“Purchased two bags of Premium 100% Natural Lump Charcoal. Disappointed to find several large rocks and lots of fines and small pieces of charcoal. I have only been using BGE lump charcoal on my egg and until now very satisfied with the quality. I hope this is a one off otherwise will look elsewhere.”

“I love the BGE - excellent advice and customer service when ordering and delivered spot on time. The emails that I continue to get have good ideas and tips which are useful. Impressed the family and neighbours at baby's 1st birthday party with 5 hr lamb and pulled pork done to perfection. Great British brekkie works well too!!!”

“My husband bought our Big Green Egg last summer when we moved into our first family home. We love the Big Green Egg and have always had a great customer experience when purchasing eggstra items! We'd use the £100 vouchers wisely to be able to continue to cook awesome ribs!”

“Excellent product; not a barbecue but incredibly versatile (direct/ indirect method) to cook a range of things- burgers, steaks, chicken, fish, roasted vegetables, pizza and we even cooked the Christmas Turkey. Lighting the Egg is very straightforward; gauging the right temperature takes time and experience but is achievable and the purchase of a temperature gauge fork has helped. The food has a distinctive flavour and is tender and juicy. It is different to an oven. You can experiment with different charcoals. Dealing with the Alfreso team has been straightforward and the delivery prompt in the UK. We had a broken cast iron griddle which was replaced and the interaction was fair and uncomplicated. You also can tap into (through You Tube) a wider "Eggheads" community (mostly American) for recipe additions and tips, if you like!”

“Great products supplied with great customer care. I use my large egg 3 or 4 times a week even in the winter. The Kelly Bronze Turkey cooked on the egg was perfect for Christmas this year. Can't wait to get a Mini Max for those weekend breakfasts!”

“The green egg was a Xmas gift so not had a lot of use due to weather. My big disappointment is the significant lack of instruction and cooking ideas for something that my kids shelled out over £1200 for. I have figured it out by you tube tuition videos and other sites for recipes. It makes you feel like once you have the egg you don't want or need ongoing customer interaction. My ongoing relationship for recipes and accessories is now with other suppliers as a result.”

“Great product, easy to order but very disappointed with the delivery. It was left on my front doorstep (not a safe porch as delivery driver noted) for all to see. Anyone could have taken the item and everyone knew that my house was unoccupied because of the parcel left in view!”

“I was sceptical of the concept initially but once I made the commitment I haven't looked back. Steak is outstanding and once you've mastered the basics you'll producing restraint quality dishes. The Christmas turkey was truly amazing and pizza Outstanding!”

“Excellent piece of kit! Surprising how easily the temperature can be controlled to give first class results. Have grilled, roasted, smoked, all with great success. Using it even in winter. Would highly recommend.”

“I purchased the egg mates for my husband for Christmas. Delivery was very quick, but the fitting instructions were missing in the box. I didn't find out until a few weeks later when he opened the present. Fortunately there are plenty of youtube manuals online and the mechanism wasn't very complicated so he could mount them without any issues. My husband loves the new additions to his egg. They are super useful, but the composite looks a bit cheap I think. In my opinion, wood would be better but they only do the big tables in wood. Since we have a cover it would be protected from the rain anyways. Husband is happy, that´s all that matters!”

“I love my BGE, Best BBQ in the world, best charcoal in the world, cooked for 15 hours on one load, no problem. Delivery is always super fast and on time and customer service is always friendly and excellent. I also like the amount of advice a recipes on the website which is always great for trying new things on the ever versatile BGE. No complaints only recommendations. Cheers.”

“Great unit. The large size is perfect for my needs. I am now using the egg almost 3 times a week, even in the UK weather... it really is an outdoor oven more than it is a barbecue. I'd encourage everyone to do a LOT of research online before getting down first few cooks - you can learn a lot from the egghead forums etc. and save yourself a lot of hassle. All delivered as expected and received very promptly with accessories etc. The only negative points; - My unit came with some silicon sealant around the lower air vent. I guess this is a good idea as it stops air escaping (or coming in) when the vent is fully closed, but the sealant was applied really messily. It was kind of smeared on the sides of the ceramic and I had to remove it during installation. - The large nest seems to be SUPER SUPER tight on the large egg. Had to fully loosen all bolts in order to get the egg to slide all the way to the base. When tightening it felt very very snug... no way it could move now.”

“I bought an egg after much deliberation last year. It is my first barbecue. I could not be happier with my purchase. I have cooked fast and slow, meat, fish, vegetables, through the summer and the winter, and yet I feel like I am only beginning to explore its possibilities. Five star is an understatement. And thanks to the UK distributors who do a terrific job.”
