They will offer a great quote then purposely downgrade the condition so they don’t have to pay out. Be warned, they expect BRAND NEW condition to get anywhere near their unrealistic initial quote. My first chat with them, I told them i don’t agree with their report and want my phone back. They offer me more money straight away. Now have to pay an extortionate return shipping fee to get my own property back.

“Don’t trust the price they will give, they will find anything to lower the value. My phone had honestly fair wear and tear but they said it was average to poor knocking £150 off the total offered. When I refused the offer they wanted over £10 to return the phone to me. The customer service is poor and slow, the excuses are poor and ride.”
“Similar to the other reviewers, webuyanyphone is a scam. They tempt you with a great valuation, but then offer you a lot less once you've sent the phone. If you disagree with their revised valuation, you need to pay £10.95 to get the phone back. From my experience, if a lawyer had a closer look at their operation and how they mislead customers, the company would get closed down.”

“Bait and Switch on price
I recently sold my phone to this company and the entire experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. It’s all a bait and switch on Price. I agreed to a certain trade-in value when I sent in my phone, but after they received it, they said that the battery life is only 79% and there’s a small scratch (phone sieste with screen protector and case) they offered me a much lower price, initially 330 and then 219. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic, which is completely unprofessional.
When I declined their new, lower offer, they told me I had to pay for the postage if I wanted my phone back! This is ridiculous, considering they were the ones who changed the deal after I sent them my phone.
This entire process felt dishonest and like they were trying to take advantage of me. I would not recommend doing business with them unless you’re prepared to be lowballed and then charged extra if you want your device returned.
Save yourself the hassle and look for a company that respects its customers and honours its agreements.”
“Scam company. Sent perfect iPhone 13 , was quoted £305. Said it was worth £0.00 when the received it. The phone is perfect, was using it up until day I sent it. Fine if it’s not worth £300.. but £0 is valueless. How can a good working phone be valueless. Then has to spend £12 getting it back. Absolute conmen”
“It was a nearly new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. My son only bought it this year, but he died suddenly, so I'm dealing with his belongings and selling
the phone. Webuyanyphone Offered £569 then, when they got it, they reduced it to £120. They also said that I applied to purchase CyberSentry, which I did not and I got an alert from Google to say that I needed to change my passwords for sites I use as the passwords were found on tge Internet.
I've asked for the phone to be returned but I'll have to wait and see if they send it back. I'm going to report them to Action fraud.”
“An absolute scam! My husband sold his mobile to Webuyanyphone, who then passed ALL his information to Cybersentry.
A Direct debit was set up and £6.95 was taken from our bank account.
We've read Webuyanyphone terms and conditions and if you don't cancel the subscription, you'll be charged the same amount for the first 6 months, after that it is £14.95/month!!!”
“Stay away from this company of conmen!!! I sent my phone over a week ago, after receiving a valuation of £191 in good condition.
They received it the day after and all of a sudden was only worth £130 as it has a tiny mark about a millimetre on the bottom corner. The screen is perfect as is the back and in perfect working order. So it is in my eyes in VERY GOOD condition. But I thought that I would edge on the side of caution. I had previously been offered £170 at a shop, so told them thanks but no thanks. They still have my phone and are now telling me that I have to pay to have the phone sent back to me. Surely”
