Holiday booked at Knottebu westleton, have booked many times with Best of Suffolk. Holiday cancelled because of Coronavirus. Credit note issued only for this property up until December 2021. This cottage is fully booked!! Have emailed several times to ask if we can change to another property or have a refund. No one is answering the phone or my emails. Really very upset and now worried we may loose £600 come on best of Suffolk please contact me

Extremely disappointed. Out of pocket by over £400. Our holiday was cancelled by me five days before they decided to cancel all holidays due to Covid 19 outbreak. The total lack of empathy and flexibility from the owner who would not let us move the booking to another date forced me to cancel, so we lost a deposit of over £420. 5 days after I cancelled, the company said the owner had decided to let us change dates, funny that, probably because she was set to lose £1200. The dates however were not convenient for us so we were still not allowed a refund of deposit because 'they offered us a change of dates' irrespective of whether or not they are convenient to the paying customer! Then you look at their cancellation policy and every hurdle in the book is in there so you cant get your money back. Even if we'd taken out their Booking Protect Insurance they wont cover you for epidemic or natural disaster. Absolutely disgraceful. I'm glad I cancelled when I did as I was 6 days away from paying the whole remaining balance of £1200 and I dont think I'd have got this back!! Its all very well offering to change dates but if they're not convenient for you, be prepared to lose money due to circumstances completely beyond your control. They use FEEFO for their reviews and they're all 5 stars but they have control over that and another review on this site states they delete reviews that dont show them in a good light. Wish I'd found these reviews first.

I have to remain Anonymous. To receive my refund There was conditions, DONT use any form of Social media !! Considering my complaint was of discrimination, why could we not have a refund like I am aware of so any others? This company is underhanded, greedy and giving consideration one of the directors ... promotes life couching and posts “ if today gets difficult, ground yourself in the here and now” ... the here and now is you are ruthlessly underhanded! If your looking for a refund , keep going !!!

Terrible customer care. Finally got a refund, but only after threatening court. This was also on the condition I don’t post on social media or tell any one else about refund! Very sad way to run a business. Will not return

I posted some feedback on these people just 1 or 2 days ago and just to let everyone know after threatening them with legal action based on the fact their terms and conditions are not legally binding because they are clearly changeable (that is a criminal offence). They have now today refund my parents with the full deposit. However they have not refunded the booking fee. So, if you have a similar problem with them I'd suggest hang in their and make it clear to them you know they are acting illegally and threaten them with legal action. It worked for me so I'm sure it will work for more people. If in doubt contact the Citizens Advice and they will direct you what to do. Pleas also find enclosed par to the letter I sent them...

Best of Suffolk , sadly NOT best any longer ! Had been a long standing customer up to these unpredicted times of COVID-19, £1200 of my money withheld, being told can only rebook same property! Can never talk to anyone, I have asked numerous times for the directors to contact me. Withholding my money to keep there business afloat through these scary times. When they receive VAT deferral till 2021, loans and rateable refunds. While I have no income and using my money for something I didn’t even cancel and couldn’t of been rented out to anyone else! Also google reviews that should be independent !!??? Mine had been taken off same with Feefo?!! Feel so let down and confused to why and how can a company treat you so bad? When they are receiving help from the government as a consumer we are treated so badly... shameful ! There are social groups currently with same grievance on same company...

COVD-19 unfair and unjust withholding of refund, have tried contacting, even google reviews deleted !? Sadly deceitful handling, keeping my money to keep there business afloat!

A company with no regard for customers. Due to go to a cottage in Rougham Suffolk on 4th May for our son's wedding (obviously postponed now due to current situation), Rectory Farm Cottage. Best of Suffolk cancelled our booking, but only initially offered a possible rebooking to the end of 2020 and said no possibility of a refund (£800+). We cannot rebook as we don't know when the wedding will be. Very unhelpful. They have not provided the service they contracted to provide. Nor does the insurance they sold us (Another £63 wasted) cover the current situation. Be warned. We are seriously out of pocket because of this company.

Worst company I have ever met. Wide angle photos house half the size. Secure garden not secure. Heating not working. Stairs like a cliff. They wouldn’t help or do anything absolute worst company do not deal with.

Quite simply the WORST holiday letting company we have ever used!!!! We booked a property for the Easter weekend in 2020, Then Covid-19 came and we were advised not to travel as we were in forced lockdown, as advised by the Government and by BoS themselves, who sent a communication saying that all their properties are closing and that we should try to move our booking to another date (they did not specify that we could only re-book for dates only in 2020). Contacted BoS and asked for same period of Easter 2021, they refused and could only re-book for 2020. So they offered us available dates in Late November which were completely unnacceptable! We then asked them for a full refund and they refused point blank, claiming they were following 'Government advice' and abiding with their T&C's with the actual property owners, and that we should do the same and claim from our travel insurance. Contacted our travel insurance who suggested we make a claim with our Credit card provider under section 75 act, so we did and now they won't refund us our money! We are now in the process of making a claim against them via the courts to get our money back. The way this company has dealt with their customers during this pandemic is absolutely atrocious, and i am sad to say we are only 1 of 100's of other customers let down by them. They would'nt even contact us by phone to discuss our matter. Rest assured we will not be using this company ever again!!!

Warning ⚠️ Feefo 5 star ⭐️ awarded ? 4.7 ? And no 1 ⭐️ bad reviews? Why? Because they are managed deleted and manipulated by best of Suffolk! I have placed 2 x reviews on and they have been deleted, like many others. This company take your money 💰, don’t respond or take calls, give out vouchers and won’t give money back... Only by the looks of “certain customers” WARNING UNSCRUPULOUS DEALINGS!

Just like everyone else, money paid but no refund allowed. I'm going down the chargeback route with my credit card provider - I've already done it successfully with another company so it should work here too. A distinct plus in my favour is that Best of Suffolk (or should that be Worst?) don't supply terms & conditions at the time of booking, so I can prove they've changed them (unless they had a crystal ball and knew about Covid-19 last year!). Appalling company to deal with - and as for posting the ludicrously fake views on this site . . . .

No refund for cancelled holiday. No email answered and no phone to talk to any one. Rude staff. I have noticed in last day lots of 5 star review come up. These emails match ones off other review sites which are members of staff, as they used their really names.

Appalling behaviour Non contactable ! Ignoring requests for refunds, holding money that hasn’t been paid out to property owners. Encouraging to rebook June onwards, when no official safe guard has been lifted! Can only rebook same cottage upto December 2021 , with price increases and extra charges. I had always booked through best of Suffolk over the last 3 years and promoted them through our own business, we visited Suffolk over 5 times at year with them. Seen “another side” when your not happy or flying the flag ... Sad I can no longer recommend!

Warning Warning!! .. this is a very dodgy company, with holding peoples money during the pandemic, do not Book with them !! No refunds .. no contact with the customer!!! They steal your money and run... we have lost almost £1000!!

Being totally ignored by this company after being very Loyal to them before.. Since the pandemic began , they refuse to answer emails and telephone calls , about the our holiday, not very professional and they are alienating their customers, by ignoring them and consequently jeopardising future business , the trust between them and the customer has been totally lost sadly . Do not Recommend. Very poor customer service. No refund at present 😪😪😪

Booked through best of suffolk but had holiday cancelled due to COVID 19. Holiday cost was £2500. Refusing to issue refund, only offering credit note which is no good to me right now nor will help with claiming through travel insurance. Not answering e mails or phone calls too.

Booking cancelled by the company due to the virus. Having paid in full was told that the only option was to rebook, even that has to be this year and obviously there's not much chance of that happening. Feel robbed, they have our money, we have no holiday. They mention insurance, but their insurance does not cover. Very unhappy and have no intention of visiting this region again with this company.

Much like many people recently giving poor reviews for Best of Suffolk my elderly parents had a holiday stay cancelled because of Covid-19 and only a credit note has been supplied, no refund. Looking into this in more detail I’ve found the company to be committing a criminal offence. Their terms and conditions are not send to customers but only accessible via a web link. This makes them changeable after a contract is agreed with each booking. This is clearly evident because my parents booked in January before Covid-19 was a known issue and yet there is now a Civid-19 clause inverted into their Terms and Conditions. This is a criminal offence. Anyone effected by this should be made aware and take this up this the company directly. I have been in communication with the company several times already building up to this point and I’ll keep you informed of progress. If you want confirmation of all this please contact Citizens Advice and they confirm this and more about my points. I’ll keep record of this post just in case someone stops it from being posted as what they are doing here is wrong!

Booked last year for May 2020 balance became due ... encouraged to pay and moved to June extra £370. So now my June is cancelled I’ve paid £1700 and been offered a credit voucher. No, I want all my money back. Why should they hold my money for 12 months. Disgraceful. No answer to emails or phone.
