I have sent them my pristine condition Galaxy S8...from the day I got it it went into a spigen case and vnever came out, in fact the rear of the phone still has its protective wrap covering the s/no and imie barcode sticker, I took images of the device including the screen showing no visible damage and a white screen with black writing and on none of these does it show any damage. Today I received an email reducing the £106 offer to £26.50...stating that there was screen burn. I contacted them and they were very confrontational especially when o said I had images that showed no damage. I have asked for my phone back and warned that it had better be in the state I sent it, namely with the rear of the phone having the device details sticker, as I was told all they did was visibly inspect my device. I am appalled at the way they have tried to not pay the agreed sum by faking a fault. I am now expecting to receive my device in a different state to how I sent it to them....

This company is completely untrustworthy. The sent me the wrong model. When I called them they would not even believe me (Apparently their system never makes mistakes...). As the exchange seemed to be a lengthy process and I was not very keen anymore to purchase anything from this company, I returned the phone and requested a refund. 3 weeks after I send the phone back the refund still has not arrived on my account. This is just ridiculous. They just don't seem to care about their customers at all.

Had a z fold 3 phone. The only fault was a very slight crack on the front screen. It worked fine. Was quoted up to £179. Sent the phone in. Got an email telling me £50. Asked for the phone back and on it return the screen was completely smashed though. Looks like it was hit with a spike. Emailed 10 days ago, still no response form them. Update 16/07 I responded to the message below, still no response. Totally no customer care! Date of experience: 20 June 2023

I wish I'd read the reviews first.... phones offered prices and then told phones had problems, I has phones returned and nothing wrong with them. Shambles!

if i could give negative stars i would. i posted a phone over three months ago and envirofone initially claimed to have misplaced it which is why there was a delay in processing my money. every time i have emailed since i get told it is being passed to the processing team and i will hear back in a few days. i just want them to send me my phone back now this is too much hastle. I have NEVER gotten an email from this 'processing team' if one exists. why is nobody in your company actually able to respond to customers.

Terrible service. They state same day payments however it's been 2 days. 3 emails have been sent and 2 phone calls. There now saying I'll need to wait till Monday for payment. That means it's going to take them 5 days to make payment. False advertising. I never would of sold you my phone this close to Christmas if I had known you clearly lie.

Really fast service, they sent the box within about one day after I put my device up for sale, and as soon they received my device the same day they deposited my money into my bank account!

I have used trustpilot twice this year. Both times they have dragged their heels and delayed payment. The first time they made the offer, it was accepted and due to be paid by BACS. They then refused because my account was set to my business address they wouldnt proceed without with me invoicing them from my business as it was my business account i had requested the funds to be sent to. They insisted that I had to deduct the VAT from their offer price (not clearly stated anywhere in their terms). I did this, and then eventually - 3 days later than proposed they then paid. This caused over a weeks delay in obtaining payment. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and a month later I then sold my own personal phone using the same account (because i am always at work, it makes sense to have it set up to my work address for sending/recieveing the materials requested). I instead asked for a cheque to be made to me personally. It has now been 37 days since the sale date. I have recieved no funds. The case is listed as closed. I have called approximately 12-15 times. I have spoken to many members of staff. Everytime I am told it is an issue with accounts / finance and that no I can't speak with them and that no unfortunately there are no supervisors available to speak with me. Yes it has been assigned to a team leader, but no he is busy/in a meeting/at lunch/in the corridor/heading to finance as we speak to get an update! At every opportunity I have been lied to, mislead, and decieved. It is £47! Not a fortune by any means! I am appalled by the way I have been treated. I am told everyday that I call that i will be called back. Only on one occassion have i had a call and it was just to tell me that there was no update. It isnt hard - you have my property, you committed to pay me for it, write a cheque, post it and voila - complete. This week I have called everyday as I prefer to give a company every possible opportunity to resolve issues before going to the reviews and social media platforms. I hav e been met with more excuses, apathy and disregard. I have been promised a return call from the 'team leader' every day this week. Yet to receive a single call. I will not let this go, and I would issue warning to anyone using envirofone. When it works it works well. When it goes wrong they have no ability to do anything about it down to even simple communications! I will be avoiding at all costs upon conclusion of this saga.

I purchased a refurbished phone, it was corrupted and unusable. Sent it back and no apology, no communication, refusal to send a replacement and very very rude on the phone. Terrible customer service, apparently it takes 2 weeks to get a refund! I suspect its going to be a battle getting my refund given the attitude and rudeness of the 'customer service' advisors. They refuse to call you back or handle a complaint. After seeing dozens of similarly terrible reviews I am convinced this is a scam company who sell stolen phones and hang on to your money for as long as they can to make interest on it. Avoid like the plague!

I bought an Iphone X from them last year and only last month it stopped working, I called EE as this phone was locked to their network before, they said this phone was reported stolen and is blacklisted (on the same date the phone stopped working!) I had the phone sent to envirofone, they sent it to we insure tech, they claimed that we tampered the software, and accussed us of reporting the phone as stolen?? I dont even know how thats possible. They refused to give my refund. They blocked my number and asked for only emails to communicate. I bought a second hand phone that has been refurbished so I am not the legal owner of this phone. How would I have reported my own phone stolen when it was with me the whole time? They blame their customers to avoid giving a refund, I payed over 500 pounds and this is how they treat customers buying goods from them. DO NOT BUY , IT IS A SCAM

There seems to be a lot of similar reviews for this company unfortunately! Recieved a quote of £155 for samsung Galaxy S8+, accepted quote and sent off the immaculate phone (this had been kept in the best condition possible due to a phone case and screen protector always being on), I also paid to have it recorded delivery and used bubble wrap in addition to the packaging supplied by envirophone only to be quoted £38 when they recieved the phone!!! When this was challenged over the phone they then "revised" this to £78, when I questioned on what basis would they give these prices when I was quoted £155 she advised that was what came up on her computer!!!? Safe to say I asked for my phone to be returned in the excellent condition it was sent in and have now sold it elsewhere for £150, please do not use!!!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Sent perfectly working iPhone 6 with a quote of £80. Told it failed testing due to an issue with screen. Rejected their pathetic £20 offer. Waiting to get my phone back. AVOID. Sell on eBay instead!

Staggeringly bad service. Purchased a phone, it was junk with several faults, RMA requested. No response other than to say they are working on it. Considering taking it to credit card company as fraudulent activity.

Extremely disappointed with Envirofone. It took 12 days for them to process my phone after they received it, and when they finally got to it, they reduced my payment from £285 to £13 for a scratch on the back and an account still being logged in. As I factory reset the device I am not sure how this could be the case. Regardless, after I asked them to send the phone back (obviously), it has taken them over a week even to post it...second class! So it will have been over a month altogether to receive 1 crappy email to advise a £272 reduction, and I still don't have my phone. Beware of using this company. Even if your phone is in perfect nick and you logged your accounts out etc, it will be weeks before you see any money...and if there's anything wrong with the phone then woe betide you. Not impressed.

UPSET AND ANGRY! MONEY PAID INTO WRONG ACCOUNT. TOLD 'TOUGH' YOU PUT WRONG ACCOUNT DETAILS IN. (NO PROOF) WONT TELL ME WHERE IT HAS GONE ONLY THAT IT HAS. MAN WAS RUDE ON PHONE TOLD NO COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT OR PHONE NUMBER! PHONE DETAILS BEEN DELETED ON ACCOUNT. THIS WAS TOWARDS MY WEDDING!!

Absolutely terrible, would never use again and certainly would NOT recommend. Years ago i used envirofone and it was good, myself and my partner used again recently to sell our old phones. The company website states "Get paid directly into your bank on the same day we receive your device" is infact a load of crap!! They recieved both phones on the friday and we tracked our parcel and didn't even get an email until the tuesday. I accepted my offer and still awaiting payment two days later. Customer care is appalling!! I recommended this same company to my partner we was both quoted £165.00 i got offered £33.00 yes my phone had damage my partners phone on the other hand was in perfect working order and condition and he was offered £44.00 which he declined, the offer was based on that he had a crack on his phone screen lucky enough we took pictures before it was sent off and i can assure you his phone had no damage at all.

I wish I read all these reviews before dealing with Envirofone. I would leave a 5 star if I stop at the buying experience. You get the phone in one, max two days. I bought three phones from them. This is great service, sure. But when it comes to problems with the phone they send you... well, good luck! I bought a £400 Samsung from them back in November last year. During this time a fault came up with the speaker. As they state on their 12 months warranty, "if the unexpected happens, fill the online form and follow instructions". Of course this is what I did. I sent them my phone. Received an automatic email saying they received it and I would have news from them within 1 to 3 working days. I received this email 10 days ago. I emailed them but I had no news about my return. I phoned them and been on the phone half an hour (I 've been lucky on reading some waiting time to other customers!), to be able to speak to someone. I was simply told that they've sent me a new phone. I asked him: "why? I wasn't told anything and under the warranty I was expecting a refund". I was told it was a late return so they couldn't do refunds anymore. I believe I was told so just to calm me down. Would they have sent me a new phone I would have received some news by email. What about writing all the rules on their warranty page? That page doesn't say anything at all if not use their online form! Which won't say much more either. They even say that you can return your phone if you just change your mind... Really? Come on guys! This means I have lost those £400 as they took back the phone, and from reading some other reviews, I don't think I'll receive a replacement phone. Which will be useless anyway as I bought (still from them unfortunately) another phone before doing the procedure of sending this one back to them. So I now have a phone (which works for now), for which I've spent again almost £400 + the £400 of the phone I've sent... would they be fair enough to at least send me a replacement phone... what will I do with it? Envirofone? Never again. Black listed!

I try to call but got cut off 3 time one off the brother is ok as for the next one is a nob and very rude keep your money in your pocket give a little man your money don’t no how they are still in business as they went bankrupt not long ago

I was quoted £350 for my IPhone 12 Pro. Since I got iPhone from O2 I assumed it would be locked to the network. Once they received the item they gave me £30 less as it’s unlocked. Unlocked phones are more than a locked phone. Avoid using them and sell privately
