“I purchased a handsome hardcover edition of Melville's Moby Dick in part because I wanted the spine portion of the book's dust jacket to be visible on my bookshelf. However, this part of the dust jacket was partly covered by some kind of Better World inventory label. The adhesive was such that when I removed the label (which I did very carefully) some of the paper went with it, marring the dust jacket. Why not use an adhesive call that be easily peeled off?
