“My experience with WeBuyAnyPhone has been very disappointing.
I traded in an iPhone 15 Pro Max that was in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. The phone was immediately downgraded from Good to Pretty Good with vague references to “noticeable wear”, despite my own timestamped, high-resolution photos showing none.
The communication was contradictory and incomplete — one adviser described the device as “good overall”, another sent a templated email with blank fields, and requests for escalation were repeatedly declined.
I’ve since discovered they refuse to provide resale details even though the device’s serial number makes that information personal data under UK GDPR. Their refusal to disclose the resale grade suggests serious transparency issues.
I’ve submitted a formal complaint and Subject Access Request under UK GDPR and may escalate to Trading Standards and the ICO for review.
If you’re considering using them, photograph everything, keep screenshots of every chat, and read their grading criteria carefully before agreeing to any revised offer.”
“Unfortunately this company is a scam. Damaging people’s devices to dash down the initial offer.
The offer a slightly higher initial offer and after the damage your phone during “cleaning and checks” cu dash £150-200 from the initial price.
Shame that these companies exist. Perhaps they do the same to the phones and tablets they sale, advertising excellent condition and after they do not accept returns.
I got a £630 offer for my phone in pristine condition with screen protector and case from day one. I had previously phones with screen protector before but the indian lady from customer service told me “you know dust can go under the screen protector and wear the screen” what bs is this, never happened before.
Webuyanyphone, please stop using kitchen knives or spoons to remove the screen protector and damage people phones! Or should I call you “youdamageanyphone”?
Shame that this companies exist! I really hope people will stop buying from these guys because remember what goes around comes around!

“This company will offer you a good price but then tell you hiw many problems/ scratches the phone has when the phone is in perfect condition, they will then offer alot less than originally quoted , stay away from this site”
“BEWARE- I sent my 16promax last week with only 1 light mark, in its original box fully wrapped insured, they then sent me a video of my phone with over 30 screen scratches including several deep ones. And offering me £200 lower than the said amount. I even took photos of my phone with a clear screen which they investigated and said it wasn’t their fault. They even admitted that the Royal Mail package turned up perfectly fine but strangely so all those scratched turned up on a solid iPhone screen.”
“This company like a lot of these companies offer a price and then when they receive it they find some issue to lower the price! I sent an iPhone 16 pro max which is well above Good and fits all the criteria for good but is in excellent condition with even 100% battery!
Offer price to get me to send my device was £630 plus a £15 bonus. The new price they offered is £470! What an absolute con and I have asked for my device back! Avoid this company!”
“Very disappointing experience. WeBuyAnyPhone quoted me £465 for my phone in good condition, but once they received it, they reduced the offer to just £275.
I rejected this and they did send my phone back, but it was a complete waste of time. The delay may also have affected the price I could get elsewhere, since phone values drop the longer you wait.
⚠️ Warning to others: don’t trust the initial quote. It seems like a tactic to lure you in with a high price, then slash the value once they have your phone. If I had known this, I wouldn’t have bothered at all.”

“Same here. They received 2 perfect device and they marked it as heavily used and scratched and so they lowered the price. However the scratches that they saw were finger prints. Asked for the devices back and they wanted to charge me £16 for both”
“Same as every other review. Kicking myself that I did not read the reviews before hand. Sent an IPhone 13 Pro, great condition, had over 85% battery health when I initially sent it in. The original quote was £290, I have been offered £95 due to a few scratches on the bezel and less than 80% battery health? Rejected the offer and had to pay over £10 to return the phone. Avoid at all costs. Dreading to think what condition my device will be in when it is returned.”
“I was quoted £545 for my iPhone 15 pro in brilliant condition in my opinion. I’ve always had a wallet case, screen protector and even a protector on the camera aswell. I took a video before I even sent the phone off. I got offered £345! I was absolutely fuming. Called them back and told them I want my phone back and there’s no discussion on price when your trying to offer me £200 less then what was quoted. I’ll never use them again. First time and only time 🤷🏼♀️

“Agree with all the other reviews. Absolute crooks. Revalued all three of my phones down to £0, even had the audacity to say they were 'pretty good' condition, but then bake them at £0 anyway. Avoid like the plague. You will get ripped off.”
“Same theme as others. You select subjective view of your phone e.g. Good, (i.e. not as new, or pristine), then they say wear on bezel, or wear on screen which has been identified by the evaluation engineer holding it under bright light, hence huge reduction.
Do not use as they will definitely receive your phone then massively reduce their offer to test your mettle.”

“Wished I’d read previous reviews, offered £135, iPhone 11 in very good condition, no screen scratches or damage, no marks or damage on casing. Once received they revised their offer to £17, apparently screen had signs of wear?? Considering it’s a touch screen phone I can’t see how they would expect it not to be used?? Refused the offer, they then offered £27.75 after reviewing, seems a pattern following other reviews. DO NOT USE, you will be wasting your time”
“I am giving 1 star only because I am not allowed to give a zero rating. Absolute con-men and I advise anyone to avoid this company at all costs. I had the same experience as the other reviews whereas was offered a fair price initially for a perfectly good Galaxy S21 then 95% reduction after inspection. Stating damage to bezels, rear housing and screen, none of which was asked on initial valuation. Then charged me £10 plus to return phone. DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS!”

Valued at £80 and they revised the offer to £5 (which they then increased by £10) after saying it was scratched and damaged (it wasn't and I have photos to prove this). They are sending it back for free they say but I am worried that it won't arrive or will arrive in a worse condition that it left. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.”
