Walked in and was told I couldn’t look at the cars - I had to sit down with a sales person! Who buys a car without being able to peruse the range!! Dreadful

If I could I would give 0 stars. Avoid this company and don’t trust reviews on Trustpilot as they using customers data and write their own 5*reviews. And if you decide to go and buy a car from them anyway, be aware of hidden products which they won’t inform you about They are hidden in documents (which btw they won’t print out for you even if you ask) and they only pass you tablet to sign them. When we tried to read them the sales person always hold the tablet and just said oh this is just this and that and all the time hold the tablet so we couldn’t scroll through them. We only found out when we got home and printed all of them, just to find out that 1 of them we can’t cancel. Customer service 0 points, that would be for a long story - whole experience very bad. Also we saw the advertisement for our old car they are selling now and not everything what they say about it is true. So someone who will buy it will be disappointed.

Awful communication - have been trying for days to talk to someone with no joy. No customer service and have cancelled many of their customer service areas. Worst experience of car buying in decades.

Paid £600 for the bodywork protection. The info we were given said it excludes bumpers. Unfortunately reversed the car into a skip and there’s a 15 cm dent on the boot with 8cm of paint scratched off. Went to make the claim only to be told the policy doesn’t cover the boot, roof or bonnet! At no point during the sales process were we told this. 8 emails back and forth to customer service and all we get told from the girl is she can’t comment as she wasn’t there when we bought the car (SERIOUSLY!) and that she can’t call Car Protect as she’s not the policy holder. Why would I spend £600 on an insurance that only covers the sides of the car?? BMG acted as a broker, we took the policy out with them and we paid them the money. We’ve taken this to the Insurance Ombudsman. 🤬🤬

Appalling experience! We recently enquired about a car which was located over 4 hours from us and after discussing the car with a sales representative on the phone and being reassured by the 3 month warranty and the 200 point check we paid a non-refundable £99 for a 'move the car' service in order to view the car closer to home. We then drove over two hours each way for a pre-booked appointment to view the vehicle. When we arrived the car had not been cleaned, despite the 'Professional valet' promise online - and they'd had the car for several days - the seats were muddy and the windows dirty. The three month warranty turned out not to offer any reassurance whatsoever and didn't cover any major failure on leaving the forecourt, but it did offer a maximum claim of £500 with a £100 excess. We could however purchase a much better warranty for over £1000! We were also not told that the vehicle had advisories on a break disc and it had worn out tyres on the front. On a vehicle with 27K miles we didn't expect to have work completed as soon as we purchased. The sales representative, while perfectly friendly didn't know anything about the vehicle. Is it unrealistic to expect that you should be able to purchase and drive away a vehicle in good working order from this company, that does not need work (tyres and brake discs) to be carried out as soon as purchased? We left saying that we were still very interested and would still be keen to purchase the vehicle if the points raised were resolved. We have heard absolutely nothing. Very disappointing and would not recommend Big Motoring World.

Awful experience - avoid buying from this company. Utterly useless after sales and endless issues. Our fault was only rectified after a BMW main dealership came to the rescue and funded a new gear box. Spend your money at a trusted garage, not with Big Motoring World

28 days of incompetence and non existent “aftersales service”. No courtesy car, unanswered calls, no managers available ever. Awful experience with awful service, all smoke and mirrors, as for the big assist it’s a scam!. I can’t describe how disappointed I am with the Wimbledon branch, total disregard for customers once they have your money. Managers aren’t available and apparently aren’t at Wimbledon on a Friday!!? Dashcam missing from my car, apparently wasn’t one on the window? My fault for leaving it in!! . I hope this is just another oversight rather than another blatant lie, now a police matter. Needless to say won’t use again.

AVOID AVOID AVOID I cannot fault the buying process The issue is the after sales they are shockingly bad We bought the extended warranty and were told we could use any garage When the car went wrong two months after purchase we called to get help, The situation was urgent in that we had a mileage countdown as the adblu was malfunctioning Firstly we were then told that the policy had changed and that we now could not use any garage near to where we live, and that we had to take it to their Garage based in Maidstone, a good hour from where we live we were never told about this change to the policy Then we were told there was a waiting list of nearly 3 months When we challenged this, we were told we would get a call back which never happened. We called again and again we have still been ignored. We are now going to have take the car and pay for the work ourselves we feel we have been mis sold the warranty that is not fit for purpose

The worst decision I have made was to buy a car from this mob. £22.6k and then over £3k in repairs in less than 12 months, to which Big Motoring World contributed £600. 200 point check a scam! Warranties are worthless! After Sales a waste of time! Avoid these people at all costs!

Trustpilot reviews Thanks for your review! Big Motoring World - Leeds Add photo Your review is pending.Read more Rob Top 9 reviews GB Rated 1 out of 5 stars What an absolutely Vile policy!! What an absolutely Vile policy!! You cannot look around without an appointment and an escort, in the form of a PUSHY SALESMAN that will literally pressure you into taking a car from this terrible company! How dare they not let you look without the added pressure from a slimy salesman, no doubt on commission? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. They literally bribe you with an underhand, scummmm bag technique and we must NOT ACCEPT SUCH REPULSIVE BEHAVIOUR. Minus one stars. They made us, plus the visitors before us leave feeling confused and ANGRY because it's OBVIOUSLY a sly technique so that they have got you right where they want you. 🤢 I hope they go out of business.

Purchased car on 24th Jan 2024 from Leeds. Next day substantial oil leak starts. Phoned up after sales department and apparently this is ok and not an issue................ MOT a few weeks ago mentioned minor oil leak. Advised on a number of occasions that this had been fixed and would not pass their 200 point checks if still leaking. So either they lied and didn't fix it or this is a new leak and they do not care. Absolutely shocking service after spending £26,000. Legal advice taken and the made company aware of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and will look at court proceedings shortly. ***100% AVOID AND DO NOT TRUST IN ANY WAY***

Never buy a car from this company! Engine light came on before I even got home, they held the car for three weeks at the repair centre and came out with same faults. Sales team got my settlement figure wrong twice then the accounts team also calculated incorrectly. Tried to trick me into buying warranty with misleading information. Avoid this company at all costs! They do not take credit card because then you have no rights to refund! Read reviews first I wish I had!

AVOID AVOID AVOID Dealing with Big Motoring World has been one of the worst decisions of my life. Purchased a Jaguar F Pace vehicle for approximately £26K, via loan to accommodate my family. I took good care of my vehicle and maintained it under a Jaguar service plan. However, the car engine became faulty just shy of 1 year, without any warning! Jaguar have quoted £13K for a new engine, due to an underlying crankshaft and bearing issue. I contacted the warranty company, (also sold via Big Motoring World) and they have been equally useless and stressful. First the warranty company declined my case, until I appealed it and paid a private car assessor £360 who heavily contradicted their false claims. The warranty company then accepted my appeal, but only to pay £1000 towards the repair bill, despite informing me at the start that in extenuating circumstances they would pay for the FULL repairs. They then denied informing me that they would ever pay for the full repairs, and shadily declined to divulge call recordings stating so. I then proceeded back to Big Motoring World and they initially agreed to repair the vehicle at a repair centre- which left me absolutely elated. They asked for my details and warranty information and begun scheduling the repair at my nearest centre. However due to some twist of fate, at the last minute they retracted this decision, stating I should go back to the warranty company and they have completely left me in the lurch. Both Big Motoring World and Warranties 2000 have had a dire effect on my mental health and finances. I am currently paying a loan with interest but have no car, plus I cannot afford the 13K repair bill, and I am now left helpless. I am self-employed without an adequate vehicle to commute, my wife and kids have no vehicle for travel purposes, and I am struggling to take my family member suffering with cancer to medical appointments. Please do not be fooled in to buying from Big Motoring World, nor using their third party company- Warranties 2000, they are liars and crooks. Once they have your money they will offer little to no support in helping you, plus they have no compassion with their service and aftercare. Dealing with these companies has been the worst financial decision of my life. I am now having to proceed to the ombudsman and/or court, which will incur further stress and money. Do you honestly think it is fair that after a consumer pays £26K on a vehicle, that the engine should fail and be deemed unroadworthy within less than 1 year, without warning!?!

I purchased a C-Class ( 3 years old ) and they sold me the vehicle with only 54% battery so some of the electrics are not working even though they told me the vehicle passed a 200 point check so you would expect the car to be in excellent condition. This is not even the problem , the real issue is to try to get it sorted !! The sales agent that sold me this car told me that if anything happened to the car I could take it to any local garage as long as they are VAT registered… that was the first lie … I have now been told I need to take the car to one of their centres - the closest to me is in Snodland ( 50 min away ) but surprise ! They only open Monday to Wednesday ! And no appointments available until February . The service from the after sale team is shocking !! It takes them between 5-10 working days to reply emails, when you call them they can’t do anything for you as whatever you ask has to always be checked my another team and they do not understand my needs. I took an extended warranty with them and I strongly advise everyone to not take anything extra with them. I bought this car the first week of November 2023 , I escalated this issue two weeks after and I still have not had a solution. Never buying a car with them again
