Had a lucky escape today after visiting the Enfield branch to buy a car! Had a good look around the car before I met the salesman. NS Inner wheel arch cover was broken with some of it missing! Small rust patch by rear window. Advisory on MOT for a cut in the tyre! Car was a 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce on sale for £19900 plus some kind of RIP off admin charge! Proceeded to reception and was told to sit and wait for my salesman who arrived promptly. I told him I had looked around car and pointed out the obvious faults I had found. I also asked why I should pay a £300 admin charge when I was paying by debit card and they merely had to take my money and transfer ownership online and was told it covers the 200 point vehicle check etc! Well if it had been through a 200 point check it would not be up for sale with the obvious problems I found immediately! I did say I would still be prepared to take the car straight away and fix the problems myself pointing out I was a cash buyer with immediate funds to transfer but they would not even reduce the price by £200!! Luckily I did not pay a £99 holding deposit as I see from the many bad reviews it is almost impossible to get this refunded. The salesman got a manager who was adamant that despite the faults there would be no reduction in the price. I said to my wife it was time to go and we both walked out! We never even got to test drive the car and after reading the many bad reviews for this GREEDY! uncaring company I can now breathe a sigh of relief that I never became one of their victims! Had anything gone wrong after purchase it seems you are on your own and any warranty agreement add ons they try to force on you for a few £1000 with them is more useful as toilet paper! PLEASE READ BAD REVIEWS! Plenty of reputable places to buy a car from of which this is not one of them. We had a lucky escape due to their PURE GREED! and walked away. I would advise any prospective buyers to do the same or better still AVOID AT ALL COST! You have been warned. If you now buy a car from them you deserve every bit of the poor service and loss of your hard earned money you will receive. THEIR PURE GREED WILL BE THEIR DOWNFALL!!

I would recommend the Big Motoring World in Norwich to others. I was very impressed with the customer service I received from a very polite, patient and helpful staff by the name of Najibah. It is not very often that one gets good customer service from a sales person. Thanks Najibah for making the experience a positive one for me.

We paid £169 for advantage plus with MOT for life. This has been a total scam. We want a refund. Nobody is getting back to us. Do not trust this company.

I recently purchased a £30k car from Big Motoring World, and my experience has been a nightmare. When we first inspected the vehicle, the powered boot wouldn’t open properly. The sales rep fiddled with it, got it to work, and assured us it was working fine so we went ahead with the purchase. After all, we were also offered a warranty that seemed to cover any future issues, with no labour limit—perfect, right? We specifically asked about labour costs, knowing that BMW garages can be expensive. The salesman assured us the warranty would cover BMW dealership rates, as only they have the proper tools for the car’s complex electronics. Feeling confident, we bought the warranty too, thinking we were protected. The problems began as soon as we got home. Missing driver’s mat: Under the paper footwell covers, we discovered the driver's mat was completely missing. The cost to replace it with a matching BMW mat? £90. Boot still faulty: The boot continued to malfunction. We took the car to BMW for a software recall and asked them to inspect the boot. They confirmed it appeared to be an alignment issue—potentially the result of a prior impact but would need investigation. This was alarming, but it got worse: BMW also pointed out the rear bumper had been resprayed, suggesting the car had likely been involved in an accident Feeling misled and sold a damaged vehicle, I contacted Big Motoring World. I was told that: The warranty wouldn’t cover BMW repair costs, despite what I was told. I was advised to take the car to Kwik Fit or Halfords instead—local independents, not the BMW dealership we were assured was covered. My complaint was "logged," and someone would get back to me in a week or so. That’s right. After spending £30k on a car that appears to have been in an accident and sold under false pretenses, they’ve brushed me off to wait in line for more than a wee to 'hear back' To anyone considering Big Motoring World: don’t. They sold me a car with hidden accident damage. Misled me about the warranty coverage. Showed no urgency or care in resolving my complaint. You’re better off buying from a local garage that will actually speak to you after the sale rather than leaving you stuck in a long queue of complaints. Don't make the same mistake I did. Avoid Big Motoring World

I was scammed by their insurance. I paid £1,500 for 36 months, and when I had issues with my car, their referred garage charged me £1,055. They only covered £365, providing numerous excuses.

I bought a Toyota CHR from Enfield Branch. The tyre pressure indicator appeared on the dash board when I was driving the car from back home from BMW. Even after inflating the tyres the indicator did not go off. When I contacted BMW they wanted me to take the car to the nearest Halfords or Quick fit for a diagnostic test. Both Halfords and Quick fit did not want to do any thing with BMW. When I contacted BMW I was given a list of garages to contact. Only one mobile mechanic agreed to come and diagnose the problem . The others simply refused to do any thing with BMW. The mechanic said that the tyre pressure sensors have been damaged by BMW when they changed the tyres. It took more than 2 weeks for him to get payment for his diagnostic test from BMW and even then they did not pay him his full invoice . He has sent a estimate for the repair and BMW is not willing to pay the full amount. He is refusing to carry out the repair. I have been trying to get the car repaired by BMW for the last 4 weeks without any successes. The BMW does not respond to my emails and when we went to Enfield branch they s said that is a sales branch not dealing with after sales. I bought the car when I was about to start a new job in the NHS. My job involves visiting patients in their homes. The car has given me lat of stress in addition to settling down in my new job. BMW has the worst customer care of the organisations i have dealt with in my life. I would not even recommend even my worst enemy to go to BMW. The sweet talk they give disappears as soon as they collect the money . If there is a problem with the car they treat you as their enemy.

I purchased a vehicle on 17.08.24. On the 22.08.24 it broke down. The vehicle was covered by a 3 month warranty through Big Motoring Warranty (Big MW) They arranged a tow truck and asked me to take it to my local garage. I took the car to the only garage which accepted warranty work and had immediate availability to look at the car. The garage confirmed that the car needed a starter motor. BigMW offered to pay 40% of the total cost and said I should pay the rest myself. How can I be expected to pay out hundreds of pounds on repairing a car that I have owed for 5 days. They argued that the part can be bought on Europarts for a ridiculously cheap sum. I have investigated this fact and it is totally untrue. The cheapest part on Europarts was more than double the value they offered. I called and emailed their after sales team, who replied with an automated email saying I would hear from them in 5 working days. After 5 days and no response, I called again and the case was 'escalated' but still no response. Even their 200 point check is questionable. I was told upon leaving that the pressure on the tyres and just been checked as I left with the vehicle. On the way home the pressure light came up. I drove straight to Kwikfit for a tyre check and was told the tyres had been pumped up to 45psi, when they should be at 32psi!! I have owed the car now for a total of 16 days and it has only worked for 4 days! I have written to Big Motoring World again and stated that I want to reject the car under the Consumer Act 2015 and receive a full refund or I will have to consider issuing a claim in the small claims court. Still no response. Absolutely diabolical after sales service. Will never use this company again! If I could give them no stars - it would still be too many! They try to get you to fill in their online review before you have leave the showroom. This can be the only way I can imagine they have the current review figures they do, as issues are highlighted after you leave and they don't care about resolving them as they already have your review! Steer clear!

Worst First and Last experience with Big Motoring World. Poor customer services. They just keep on giving different numbers to contact on and no one has a answer. The 200 checkpoint reports are quite questionable actually. After 2 weeks of purchase the dealership has no idea as when the car will be ready for collection. The bigassist email provided is just a quack tool. Nobody reaponds on that

We couldn’t even view a car we saw on line without be asked to sit down with a sales guy. I bought a car from Available Car that used to be where they are and it was 100% better and no pressure. What’s happened to the place. I can understand with today’s issues that they want to know who’s walking around their lot but to have to hassled by a sales person to even view a car. Will never go there again.

Well where do I start. Was promised they would repair my car, 1st booking received a call saying sorry we have no courtesy cars which I explained I needed as I also have a job to go to. 2nd booking once again got cancelled due to excuse of they have no insurance cover for courtesy car. 3rd booking , oh yes we have received authorisation to repair your car from your platinum warranty cover , bring your car in on Tues 27th and we will repair it that day. To then receive a call to say can't do it as the part we have in stock is faulty , so we will order a new 1 and do it tomorrow meaning 28th , to then once again get a phone call saying we can't fix your car due to us not having correct tools to do the job with , and that it was risky of them damaging other parts an if they did they expected me to pay for the damage they could have done...REALLY you break it you pay for it , but oh no instead they then contact my warranty company asking them to pay for a part that's not even broken just incase they did break it. WHY OH WHY would anyone pay for something or even repair something that's not broken. FRAUDSTERS is what they are. And then for the so called Manager KEVIN ROBERT SHAW to come out of his little den acting like he was 10 men , hands in his pockets to start with , throwing attitude out at us , coming across very RUDE, THREATENING & AGGRESSIVE , I don't think so mate, get ready for Motoring trading standards , finance company , FCA and ombudsman to contact your so called business. Also try telling you they are no longer part of The Car Shop but yet selling cars with Car Shop Reg plates on , giving you numbers to ring for the Car Shop , but Shock no answer. I will not drop this here I will and am taking further action. PLEASE DONT LET THESE FRAUDSTERS FOOL YOU INTO BUYING A CAR FROM THEM.

Where to even start, their warranty app is nothing short of terrible, half the functions don't even work full stop like trying to upload a photo, and they straight up ignore your claims when you even report them. I was completely mis-sold a warranty by Big Motoring World as they lied about what it covers, made a claim not even 2 months after buying a vehicle just to be told the part isnt covered under warranty, the vehicle is at 43k miles and 4 years old and the part isnt supposed to need replacing until 60k miles or 10 years. Their salesman explicitly told us that this part was covered under warranty before buying which was a lie. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BIG MOTORING WORLD CAR OR WARRANTY, they sell cars with hidden issues which will come to light within a few months of you buying the vehicle and then you will end up forking out hundreds or thousands from your own pocket as they find a way to get out of anything that their warranty is supposed to cover. They will never provide you a copy of the 200 point checks that they claim they do on each vehicle because this would tell the real story about the true condition of the car before buying, they claim these checklists are only seen and used by the engineer and they dont keep copies, this is a complete lie however as they would be leagally required to keep documentation like this for around 7 years, i work for a main dealer myself and know this is the case. Scamming joke of a company STAY WELL AWAY.

I am writing this review to save others from the pain and frustration we are currently experiencing. We bought a used car yesterday. Although we did a test drive, it was completely dictated and controlled by the salesman, so we couldn't detect the issues with the car. The salesman, LEWIS OLIVIER, pressured us, and we felt rushed into making a decision. We trusted him, which turned out to be a huge mistake. Now, I am convinced they knew the car was faulty, which is why they tried to offer us so many "advantages" to make the purchase. My husband drove the car from the dealership to Milton Keynes (approximately 60 miles), and he noticed a significant lack of power. The car struggled to exceed 50 miles per hour. Shortly after, it began making a strange noise, and visible smoke was emitting from under the hood. We know our rights, and they should allow us to return the car, cancel the finance contract, and give us a refund. However, we are skeptical that they will do the right thing. We have tried to contact the dealership, but they are now referring us to after-sales, which is obviously closed on Sundays. They responded to our emails, stating that it will take four working days to get back to us. I have a feeling they are just trying to delay things until the 30-day period passes, leaving us with no choice but to keep the car. We are a family of four, with two little children and another on the way, as I am pregnant. This situation is causing us significant distress and anxiety. I feel helpless, so I would greatly appreciate any help or valuable advice.

I would also agree with all the negative feedback. We was forced to buy the warranty. We flat out said no to warranty after 10 minutes of going in circles sales man went and got a manager. My wife gave into the pressure and brought the warranty. The car came with faulty head unit so we followed the warranty process only to be told sorry it cost too much we going send this back to big motoring world so the warranty is useless. It's nearly a month on and we got nowhere. We provided everything 3 weeks ago, we get occasional email asking for same thing over and over. What's the issue? What's the proof? Where's the quote? Whats there number? All this information was send day after we brought the car but still keep asking same question. When we brought the car we was told it just has service which turn out to be lie, we was told the wipers just been changed again lie, wipers are rusty and we had to buy new ones. We was told the warranty was up to the value of the car, guess what lie again. Icing on the cake is you can't speak to the after sales service. You call they will "take a message" to fob you off, no one ever calls back. Nearly month on not 1 call back. Iv given them 14 days otherwise going through small claims court. Luckily I have family law firm who can advice us. This guys are not worth trusting.
