“A week after half my order was delivered I'm still awaiting delivery of the balance. Have had to chase both Beer Hawk and UK Mail (possibly the UK's worst delivery company) several times, been told several half-truths and lots of promises made but still awaiting my goods. They seem to be far more efficient at taking orders and money than delivering goods.”

“BeerHawk is a very good specialist on-line beer retailer that sells a huge range of quality beers from all over the world, plus stuff like badged glasses. I have ordered beer from them several times, have found the website easy to use (with one exception, see below), and have never been disappointed with the quality of the beers. Delivery has always been prompt and, on the one occasion when there was a 'blip' (one case delivered, not two) a phone call to the company put that right in 24 hours. Compared to other on-line beer suppliers, another selling point for BeerHawk is that they do not charge for delivery if your order is over £50 (it's not difficult to order that amount of beer even if you can afford to do so only occasionally). They offer a good choice of mixed cases, or you can choose your beers one at a time, building up your website basket. Their beer prices do tend to be somewhat higher, especially for high-strength beers, than you would pay in Sainsbury's, but then you would not normally find these delicious beers on sale in the UK. One minor gripe - they sometimes enclose with your beer "£5 off your next order" vouchers, which are fairly useless as the voucher does not give an expiry date. To get this, you have to visit the website but I have found that part of the website difficult to use. It is very frustrating to do your on-line order and key in the voucher code, only to be told it is not valid (presumably, out of time). Printing the expiry date on the voucher would be so much easier, even better would be to allow a 6-month validity period. But, in the round, I would strongly recommend this company.”
