were also looking at our local rivers, so the awareness of the importance of keeping our rivers safe also came into our learning

They became really aware how much water we were wasting when washing our paint brushes! We came up with new solutions. They also tell people off for wasting water at the fountain!

These included exploring the concept of virtual water in consumer goods, investigating the causes and impacts of global water scarcity, and brainstorming innovations for sustainable water management.
