I shipped a family portrait that I packed with multiple layers of bubble wrap, cloth, paper, cushioning boxes inside their box. The clerk at their store stamped "fragile" all over the box. I used their shipping cost calculator, but it didn't warn me about the extra handling charge for the dimensions of the box. It arrived with the glass broken, which could only have happened if the box were dropped violently so that the frame put too much pressure on the glass. If I'm paying an extra handling charge for an oversize box shouldn't it get more careful handling? And from start to finish they are impossible to communicate with.
