Prebiotic Pet Balm SINGLE Reviews

4.3 Rating 92 Reviews
I use pet balm on my dog every week because we do a lot of hiking. The balm was harder to spread than I expected so I had to dig in to scoop out some but it got easier once I made a hole in the product. It was enough to use on my dog and he liked licking it after I put it on. Seems to work well to keep his paws moisturized and protected.

I was hopeful I got for a nice, easy to apply ointment or cream but not this stuff. It's impossible to get it on your fingers much less Paws. It's very hard and not the quality product from Skouts Honor that I'm used to.

Hi Laura, I'm sorry to hear that you aren't happy with our Prebiotic Pet Balm! The consistency is harder and this is to ensure that the product doesn't melt during transit. We recommend first breaking the surface of the balm by applying pressure with your thumbs, and this will help with the application process. We are also making some changes to our formula to help make the application easier. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns and we'd be happy to help. Best, Susie

This product is not a prebiotic. Prebiotics are for growing more good bacteria in the gut. False advertising!

Hi Carolyn, We appreciate your concern about our topical prebiotics. Topical prebiotics act as a food source and help probiotics and good bacteria flourish on your pet’s skin. They both support the skin’s microbiome. Whether it's in the gut, paws, or on the nose, wherever bad bacteria lies, good bacteria exist as well. Topical prebiotics and probiotics are relatively new to skincare and especially to pet products. We take pride in offering revolutionary pet products that are safe for pets and effective. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns. Thank you, Jeremiah

As a solution for dry winter nose, this has such great potential but my girl promptly licks it right off!

Hi Kathleen, Thank you so much for your valuable feedback! As long as the Prebiotic Pet Balm is able to sit on either the nose or paws for at least a few minutes you should still be able to see results but I know this can be tricky with some dogs. Here's a blog post that you might find helpful below: https://www.skoutshonor.com/blogs/resources/why-do-dogs-lick-their-paws?_pos=2&_sid=996e6fedc&_ss=r Thank you, Jeremiah

Finally! A balm that helps my pup’s dry nose as it gets colder out. I’ve tried so many & this one does the trick. I like how it not only moisturizes but also has a texture that provides a barrier of sorts to the elements.

This balm is very thick. It also comes in a stick and that's impossible to apply. My dog tolerates it. She likes the smell

I’m not really sure what to do with this stuff. It’s too hard to get out of the can with my fingers, let alone spread it on my dog’s paws. I will keep rubbing the superficial amount I can get to transfer to my fingers on him and hopefully see some results over time, but I am doubtful.

Hi Andrea, I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with our Prebiotic Pet Balm! The surface is harder so that it doesn't melt in transit. To help with the application process, you'll first want to break the surface by applying pressure to the balm with your thumb. Warm the balm between your fingers and then apply to the desired area. If you have any further questions or concerns please contact us at services@skoutshonor.com, and we'd be happy to help. Cheers, Susie
