"During my trip to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, I booked accommodation through Agoda, expecting the room and conditions that were shown in the listing. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different.\r\n\r\nIt felt like the platform was allowing hosts to mislead travelers. The people managing the property made demands, pressured us, and the situation quickly became very uncomfortable. Instead of the accommodation that was advertised, we ended up in a place that was far worse than what had been promised online.\r\n\r\nWe contacted Agoda support, hoping they would help resolve the issue. Yet nothing was done.\r\n\r\nNo solution. No compensation. No accountability.\r\n\r\nOverall, the entire experience felt like a system designed to confuse travellers, pressure them into unexpected payments, and then place them in completely different apartments than the ones advertised. In our opinion, this crosses the line into outright deception and fraud.\r\n\r\nWhat you see on Agoda is not necessarily what you get. You might book a specific room in a particular building, only to be moved somewhere else entirely \u2014 into a different building with noticeably lower standards.\r\n\r\nOverall, the experience left us feeling deceived and extremely disappointed. Travellers should be very cautious when booking here."
