What an experience I'm having! I'm a bag of nerves. 4 different invoices to change 2 cylinders double lock. Engineer arrived, changed locks, in less than 5 min. Why is the saga continuing? I received an alert from my bank this morning about this access. Don't just be sorry about my bad experience do something about it. Why send my account into overdraft? If you are experiencing problems with your computer inform customers both on telephone and email. Customers really need to be careful with this company. My experience shows that they charge you different prices at a whim. After closing a dispute they continue to take unauthorised payments from my account.

Appalling customer service - went for Banham as thought that they have best locks and that I'm paying higher than market rate for better service and locks. The service is the worst, 1) they call same day for a service that they haven't notified us of/booked in 2) Banham Lock installs email never replies 3) they book a 5 hour time slot and they show show up outside of the slot. The lock also doesn't seem to be functioning well.

Awful and chaotic service—the installation of a simple lock already 3 months and counting. They dont respond to phone or emails. Dont show up for installation appointments. And lose track of orders. I truly regret i will be stuck with a banham product until I get these replace. Avoid Banham at all cost!!!!

One of the most unprofessional companies I've ever dealt with. Installed an alarm and a doorbell with a camera. We just could not find anyone in the Company who knew anything about the doorbell and how the camera/sensitivity/direction etc worked. It became very clear that they were selling kit that none of the installers or technicians had been trained on. Then when we changed our internet supplier we needed some settings changed. We were told that the visit would not be charged because it was still under warranty - the lady didn't even bother quoting their call out charges. When the technician arrived he spent 5 minutes changing the setting and then told me that as it was not their equipment we would have to pay a call out charge. I made a massive mistake using Banham - even their own technician told me that the Ring set up is better!

I was led to believe that I was buying a top quality intruder alarm system upgrade and that Banhams provide a quality premium service, which then justified the premium price tag. In reality, they provided an incomplete installation which meant we could not close and secure our back door properly and could not set the alarm. I telephoned Banhams the next day and raised a formal complaint on the call and followed it up in writing by email. The Finance team are not contactable directly and never responded to any of the 6 contacts I made to them via their contact form and messages left with customer services. They raised an invoice to pay an annual fee upfront when it was quoted as payable monthly and then, after it had been agreed that this was in error and needed to be changed, sent me a threatening letter demanding immediate payment of the invoice for the full amount. My formal complaint was ignored for 50 days until I escalated it myself. The manager of the installations team completely ignored my complaint, closed the ticket without responding, and allegedly arranged for an engineer to attend our property to sort out why the system was not operating properly, but no engineer turned up. My complaint was finally dealt with by the Head of installations who conducted our correspondence entirely by email as he was uncontactable by telephone and chose not to telephone me. He refused to provide a breakdown of the installation costs which has led me to believe that Banhams significantly overcharge their customers for the products they install. One example is that a contact sensor is available directly from their supplier online for £9.99, whereas Banhams seem to charge well over £100 for the item, before installation costs. Even after removing the cost of one item which we never asked to be installed and providing a 20% discount, I am left to believe that I have been massively overcharged for the installation. Banhams recognised that their customer service had been dreadful and discounted my service fee as a result. I am left believing that I have paid far too much for a straightforward installation of overpriced components. They seem to charge premium prices for a sub-standard service. Customer Relations and the Banhams MD were copied in on all the correspondence and made no contribution to the complaints process. I contacted customer services on the telephone on 3 separate occasions and was promised someone would come back to me within 24 hours, but this never happened on any occasion.

I deal with many suppliers but Banham is literally the worst. They are either understaffed or too busy. Total chaos, the staff don't know anything. Every time you phone you speak to somebody else who has no idea about your order. Sent their surveyor twice to wrong address. The locks are great but the service is shocking.

OMG the saga with Banham has been incredible. The sales guy and the installers were pretty good. After that has been a total nightmare. We had a number of issues, sensors in the wrong place, doorbell that I didn’t understand and the alarm not actually operational. Over the past 6 weeks we have spoken to pretty much the entire support team and virtually no-one seems to know about the doorbell and the app. They seem to be perfectly happy selling a product that the support team have never seen. They have even sent people to the house to sort it out who have never seen the product. The sales manager has been trying really hard and her exasperation at the complete incompetence has actually become amusing. I genuinely wish I had never spoken to them and gone with a simpler security solution. Don’t waste your money!

We had a key had become stuck in the lock and could not be pulled out.   Banham told us it would be £117.60 for the removal of the key and a service.   The 4 screws on the lock are old and have become worn.   We asked the technician to change the screws after he had finished his 15 minutes service, and he said they were like that, became very defensive and said he didn’t have the screws with him. We also pointed out that 1 screw wasn’t even screwed in properly, it was sticking out, his response to this was: “I don’t want to tighten it too much”. However it wasn’t even screwed in properly, so it wasn’t a case of “tightening it too much”.   As part of the job of removing the key and servicing the lock, he had to unscrew the screws. It would then make sense for the technician to carry some spare screws. e.g. if one was damaged or lost during the service. Anyone screwing and unscrewing these screws would only add to the wear and tear on the screws. I then phoned Banham to ask for the technician to come to replace the screws, the service assistant said it would be £2 pounds per screw plus VAT !   It would make sense for replacement screws to be offered as part of the £117,60 service charge. Banham Is the manufacturer of the lock, is the only company who have service my lock, they don’t replace screws ! Technicians don’t carry screws in their van, they said it is very rare to have to replace screws, they charge £117,60 for a call out and can’t replace 1 or 2 screws ! This is my last lock from Banham.

Honestly the quality of the locks has declined.I've just got a replacement for a M97 lock that I have had to return - the plating is extremely poor on both. also the face plate is bent, but it should bent back when fitted. In summary, these locals are NO LONGER worth the premium the they once deserved - absolute junk now. I gave the customer service team chance to sort it - it took 2 weeks for them to even recognise me, I've to chase and then the same poor quality product was sent - with the same faults. Nothing like their reputation or their marketing images.

I’ve had the worst experience and if I could leave no stars I would. I had two Banham locks fitted in Jan 2018 for £443.40, I then had my bag stolen with my keys and address so had to change them in April 2018 and was charged a further £529.80 to replace the same locks. One of the locks then started sticking in July 2018, so I called Banham, who confirmed my locks were under guarantee and sent an engineer. The engineer arrived, took a look and said that practically all of his jobs that week were due to the same issue, because of the recent heatwave the natural movement in wooden doors made the locks slightly out of alignment. He said I could probably sort it myself by making the box hole bigger with a screwdriver, but not to worry, he’d put it right. After a few minutes of making the box hole slightly bigger, he gave me a bill of £114. I refused to pay it because I was not told I’d be charged or given a choice and I was under the impression it was all covered by the guarantee when I called to book the appointment and not told at any point that I could be charged. Over the last year I’ve received emails from Banham rangeing from downright rude to threatening and this week I received a letter threatening to take me to court and saying that they won’t honour any contracts I’ve taken out with them. They decided to claim that my door had dropped, although the engineer gave no mention of this and said the problem was due to the weather. These threats were despite the fact that I referred this to Trading Standards and Citizens Advice and I advised Banham accordingly. Trading Standards allocated a case number and adviced me that Banham are in breach of contract and that their actions are unlawful and also in breach of The Consumer Rights Act 2015. They explained that because they fitted the locks to wooden doors then they should allow for natural movement, otherwise the locks wouldn’t be fit for purpose, especially as this happened 4 months after they were fitted for the second time. They further advised that this would mean that they were not fitted with ‘reasonable care and skill’. Furthermore, they gave me the impression that I wouldn’t be charged, didn’t give me a quote before the 5 minute job and then attempted to charge me. Banham didn’t address any of the facts I raised in my emails and decided to just keep repeating that the problem was because my door had dropped, which it clearly hadn’t.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! It installs an alarm and if you cancel the contract, the alarm keeps going off randomly so you have to call them out to fix it. They charge you for that service and you have no other choice other than put up with the alarm going off randomly. WARNING, DO NOT USE.

Dreadful company to deal with. I would suggest anyone changes their locks. I needed a new key and it took me 8 weeks and many silly discussions with Banham. In the end I changed my locks as I was so fed up with dealing with them.

locks, keyhole, letterbox and handles cost over 1300. we wanted to update on our existing setup, just an updated Banham. we requested two separate locks with separate keys=they gave us the same lock and key for bottom and top. originally we had a turn lock open on the inside for top lock, easy not to fiddle with keys when dog, children, house gets lots of traffic= they gave us a keyhole lock from the inside, so now anytime the doorbell rings, I need to run to my key cabinet to fiddle with the door, if i leave the key in the keyhole while i am indoors, then whoever comes home after we go to sleep cant come in. They insisted that my husband signed off on this. My husband is trusting man who spoke to the salesman/surveyor and explained what we wanted and trusted he would understand, when he first came I was there when he said we want the same thing but with Banham and a different color. Now we come to fit: 1) My door handle on the inside goes down but does not go back up. 2) The fitter scraped down so much of our wood door, where the key locks into the wall component, that you can FEEL THE AIR BLOW THROUGH. And see a bit of LIGHT come through, 3) The mailbox has about half an INCH (not centimeters!) INCH space open from the top and air blows through that besides that it looks unsightly. I am so displeased and here I am talking to about half a dozen people and spending hours trying to get this resolved. This is an exception to the rule that says you get what you pay for!

I paid over £600 to get two locks fitted. Whilst they are expensive i assumed they would last ( i should have noticed the one year warranty). Just after one year they both failed meaning i could not leave my home until they were replaced, costing my another £400. i will not use their locks again for sure. Very expensive waste of money. i will also share this with social media to ensure people don't fall for this obvious scam (why would both locks fail at the same time one month post warranty)

CCTV ( cost £1740 ), GRILLS FOR WINDOWS, SHUTTERS FOR DOORS REQUESTED but installed grill & anti bandit gate ( cost £5935 ), FOR TOTAL HIGH SECURITY TO STOP BEING COMPROMISED SPECIALLY FROM FRONT DOOR I was made to believe a tested secure equipment will be installed with a fair Banham serivce. What I received is as follow: CCTV : Req 2 cameras with recording to view 2 areas 8m X 5m - provided a monitor which I did not need now buttons do not work properly. Playback recording after 21 days stopped, date & time does not match. After complain it is trying to reboot which I have not activated or given permission to link. It is appears recording is being interfered but given no access for anyone. GRILLS FOR WINDOWS - four point locking system but are not flushed to my wall & open visible screws. Some I can put all my finger & thumb in the gap to pull the frame so one may not need hammer to remove. SHUTTERS FOR DOORS : advised by salesman to have grill at the back & front anti bandit gate ( cost £1485) without explaining locking system. Now I have single lock with gap going from top to bottom around 1 cm & gap above & bottom too. The lock bolt not flushed, fixed with 2 coloured strip has a visible hugs gap. Back door grill: charged for 2 door (cost £1280) but only fitted one & difficult in closing. Keys & locks: ordered 3 separate locks with 7 keys but fitted 2 lock given 2 keys which open all including gate. To buy further keys pay £15 each but after complaints now saying I was informed it will be changed so why nothing was done. Customer Service: only corporate answers without acknowledging their is fault or survey ordered to put it right. Would you recommend when I have not received proper customer service or installation & wondering which “ism” may apply, sexism, agaism, racism, classism or simply nickism” - so you decide.
