The standard of work is unacceptable. I did go back to the company and showed all the poor quality of work. They are not prepared to refund for the awful work. I would not use them again ever. In fact I am looking to send all the pictures of their awful work to Fair Trading as their prices are of people charging for a good standard of work in return their clients get the very minimal standard. This is unacceptable.

I needed a light switch fixed. The guy came out and failed to fix it on two occasions. I got another electrician who fixed it in one visit. I was billed by 0800handyman for both failed visits. I did not pay the second but I had already paid for the first failed visit and I did not get that money back.

I was happy that handyman came on time but God was he slow in doing the work!! I'm not sure if it was intentional but I was on the verge of chucking him out of my house. He didn't install one of the items items I wanted put up and it's cozcoz I couldn't stand him any longer and course is was costing me money. It's the third time I've used this company and the first two times the handymen were quick and did a good job. This one was too slow and the some of the work wasn't even good. Saying that though I would still come back but make sure I get a different handyman...probably younger and hopefully my request will be honoured.

Job specs were very poorly coveyed to our handyman who showed up with an empty van with none of the tools we'd recommended he bring. But worse than that he didn't even have a basic tool box with him. It was a frustrating and very Un-professional service.

I was considering changing a light fitting over a high staircase, along with a couple of minor electrical tasks. I rang to ask if you would have a ladder long enough - ceiling height above the staircase is 4.2 meters. I was told someone would call me back...but no one did!

As I think we explained we have been looking into hiring an additional specialist ladder for you due to the non-standard nature of the staircase. I asked for someone who could hang pictures. He made a mess and hung 3 pictures that were meant to be side by side all at different levels. Just a disaster. In fact if you had a 0 star that is what I would have clicked on.

I explained exactly what the problem was before the guy came round to make sure that no one's time or money was wasted, specifically mine. I also told the guy to bring a specific tool set as i knew how to fix the problem but just didn't have the correct tools. The guy turned up with no tools nor clue how to fix it and tried to charge me an outrageous consultancy fee for doing nothing. A very small and easily fixable problem turned into a huge problem and after paying the consultancy fee they turned around and told me it couldn't be fixed. I then had to go through quite an ordeal to get my money back. Absolute cowboys!

Booking was wrong. Wrongly priced. You need to request measurements and photos to gain some certainty of the job as you seemed to want more than knee man

Needed to replace a low level traditional toilet cistern. New cistern was the same size and shape as the old one, so all old connections fitted perfectly. It took your plumber 3.5 hours to do this job which could easily be done within 1 hour. Your plumber used lots of my Plumbersmait (he didn't bring any himself) to seal the connections between the cistern and the toilet pan. Plumbersmait should not be necessary. The next day I detected a leak on the water inflow. The plumber came again and tightened the nut, so the leak was gone, however, in tightening the nut he had also turned the inside ball valve system sideways, so the whole system did not function at all. Unfortunately I noticed this only after he had left. I do not want your plumber ever to come back to my house. I have since bought a replacement ball valve system and fitted it myself. I have in the past had very good experiences with your company, but am now very reluctant to call any of your workforce out again.

Hello - thanks for your review, we always appreciate customer feedback. Having investigated your issue I can confirm the following The plumber was onsite for that amount of time but we charged you for 90minutes only which equates to 1.5hours. We then sent him back the next day when you noticed the leak. When we contacted you at the time you confirmed you were totally happy with the works, nothing was ever mentioned about the ball valve being twisted as we would have been happy to help you. Unfortunately we feel this review is extremely unfair and have had no direct contact from you. Should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

When I called your office to book I was quoted £40 an hour plus VAT, as it was my first time hiring a handyman I asked how much roughly it will cost to fix the downstair light, upstairs in my son's bedroom and the door bell which was working until two weeks ago; I was quoted approx £60 plus VAT Your guy came too early, spent 10minutes downstairs and said we need to hire professional electrician, spend 5-10minutes to fix my son's light , didn't bother to check the bell. Said he needs to get to another job in 40 minutes. He was meant to give us a quote for the decorations we had to ask him. He only took pictures. He then went downstairs to get the invoice was down stairs for almost 15minutes, I had to go outside to check if he was still outside. I was charged £72 for 5-10 job. The job was not complete, he was slow, despite this he didn't even bother to look at the bell downstairs. I am greatly disappointed in your service and would not r commend you.

Hello Maria, We always take customer issues extremely seriously. It is a shame you have taken to social media to vent your displeasure rather than make contact directly. Unfortunately your version of events is not born out by our call recordings or CRM. 1) Our engineer arrived early 2) The job was completed to agreed specification and the call recording indicates you were happy to pay. We have never been made aware by you of any outstanding further issues 3)All our quotes are exclusive of VAT this is made clear at the time of booking and in all of our terms and conditions. 4) The card payment you made was declined, hence our need to recover the money. A no-show. I booked a handyman for 8.00 am and received a call at 8.15 from the office saying the information hadn't been passed on and we should reschedule because no handyman could actually come! Needless to say I had scheduled my morning especially to make this work: what a waste of time and money this was. So unprofessional. There should be a policy of compensation in such cases.

As a repeat customer of many years, I was was dismayed that I should be left waiting for the handyman for around close to two hours, especially as I had made a train journey from Sussex just for the handyman to work in a London flat. After waiting ages, I called their office. I then got a call back saying the handyman had to go to hospital for his partner. I asked the wonderful Adriene, who was most apologetic, to ask the owner of the firm to contact me. Well, after two chasing telephone call from Adriene to myself - I'm still waiting for the call from the owner. The incident was over two months ago, so I shan't hold me breath. Total time wasted was 5 hours. That at £20 call out plus £40 per hour plus train ticket, equates to £245. My time is valued higher than the above, however I've used 0800 Handyman's charges. So 0800 Handyman, are you going to reimburse my losses? Is the owner going to call? I'm actually surprised you've asked me to rate you!
