I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with our Prebiotic Pet Balm! The surface is harder so that it doesn't melt in transit. To help with the application process, you'll first want to break the surface by applying pressure to the balm with your thumb. Warm the balm between your fingers and then apply to the desired area. To help with the application process, warm the container to soften the balm. You can do this by letting the container sit outside in the sun for a few minutes or near a heater. You can also remove the desired amount with a warm spoon before rubbing the balm really well between your fingers. I hope this helps!
