“The guy from the compliance team who called me to explain why my documents needs to be certified is an ignorant person. He kept talking over me and made me feel stupid about the whole certification process. It's a lengthy process and additional cost to me. I told him to save each other time and refund my money but he kept talking until I have to raise my voice. He refused to accept my explanation and got to my nerve trying to convince me to provide the document. All I want is my £5k back!”

However, I can assure you that our actions are completely aligned with the established legal and regulatory industry processes that we must adhere to. To explain this in a little more detail, when a new customer applies to invest in one of our bonds, it is very important that we verify their identity. In fact, it is part of the Financial Conduct Authority’s anti-money laundering regulations. Unfortunately, your credentials failed to pass our automatic ID verification and we haven’t received a certified copy of your ID, so we’ve been unable to complete your application. Having looked into your file, we can assure you that your funds will be returned to you within a matter of days. We will absolutely take on board your comments regarding any alleged rudeness.
