"Loyal customer for 5 years. \r\n\r\nNever any problems until I renewed my insurance for a fifth year.\r\n\r\nGot a strange text\/email from them.\r\n\r\nThe text\/email said that they need to do some checks and that I need to call them to ensure my policy is 'validated'.\r\n\r\nSo gave them a call.\r\n\r\nOh my word, the stress.\r\n\r\nThey asked how many miles I do a year. \r\n\r\nBased on what I said, they calculated I do 6k miles and not 5k. \r\n(Not sure where they justify their calculations from). \r\n\r\nThey decided my policy had to be changed - \u00a371 for them to add incorrect info that shouldn't even change as I do 5k miles.\r\n\r\nAccount is frozen online until I pay that sum of money. \r\n\r\nCan't cancel my policy online until I pay the money.\r\n\r\nSo made a complaint by email. \r\n\r\nOn the day I made a 2nd call back after the 1st one asap to dispute it. \r\n\r\nNo call back yet - I don't think they'll ever return the call. \r\n\r\nNow I have the option to either cancel my policy, which I don't know how much it'll cost but imagining it'll cost a bomb. \r\n\r\nOr stay with them for another year and risk that they will look for other errors in my policy and charge other unnecessary admin fees.\r\n\r\nAwful. And not how you treat a loyal customer. DO NOT USE THIS CAR INSURER EVER."

"Frustrating experience and poor customer service\r\nMy experience with this company has been extremely disappointing\r\nI Made a claim in 13th July and since then I've been given the run around by 1st Central. They told us we can not repair you car you need to repair it by yourself then they sent me an email with threatening me if you don't agree with this opinion we need the courtesy car return and that will mean you are not claiming through with us.\r\nOverall 1st central has been a source of constant frustration.their lack of transparency,poor customer service and unprofessional handling of claims have left me regretting my decision to choose them.\r\nI would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere for insurance"

"Very poor customer service. Just cancelled my insurance with them and i will never ever use them again.\r\nI've been asked to pay \u00a3417.60 on top of my insurance because i don't remember exactly when i passed my driving licence \/ last century in my homeland\/ date, month \r\nand year. Absolutely unacceptable reason to increase the price. The second price-increasing information was have 3 points penalty THIS year. Absolute fair enough about that. \r\nSomething else which i noticed yesterday on my policy was written that my penalty is since March 2023. When i ask them to explain why they put wrong year i felt like an idiot. Few different people \/policy analysis, customer service etc\/ tried to convince me that cannot see, read my policy properly. I told them that my policy is on front of me and is written penalty points 16-03-2023, but their answer was \" I don't know what you see and where, but is not 2023 is 2024\". I ask where and to who i can send proof of my policy I've been told to send email to policy department. When i did that I received two automated emails that had nothing to do with my case.\r\nAt the and i found a different phone number. I spoke with someone from policy analysis department. She confirmed that someone by mistake wrote it wrong. My last question was if the year was written correctly how the price will be changed or will be the same \u00a3417.60? She was confused but eventually forced to say the price would be different and most likely lower. Today I logged into my policy again, I wanted to see again if they had made a change, but I was surprised to find that the data had been deleted.\r\n\r\nHow i said never again with them."

"Cancellation is a joke.\r\n\r\nInsured with them for a couple years and service is fine and online portal etc is handy.\r\n\r\nCancellation however is an absolutely, borderline criminal joke. I paid for all optional extras consistently for the duration of my policies and cancelled after a 3.5 weeks of a renewal and was charged \u00a3240 for the privilege. Breakdown is below:\r\n\r\nCost of policy \u00a3240.11\r\nCost of 31 days insured \u00a332.93\r\nInterest for paying monthly \u00a314.19\r\nArrangement fee \u00a350\r\nPersonal Accident Cover \u00a330\r\nHire Car Cover \u00a335\r\nExcess Protect \u00a327.99\r\nCancellation fee \u00a350\r\n\r\nPayments received\r\n\u00a30\r\n\r\nTotal to pay\r\n\u00a3240.11\r\n\r\nCost of Policy: \u00a3240.11 - Payments Received: \u00a30 = Total to Pay: \u00a3240.11\r\n\r\nAbsolutely insane that you have to pay the full fee for extras not even four weeks into a years policy.\r\n\r\nShould be illegal."
