I used to shop at addition elle regularly, but when they changed the designer in the past few years I cannot stress how I'll fitting the clothes have gotten. I get that I am curvy but I don't want to wear a sack. The colors are also drab and boring. The prices have not gone up but the "sale" prices are laughable.

Went in to the Nanaimo BC Additionelle store today. The clothes aren't the quality they used to be and the 50-70% off sales racks had shirts at $65 still! Are you kidding me? Unfortunately, I will focus more of my shopping online from now on; their clothes are not worth the price charged.

The quality of clothing being pumped out by Additionelle and Penningtons for the past few years is terrible. The fabric is so thin on all their clothing including their so-called "sweaters" for winter. You need two layers under for their tops not to be see through and for some warmth in the winter. It's really shameful for them to charge so much for such poor quality, and that ruined by the end of a season. Is the justification because you've made your stores prettier??? To add insult to injury, they won't put anything on hold for you even if online shows only one or two of the item in store. Now, the stores won't even answer their phones at all. I want to thank you Additionelle for your sub-par clothing quality (this seasons designs were particularly ugly and boxy, ugh) and lack of good customer service since it's lead me to explore other stores. To all the ladies out there, I recommend trying out Torrid. All the sales ladies I've dealt with are friendly, don't give you attitude and their quality is excellent. Unfortunately, somethings are only available online and you have to pay for shipping but I find it to be a worthy tradeoff. There's also Laura which has their plus options (they're a little more but again, the quality and customer service makes up for it) and there are other stores. Additionelle needs a wakeup call that we're not willing to play along with their poor offerings for our hard earned dollars.

All stores are closing Aug 15. My online order has not been processed yet my credit card was charged.

Horrible... never buy from this store again. Made my order and was still charged after they cancelled my order. Their customer service is horrible as well. Was not satisfied whatsoever -1/10

Their fashion style had gone downhill prices keep going up quality going down. The staff too pushy and poor management

Very disappointed, this place cancelled my order without notifying customers about the cancellation and still charged customers. Why this company still exist not bankrupt.

I tried to order a few pairs of shoes online, but shortly after my order was placed, it was cancelled due to lack of inventory. My card had been charged, but was refunded immediately. I didn't have any problem with this happening — I know, especially with sale items, that things can sell out quickly! However, for the next week, I continued to see advertisements for the exact items I ordered and they continued to show as in stock even though my order was cancelled. When I contacted their customer service team to figure out how I am supposed to determine whether items were in stock, they told me my order was cancelled because my credit card information was input wrong and encouraged me to try and input it correctly next time. I know this is not true, because my credit card was charged and I received an email specifically telling me the order was cancelled due to inventory issues. Also, this is the only website I have ever used that would complete an order if the credit card info was incorrect. When I replied with images of my credit card being charged and the email from the company, they started to ignore me and refuse to answer my messages. I have messaged them on Facebook multiple times and sent in a complaint to their customer service team, and none of my issues were addressed. All I wanted to understand was whether or not the items were actually available, and if they weren't, inform them that they were still being advertised publicly. Instead, I got blamed for the order being cancelled and basically ignored by their customer service team, who I started dealing with about a month ago.

I ordered two pairs of boots online from Additionelle on September 22, 2019. They were shipped through Canada post on September 23, 2019 with the expected arrival date of October 1, 2019. One week passed the expected delivery date, I attempted to contact Additionelle through their toll free number, but was put on hold for so long, I had to end the call. Instead I thought I would contact Canada post to track the registered package. After waiting for a week to get a response, Canada Post informed me that they were unable to locate the package and that I should contact Additionelle to re-order or get a refund. So after waiting on hold with the inept Additionelle voice prompts and such, I was finally able to speak with someone whom said, they had to complete their own investigation before they could refund my money. I offered to give them the file number from Canada Post to call and verify, as it was after all associated to their tracking number that was used when they shipped the parcel to me. I was told that would not suffice and I would have to wait until they completed their own investigation which could take another 10 business days. And then and only then, would they refund my credit card. They said they could not just ship another order, but they would have to refund my credit card and I could place another order and that is the only way to complete the process. Additionelle continued to put blame on Canada Post, which I can see why they would, after all Canada Post lost the parcel. However, upon speaking to two different people both of them claimed that Canada Post does have a history of losing their parcels. So then my response was, well then it is Additionelles fault. If they know that Canada Post continually loses their shipments to customers, but continually uses them for delivery, then they did it KNOWING their customers, potentially face not getting their purchase....and they just don't care. So here I am, one month later, no boots and no refund on my credit card. I think Additionelle online was probably the worst online purchase I have ever made. When the call center agent, kindly suggested that if I needed the boots right away, I could go back online and place the order over again, my response was "Are you crazy woman?!?! Why would I go back on your website, give you more of my money and risk, once again, having nothing to show for it??? Would you if it was you?!?". Needless to say, she didn't have much to say after that. I would NOT recommend ordering from Additionelle online unless, you understand and accept that potential absurd risks you are taking.

Great products, horrible customer service. No response from customer service after several messages regarding a return. Been a loyal customer for many years but will not continue to purchase from a company that treats their customers this way.

Purchased an item online at a store cuz they didn't have my size. Got an email saying item wasn't in stock. (It was when ordered) Called about refund was told it would take 8 weeks or go to the store. Went to the store (an hour away), was told they can't do a refund. Still haven't got my money back. Won't be shopping there again.

I ordered one thing, received something completely different. I was on hold for 1/2 hour this morning for Customer Service then hung up. I emailed them instead. 8 hours later I still haven't heard from anyone. I am waiting on hold again tonight, it has been 15 mins. so far. I just want my money back. I will NEVER order from this company again!!!!!!

Their website is easy to read and well laid out but they don't have the option to pay by gift card on the website.
