Here's the thing
Many items are from overseas in which case you wait up to 55 days to recieve your goods. You are still responsible for the extra customs duties and so on. Local goods always take at least a week to get to me.
Although bidorbuy can resolve most issues with sellers, there have been times they have been unable to assist and I have had to resolve the problem on my own...
Then theres ebay
Many items can be bought and shipped in where all costs thereof are clearly stated and the process is pain free. Everytime there has been an issue with a seller ebay stepped in and resolved the issue. The customer is king and you are protected full stop, no questions asked.
Amazon is my favourite. Theres a reason why Jeff Bezos is the world's richest man. Amazon is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of service.
If I choose the fast shipping option, items always arrive within a week to 9 days. Every time. I have more often had items from amazon ship, clear customs and get to me faster than bidorbuy. Again, all costs are clearly stated and the process is pain free. If customs duties are more than what was charged, amazon will pay the excess. If it is less than stated, they refund the difference back to your card...
I have to also mention that ebay and amazon are both mostly cheaper than buying off bidorbuy and takealot.
I do believe in supporting local, but at this stage and after 2 decades of bidorbuy being operational, they would be able to outperform local deliveries against amazon which is much further away.”
“I had an issue with payment for a specific order, I wasn't notified on whether the payment was being processed, which is a notification I was supposed to receive (Perhaps that was a mistake on my end, they give a reference code to use but I saw nowhere to enter it throughout the payment process which probably resulted in it not registering for that specific order), that said in order to correct my mistake I provided proof of payment to show that I did indeed make a payment, its been a few days and they haven't gotten back to me, it almost feels like I've been scammed.”

“My problems with bidorbuy platform goes thus:
1. Sellers can nit be allowed to be rude to buyers all in the name of wanting stars, neither can sellers be allowed to bully or control buyers opinion, buyers should have the freedom to rate goods as their experience with a sellers service not the seller bullying and commanding the buyer to rate the positive or there will be a consequence and example of such seller is Nutronix.
Such type of brash and bullies shouldn't be allowed on a platform like bidorbuy., I as a buyer will not buy any product from such rude seller.
2. The shipping fee and charges from seller is way too high , ridiculous and outrageous. The buyer takes all the risks and the seller does nothing. So I ask where does the buyer have any benefits..? Enriching and protecting sellers and disadvantaging the buyer,how does thst make any sense..? Cos in the end these sellers are able to do business cos buyers are willing to buy. I think its time bidorbuy do something about the ridiculous shipping and extra charges these greedy sellers are putting on their price.
3. Too many fake sellers and good sold on bidorbuy at outrageously High prices..lots of discrepancies on goods sold on bidorbuy against the advertised. It time bidorbuy does something about these crooks selling a different product against the products advertise.

“Since October 2020 to date. I mistakenly put money into bidorbuy account and my money was alocated to a thing called cashconverters. The same week i made the transection I requested a refund of my money. The so called buyer protection is not protecting 100% customer pocket. It only gave me very few funds from what i paid. No one is taking responsibility to pay back my money. Possibilities are you can get what you want as I sometimes get and also you can loose your money is i also did. “I have shopped on Bid or Buy, now Bob Shop for many years and bought some wonderful things and only dealt with lovely sellers. I recently purchased a ring from Trojan Jewels which was not what I anticipated in that it was too small. I asked if I could return the ring, at my cost to courier and in return offered to buy 4 x items on my watch list in exchange. Elena the owner flatly refused. When I expressed how disappointed I was, she replied don't be disappointed, she was sticking to the rules and paid Bid or Buy a fee. I would have even offered to pay the fee to recoup some of my money in exchange. At this point I gave up and called Bob Shop to complain, to be told there was nothing they could do. All I could do was rate the seller and that I was not happy. Sadly I will not be using this site again, due to one bad seller who actually would have made more money from me had she just been decent. Not only am I disappointed, I am shocked that people can even behave this way!”
