Me and my pregnant wife visited big motoring world Leeds on a Wednesday evening after work. We arrived there at 6pm as we’d booked a “test drive” for 4 separate cars after thorough research. We were serious about buying a car and excited about our visit! We waited for 45 minutes to be seen, when we were greeted by a salesman named Immy. He showed zero interest in our situation and was unaware and unprepped for our 4 car test drives we had booked in. So we had to locate the cars for him on their portal taking 15 minutes time - completely unnecessary. He then left for another 10 minutes to locate the keys when we were FINALLY showed a car. The car was parked in a very tight narrow spot, he simply pointed out the vehicle to us and said “feel free to have a look around”. I said “we’d like to test drive this vehicle please” he responded with “we’re not a test drive centre, customers complain about the mileage” he then swiftly walked off leaving us outside unattended and unable to see inside the car - INCREDIBLE! I then walked back towards the reception to which I see him speaking with another customer. I complained to him to his face and he simply smiled and walked away - zero apology and accountability! Do not buy a car from this place - horrific customer service!

High pressure sales, incorrect information given. Felt overwhelmed and believed what we were told by sales man. It is a very effective production line with all the charm to sell. I feel railroaded. I wish I had walked away. Promise the world but the reality is something very different. I would not recommend and would never use again. Told 30 mins to pick up and like other 3 hours later before we could leave and by that time it is so late. I could go on but it is a catalogue of is truth.

Told me there 2 main keys to the car but when collected only 2. Told me to apply for finance so I could get a £500 discount. Was there for over 3 hours to sort even though I had told them I was paying cash. When i paid the £500 deposit and finally got home I had a call from a manager at 7pm telling me I couldn’t gave the finance because I wasn’t buying in a personally name. When i finally went to pick up car the weather was terrible and I had a 27 mile drive home only to find they hadn’t charged the battery like they said they had. There was only 9% charge on battery which was no way enough to get me home I had go back to them and wait another hour to get enough range to get me home. Nothing is ever their fault and always trying to sell additional products that were not wanted.

Avoid this business. I’ve bought several cars from this dealership over the years and always recommended them to friends and family because I believed they were a serious and trustworthy business. To be fair, the sales side this time was excellent. The salesperson was knowledgeable and professional, and the finance team were just as helpful. Up until I drove the car away, everything was exactly what I expected. Unfortunately, the problems started almost immediately after the sale. I bought the car on a Saturday about a month ago, and within the first weekend of driving it (Saturday and Sunday) I noticed serious rattling noises that feel like suspension issues. I contacted the dealership first thing on Monday, so this was within less than two days of having the car. They arranged a garage appointment. The first appointment was cancelled but, to be fair, they did notify me and rearranged it. However, the second appointment was also cancelled the day before and no one told me. I only discovered this after taking time out of my day and arriving at the garage, where I was told the booking had already been cancelled. When I contacted the dealership, they blamed the third party they use for bookings (AA) rather than taking responsibility. For over a week I received no response to my emails from the person handling the issue. I also called the dealership several times trying to speak to them but was repeatedly told they were “on another line.” The only reason I eventually spoke to them again was because I kept chasing the matter myself. During that call I asked how I could escalate the issue, but instead of providing contact details I was repeatedly told that a note would simply be added to my account saying I wanted to escalate the matter. At this point there is still no resolution and no new booking arranged. I’m left with a car that rattles badly and that I’m reluctant to drive in case it causes further damage. It’s a real shame because the sales team were excellent, but the after-sales service has been extremely poor. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise people to avoid this business if you expect proper support once the car has been sold.

Round trip of 350 miles from the North east to view a car less than 2 years old with 8800 miles. I had been asked to bring my part exchange car down before they could give a part exchange value. I was immediately asked if it had 2 keys by the salesman Kash. I told him it not only had 2 but, in fact, it had 3 as I had lost 1 & after I had bought another found the missing one. Eventually we found the car. The car was dirty inside and out and had scratches and chips. The carpets were dirty as was the boot. When we came to look into the car which Kash had opened, there were 3 keys in the middle console and he took away 2 sets of keys and said "I'll leave this one." We then had a test drive which amounted to a test drive around the block and he said this was all that was allowed. Anyway, after spending about 3 hours being upsold various overpriced "protection packages" and the virtues of finance, we eventually arrived at signing the purchase contract when we were told there was only one key. A quick google revealed that the cost of a new Audi key was £650 - £1000. I then said as they were not prepared to pay anything towards the cost, I would have another look at the car. They had already said they would not service the car which was due in one month. I'm pleased I did! The sun had now shifted onto the nearside which had a scratch running the length of the car which was visible in the sunlight. I was told the missing key was priced into the car even though no mention was made until I came to sign the contract.

Poor Service and Disappointing Aftercare I’m a returning customer and have previously recommended several friends who also bought their cars from Big Motoring World. Unfortunately, this experience has been very disappointing. Issues were reported straight after purchase, but the aftercare and support have not been helpful. The level of service I received this time does not match what I expected, especially after bringing repeat business to them. I wouldn’t recommend based on this experience.

Faults on car even though given a list with everything ticked as perfect, quick to take your money, I managed to escape after spending an hour being pressured into buying very expensive warranties, that I didn't want and told him I had no intention of purchasing. The drivers side wing mirror not working, drivers side windscreen wiper needs replacing, both keys low battery and worst one the break pads are grinding. Customer after sales are rubbish the cars don't go back to branch they are booked into their "approved" garages elsewhere, the chap I spoke to sounded half asleep, I am not impressed Call ref 640314).

The worst car dealership I ever dealt with! We had an appointment at the Enfield branch to see and test drive a specific car but we got kept waiting for over 25 minutes before a salesman came to us (despite seeing other customers who arrived after me being served first). His mannerism was quite far from polite and the first question he asked was if we wanted to buy the car. Only after a bit more in the conversation, the salesman said someone else just took the finance on the vehicle and it might not be available for us to test drive it. He left us by saying he had to check first and offered us some drinks that never arrived! He then came back and agreed to let us test drive the car, but when we got to it he told us we couldn’t test drive it as it needed to be jump started. Only later he came up saying we couldn’t test drive it because someone else took the finance on it! It was such a waste of our time as we wasted a total of an hour for nothing (without considering all the journey to get there)! It seemed we kept being told lies after lies! When later I asked to speak to the manager, I was introduced to another guy (5’6”, strawberry blonde, facial hair, glasses) who introduced himself by the name of Callum, but when later I requested the business card he wrote his name to be Joe and seemed that neither was his name and perhaps he wasn’t even the manager! His justification was poor and he demonstrated very little interest in our disappointment and inconvenience caused as he just tried to dismiss us. The whole experience seemed a joke! The customer service was the worst I ever experienced! An absolute waste of time!

The range rover was mis- sold to me. The vehicle had lots of damages, water entering from windscreen during heavy rains. Warranty not helpful. Regret having finance a car through this company. Not helpful staff at all and not recommended.

Dreadful company, Merc had endless issues, none of which their overpriced warranty covered, high pressure sales making you feel forced into the sale. Car cost over £3000 in repairs and off the road for a year 2 months after getting it. Anyone I have spoken to thinking of buying a car from them I have told them all their vehicles are ex lease or problem cars. Had to eventually sell the car at a huge loss. Never again…..

My son bought a car which was advertised for 29000 miles he paid 10k they tried boiler room pressure selling the warranty which he did not take, within 12 hrs of purchase found out the car actually had done around 35-40k miles which we informed them of followed all the rules under consumer act 2015 of rejecting the vehicle but they said it was clerical error and mileage on mot was recorded in KMs. We are still trying to get our money back and BMW refused to take car back or refund even though they broke all 3 sections under consumer rights act 2015. Misrepresentation, unfit for use and misleading advertising.

Went to the Cannock branch for a test drive. Mr. Harry was the sales advisor who attended us. He took my driving licence for photocopying in order to do a test drive. He should have returned my licence after that. But he didn’t and I asked him a couple of times whether he still has my licence; he replied yes, still didn’t return it. We left the premises soon after the test drive. I phoned the branch as soon as I realised he didn’t return the licence.but the person I spoke to couldn’t care less, Mr. Harry said he didn’t have the licence although I didn’t speak to him directly. I requested a call back from him, but never called. I rang them again twice this morning, but Harry isn’t in for the next two days; I have been told to call back on Saturday. I applied for a new licence with DVLA spending £20 as I couldn’t wait and needed to go to other showrooms for test drives. Really bad customer service, they didn’t take the matter seriously. I do not know if it’s the company’s policy to retain customers’ driving licence. It could be misused by someone. I really doubt he has misplaced my licence and wanted to cover it up

Terrible service from big motoring world and big assist. Big assist is an absolute con and I paid thousand of pounds for them to find a loophole in every way possible! Haven’t paid out on 2 faults we’ve had with our car. Difficult to get hold of and very slow at responding. Avoid at all cost

Not a good experience Took 3.25 hrs to purchase the vehicle. Like a piece of luggage on a conveyor belt, you are moved from one desk to another Desk 1, sales and test drive Desk 2, finance and payment, no movement on purchase price, apparently this is fixed also with a £300 admin fee bundled on. Desk 3 details and collection of vehicle Left sitting at each desk waiting on my own for 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Vehicle not serviced when collected and poor job on rushed valet. Low tyre pressure warning light on dashboard when collecting for test drive, advised by sales that it's just where the vehicle has been sitting about. Got the vehicle home and noticed a nail in the offside rear tyre. Contacted after sales via email, I was told to get a tyre report completed and pass on the details. Tyre report completed 6 days later at Kwik fit, all 4 tyres perished and an advisory given to replace all. Puncture to offside rear repaired and paid by myself whilst at Kwik fit £32. Sent all details including link to tyre report and invoice/receipt for puncture repair, to Lilly at Big motoring world as requested. Received an email back stating that the tyre report shows only as an advisory, so not covered in the after sales and no mention of the nail kindly received with the vehicle at no extra charge. Emailed Lilly again asking how the nail in the tyre is only an advisory and not a danger, unfortunately have had no reply. Purchased a vehicle for £27000, no full service given, poor valeting, empty tank of petrol and a free nail, which I didn't want. Definitely won't be going back to BIG MOTORING WORLD PETERBOROUGH. I forgot to add that you get a 3-month warranty with the option to take out an additional 12-month warranty at a cost of £1,895 on a 3-year-old vehicle, outrageous

Completely misled by Big Motoring World. When viewing my car, I raised concerns about the milage & was reassured by the sales advisor it had just had a major service. Shortly afterwards, whilst still on site, I was pushed to pay a £50 deposit to have the car removed from the website, the listing & service history was then unavailable to me. I wasn't then shown the service history again until the purchase was complete. It was only then that I discovered the vehicle has not had the major service I was told it had. Just a multi point inspection. They have refused to take responsibility and this is now with The Motor Ombudsman for investigation. BE AWARE - VERBAL ASSURANCES ARE LEGALLY PART OF THE SALES PROCESS. Don't let them lie to you and if they do - take it further!!
