“Lure you in with great prices when in reality it’s not they want to scam you not a good company had me crying on the phone thinking you can trust them.”
“Scammers - Don't use this company, sent phone in perfect condition, they sent a video showing a tiny mark on the screen even though it had a screen protector on since it was bought. They paid £70 less into my bank without me even accepting the offer.”
“Only had the option of 3 conditions when providing condition of the phone. (Pristine/perfect, Good, Poor) to get my quote. Offered £146 for iPhone 11 after selecting good. Phone had one small scratch in bottom left corner, rest of the phone was in good condition so not in poor condition. Get an email through offering £70. Declined offer then company holds my phone to ransom saying I have to pay £10.75. Really poor and dishonest practice. AVOID.”
“Do not use!
Offered £192 for phone which they reduced to £40 because it was scratched and worn which is absolute rubbish. Then they charge £10.75 to get your phone back.
Scam!”
“Brand new phone they offer you a good amount but then make it out like it’s got damage dropped the price £200 it had a screen protector on from Apple and a case only been used inside. Do not believe the the price the originally tell you it’s a rip off You Won’t get it”
“Absolutely appalling not only have they lied about problems with my phone and offered £90 instead of £280 but then also tried to con me out of £14 to send it back!!! I then questioned it as my husband was offered £8 to send his back and straight away it was change to £8 to send back, unbelievable DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY”
“Sent two iPhones in perfect condition - they revised the price downwards saying they were not in top condition - told them not to bother and had to pay to have them shipped back to me. Went with Music Magpie afterwards and they took them as "excellent condition" and paid out no issues. Avoid WeBuyAnyPhone - pure scam.”
“Shocking way to operate in this day and age, I didn’t like there offer which was very very low for a phone that showed very little signs of wear (kept in a case for its entire usage) the video they showed was not of my phone. Then charged me £10.75 to return it, this is after the advertise free returns. I complained, they said ‘read the small print’ shocking”
“Do not use. My partner is in bits with these scammers. Absolute rip of merchants. Lure you in with high offers and then they advise arrived in poor condition and reduce your offer to next of nothing. You’ll struggle to see how to get phone back. Will be reporting this company as it seem everyone experiencing same issue.”
“Another bad experience from this cowboy company
I went through a price comparison site for mobile phones and picked them. The site only allowed the ratings of
New
Good
Poor
Broken
So chose good based on what available
Sent off the phone and they said average due to some marks (it’s 2 years old and so accept this but really really minimal stuff)
They changed offer from £195 to £100 which is a complete rip off
Out of interest I went back to the original comparison site and picked Poor as it was clearly above this grading and they had in fact said ‘average’ in their response the offer was £100 so no difference between average and poor
I emailed and pointed this out and they came back with an offer of £10 more which was a joke
I asked for return of my phone and they then want £10.75 to return it to me
Avoid at all costs
——————————————————-
I have now had a response from we buy any phone
This refers to their ‘honesty policy’ funny that as I referred to it when I replied to their initial offer to point out that when they downgraded my phone from good to average I understood this but was hamstrung that there was no option to put average but only ratings of good or poor.
I knew my phone was much better than poor so had Hobsons choice really.
I also pointed out that just out of interest I had gone back to the website and listed’poor’ as the condition
It came back with a value of £100 which was my offer for my ‘average’ condition phone so no difference between average and poor - definitely not an honest policy
A rip off!
I wasn’t prepared to let them have the phone for this and they then tell me it is £10.75 to return post it saying it was not the grade I originally put. I was quite prepared to submit as average it was 2 years old but in full working order with minimal scratches and in its box
They decided I was inaccurate using their strategically limited choices available and it’s a rip off”
“con. offered £196.00 for my phone in perfect order and then they reduced it to zero as there were microscopic scratches on screen only visible by staged lighting set up. Now have to pay £11.00 to have it returned.”
“DO NOT deal with this company. I would give no stars if there was the option to. They offered me £108 - I sent my mint condition phone to them to which they said there were scratches front and back - there weren't, it was protected by a case and screen protector at all times. They reduced my offer to £0! When I asked for the phone to be returned, they increased my offer to £10.75. When I still asked for it to be returned, they charged me the £10.75 to return it! Wish I'd read reviews before dealing with this scam company.”
“DONT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!
Was offered reasonable about for my I phone 11 pro mint condition, once they had it they said it was scratched on the screen ( which it wasn’t always had a screen protector on ) they said the back was scratched , but it wasn’t ! And a fault on the camera which was a lie , so the offer came to £30 so told them to send me it back which they did but without the new charger and lead , when I questioned them they said they don’t send them back and accessories but sent me headphones ! What a scam please don’t use them”
“Usual . Once price for you to send you me phone and then offered a 3rd of the cost . What an embarrassment they are , the video they sent me looked like a different phone , screen scratched etc.. if they have damaged my phone I won’t let it lie - avoid”
