247 charged me way too much for what I'm told is a simple job and only sent an invoice on the 2nd time of asking. I'm moving home and money is tight so this has really not put me in a good position. A technician arrived and was around for no more than half an hour and overall it cost me an extortionate amount for the labour, and £40 for a part worth £9.50. I was vulnerable when making the call-out, and since having the work done, I have spoken to multiple other professionals in the field who had let me know that what I was charged was absurd for the amount of work required, and the amount of time the technician was here for.

I’m going to save you a lot of money if you read this. This company is an agency that farms out work to plumbers. The staff on the end of the phone are certainly not English and put on a weird American sounding dialect, they are rude and completely unprofessional. I am a OAP, vulnerable and looking after my husband who has dementia and Parkinson’s and we had a slight leak and needed a replacement part and fitting on the elbow. I contacted this firm (247 Best Emergency services) as they looked at face value like a decent and professional outfit on Google. I explained the symptoms and she was told they could sort the problem out. She asked several times for a price to make an informed choice as to whether to use this service. She was told it would be a £45 call out, the cost of the part and testing once the job was complete. I asked was there an hourly rate I was told no. It was a call out fee, price for parts and testing. It was assumed at this point that the bill would be no more than around £200 maybe £250 max. A company turned up from ADI Tradesmen. A plumber arrived. The plumber sure enough completed the job, there was no need for diagnostics because my I knew where the leak was on the elbow and pointed the plumber in that direction. The plumber had completed the job in 30 mins. I asked what the bill was in which the plumber replied “I need to call the boss” this was so his boss could be in touch with 247. The plumber was hanging around for nearly 10mins for a response and had to ring again to get a price for works which is very unusual. I then received a call 247 asking if the job had been completed, the firm were informed that it had, the person on the end of the phone the stated that £470 was the bill for a leaky pipe. This was a complete shock and a rip off to pensioners. We have since spoken to other trades and they have stated that this was a rip off job and this bill was never discussed at the beginning of the call….. no estimate no nothing. This is a breach of the Sales Act and Price Markings Act 2004. No hidden fees were explained. The plumber would not leave he said that he needed payment before he could leave. This was not acceptable and intimidating. Feeling that I was backed into a corner we paid the fee. No longer after the work was completed, the pipes started clunking and the flush in the cistern was stopping and starting. When we tried to phone the firm the number was no longer in use nor accepted in coming calls. My son in law and tried to speak with 247 best emergency services who rudely cut his call. He was unable to contact them back on the mobile number they rang on. If you are reading this 247 - my son in law will pursue you via the law. Trading Standards and Action Fraud will be notified by 02/09/2026 unless you are in contact with me and at least pay back 40% of that £470. I will bring media attention to you and any of your affiliates. I suggest negotiations.

Had a blocked sink, called the first number I found. Got informed they'd arrive soon, that there would be a call out fee of £45, and we'd go from there. Plumber arrived, said he'd get some acid, left to go buy the acid, and returned with a bottle of Zep liquid heat drain unblocker. Poured it down, waited ten minutes, poured 2 kettles of hot water down. Still blocked. Eventually after pulling a pipe loose, and making a mess he didn't clean up, he diagnosed a blockage that he couldn't fix. I was then told it would be 360 quid for about 45 minutes work. Never got a receipt sent to my email despite them taking it. Paid a personal account. Will be calling CAB in case it helps future idiots like myself who don't read the reviews.

Beware! Rip off! The member of staff handling this was very rude and unprofessional. The plumber was good, but the company 24/7 are out to rip off customers in emergency situations - they have no knowledge of plumbing and argue strongly that what would normally be a plumber for 1 1/2 days is reasonable for 20 minutes labour. They have phoned me 3 times and just hung up when I said it was not reasonable! Work directly with a local plumber. Do not use these rip off merchants.

SCAM DO NO USE!!! Completely overpriced and misleading. We were told the call-out fee was £45 but were ultimately charged £400 for a simple toilet handle replacement. The service was rude, and we left feeling completely ripped off. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

SCAM DO NO USE!!! Absolutely terrible service. We called during the day and the lady on the phone refused to give us a quote, saying the call-out fee was only £45. They arrived much later, replaced a simple toilet handle, and only afterwards tried to charge us nearly £400. We managed to reduce it to £350, but this is still ridiculous for such a simple job. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and unhelpful. We feel completely overcharged and misled, and the whole experience left us feeling scammed. We would never recommend this company and will definitely not be using them again.

Scammers. Avoid. This appears to be little more than a lead generation company passing jobs to third-party plumbers, and the customer service when something goes wrong is appalling. We called because we had an emergency leak and needed urgent assistance. After waiting a couple of hours, we had no choice but to get the problem resolved elsewhere. We were actually calling to cancel when the plumber eventually arrived because, by that point, the emergency had already been dealt with. Despite us being told on the phone that there would be no call-out charge due to the delay, they are now demanding payment for a service we never received - with payment requested directly into the plumber’s personal bank account. The plumber never entered our property and carried out no work whatsoever. When we challenged the charge, the woman we spoke to was unbelievably rude, patronising and confrontational. She repeatedly talked over me, refused to have a reasonable conversation, hung up multiple times and refused my requests to escalate the complaint. Rather than addressing a genuinely disputed charge, she threatened us with debt collection and accused us of not being “bothered” to call them. We were dealing with an emergency which they had taken hours to attend, and had been forced to arrange an alternative because we couldn’t simply leave a leak unresolved indefinitely. I asked for the recording of the original telephone call so we could establish exactly what had been agreed. I also asked for the terms and conditions they claim we accepted, evidence of the charge we supposedly agreed to, and an explanation of their position. These requests were refused. The most concerning part wasn’t even the original delay - it was the way the dispute was handled afterwards. There was seemingly no interest in establishing what had actually happened or listening to the call. Instead, we were met with interruptions, patronising comments, calls being terminated and threats of debt collection. If the company believes a charge is legitimately owed, it should be able to provide the terms that created that charge and deal with a dispute professionally. Threatening debt collection while refusing to provide the information being requested is completely unacceptable. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Outrageously expensive, do not touch with a bargepole. Ten minute job, no parts, £450.

What a company this is, simple wire repair, engineer was here for 20 mins, had to repair a simple nicked cable, under their prices shown on their website £160 perfect I thought, once complete the woman on the end of the phone literally demanded I pay 320 with no explanation as to why this was double the advertised price ! The engineer on sight himself was confused and didn’t understand the price for a wire repair. Don’t use this company it’s a rip off

The £45 call-out fee is what gets you through the door. That's the attractive headline price. What comes afterwards is a very different story. I was quoted £45 for the call-out. The attending engineer then called to ask for approval to fit a replacement part costing £85, which I agreed to. The repair took around one hour, and the engineer was excellent. Then I received a demand for £439. That included £305 for around one hour of labour and testing – a charge that was never mentioned before the work started. When I challenged it, I was repeatedly told the pricing was available on the company's website. I checked thoroughly and couldn't find any labour rates or pricing that supported what I was being charged. From my experience, the low call-out price appears to be used to secure the booking, while the real cost only becomes apparent once the work has been completed. The engineer himself was professional, courteous and completed the repair quickly. My complaint is entirely with the pricing practices and lack of transparency from 24/7 Emergency Services. If you use this company, get the total labour cost in writing before authorising any work. A £45 call-out can very quickly turn into a bill running into hundreds of pounds.

unfortunately there was no option to give 0 rating i had a block toilet, when i called they told me its £45 (did not specify if it was including Vat ) all they said is i pay the technician on site and they will let me know of any labour charges for repairs etc Did not even specify if the 45 was for call only No one clarified what would be the totL cost, at the end of the job, they said to unblock a toilet with no repair required and job done in under 2 mins, my bill was. 365£ absolutely rude and insane hidden costs. I am never coming back

DO NOT EVER USE THEM!!! Had F75 fault on boiler, vaillant came out and changed new pump and new pressure sensor. One week later the fault was on there again so i called 247 best engineers, they told me that someone can be with me within 90mins for a callout charge of £45 and when the engineer comes out they will tell me what the problem is b4 giving me a quote so i said ok. Engineer came within 90mins but i found by googling the proplem that if i press the reset button for 3 seconds it should do the trick so i did and it worked so nothing needed to be fixed. I was then told by the company that i need to pay £450 which shocked me because i was not expecting that. I refused to pay as they did not do anything to fix the boiler so they said they would lowerit to £300 which is still extortionate as i was told on the phone that the callout charge is £45. The guy on the phone is RUDE and they just rip you off!!!!

Absolutely disgusting service, cost £425 for a 30 minute job which the technician dragged to an hour unnecessarily, with the parts we paid and provided. No mention of the labour costs and they hooked us with a £45 consultation fee and did not specify ANY other charges. No charges or quotes were given before the job started which is dishonest and greedy on their part. No mention of absurd rates on their website and they plastered positive reviews on their website. Absolutely avoid them they will scam you

Absolutely disgusting I still have the leak , he didn't touch anything just took a photo and asked me what was happening, he then went to car to call someone and from that photo; he came back with a price of £200 for two things totalling £400.....? But STILL did not tell me the problem. I decided not to let this unprofessional do any work as he said if he couldn't fix it, he would have to call in a specialist which would be more money. I paid the £70 callout I still have the leak what's the world coming to? £70 and he didn't even bend down. Or stop the leak as you can see in photo.

Boiler was fixed in 10min. But the company charged me £410. What a rip off - they knew what they were doing. Won’t be using again. Was only told about the call out charge of £50. Would have been great to be told the estimate cost before repairing - I would have avoided it.
