I also had very bad experience with Agoda. Unreasonable processing fee without given what the charges they put on my flight booking, approached many times customer services and all took salary don’t solving problem. Keep repeating same reason and push to bank even though the charges clearly showed on my bank statement is charged by bank. Really suck but with this platform, avoid using this and you will regretted if there happened any problem, your problem never get solved properly!

awful. booked a hotel in London, they emailed me saying poayment hadnt gone through, so I booked again with a different card. both payments went through. they refused to cancel took it up with my CC, agoda appelaed depite being in wrong. I book 100 hotels a year and will never use them again and I suggest you dont either

I just received the first booking date for 16-17 is correct but second booking date ishould be the same on l6-17 January but the give wrong booking dates 4-5 . I tried contact Agoda telephone and email to change the correct dates 16-17 January not dates 4-5 January but no reply. Kindly return reply urgently tks

I have had several unfavorable experiences with Agoda. One, I was trying to cancel one day of my four night stay. It was well before the cancellation deadline. The only way to cancel one day of my confirmed reservation was to cancel the entire stay but when I tried to just rebook the same days minus one, I was told those day were no longer available. I could not find any other way to cancel just one day of my stay. When I reached out to Agoda several times, I did not get a reply. Another occasion I need to shift my stay by one day. I was exactly one hour past the deadline to avoid a fee. I tried to make the change and was told the property wouldn’t allow it. When I got to the hotel, they said they are willing to to make the change but Agoda would not allow it. It was frustrating! There are others too. I can not recommend this company.

I booked a week-long stay at a hotel advertised on Agoda as “newly built,” with a 4.6/5 rating. I paid the full amount upfront through Agoda, as a “Pay Now” booking. Upon arrival, I was told my room had a plumbing issue and that I’d be relocated. To secure my agreement, the front desk showed me a single photo of a clean, modern-looking room at the alternative property. I accepted, not wanting conflict on arrival. The actual room was nothing like that image. It was old, dirty, and extremely noisy due to ongoing construction—both inside the building and directly outside my window. Bed linens were torn, stained, and never changed during housekeeping. The substitute hotel had a 3.3/5 rating—a clear downgrade from what I paid for. I contacted Agoda after my stay with a full account of what happened. I provided multiple pieces of evidence: photos comparing the promised room versus the reality, two videos showing continuous construction noise, and a clear explanation that I never paid the second hotel—because my booking was fully settled with Agoda. For several days, Agoda responded with automated requests for documentation I couldn’t provide—like a receipt from a hotel I never paid. Only after I insisted and shared visual proof did they finally acknowledge “significant discrepancies in the quality of your accommodation.” They then offered a 20% refund—but framed it as a “gesture of goodwill,” not as accountability for failing to deliver the booked service. They also deleted my honest review from their platform. I’m sharing this as a warning. Agoda will sell you one product, deliver another, deflect with impossible demands, and erase your feedback when it’s inconvenient. I’ve since switched permanently to Trip.com and filed a chargeback with my bank—because fair compensation shouldn’t require a fight. If you book with Agoda, document everything. And don’t assume loyalty will be respected.

first time i booked a hotel with agoda, they had no idea about it, when i got there. second time, the agoda app booked a stay for one month in advance. the first time i was able to make arangements at the hotel's reception and the second time i was not. the hotel said that they would be glad to change the dates or cancel the booking with a full refund, but that i had to do it through agoda. agoda app and agoda support made that impossible. i lost all of the payment. support said that they contacted the hotel and that my issue would be resolved, but some days later my support ticket was closed and nothing has been done.

I booked a non-refundable stay at Swandor Topkapi Palace via Agoda (Reservation No: 563131735) for 9–11 August 2025. Unfortunately, the system automatically registered both of my children as 3 years old, when in fact they are 14 and 10. I tried to correct this via Agoda support, but the system kept giving automated answers and closed the chat without offering any real help. There was no way to speak to a live agent, and the phone line only provides service in unfamiliar languages. As a concerned parent, I simply want to avoid any issues during check-in at the hotel due to this age mismatch. I kindly request that Agoda either notify the hotel or allow age correction.
