went in with a view to by a specific model car. salesman was useless, uninformed and apathetical. car wouldn't open other than drivers doors and had to figure out myself how to reset it to get the kids to try it. took for a 2 mile pootle on the normal roads and though it was ok. then the real lack of effort and care started. Pressure to spend 1k extra on warranty, then do the old "ill ask my manager for a reduction" then come back with pennies off and still rejected. Waited for ages for finance process, come to pay towards finance and "oh we don't accept credit cards" so scrambling to find debit card (because they know a credit card give you protection for defective goods but debit cards don't) finance team come out bark at you occasionally and wander off, no one explains anything and they literally abandon you waiting. after about 2.5 hours near stage to take car, kids have had to go home with mum as no end in sight. Sat waiting for staff to sort out collection and can see them on phones texting and laughing with customers sat beside them waiting, or flirting with sales staff. eventually get sorted with 2 mins before closing and they have the nerve to ask for you to give them a positive review. Get in car to drive out, security stop you and ask for a code, turns out the email/message you a code to get out but no one tells you that before hand so you have no idea what they are talking about, and with phone battery on 1% only just find it to be allowed to leave as told cant take car otherwise before phone dies. Drive 1 mile to motorway and get on and up to speed. after a couple of miles alarms are going off engine overheats and goes to limp mode. have to stop several times to try to cool it and try to get home which an 11 mile journey takes over an hour. Next morning the real fun begins. turns out they have staff for days to take your money but rejecting a defective not fit for purpose car, will take 5 days, and you can only email them as no one at branch or on a phone anywhere will do it. and you can only mail once, as if you chase it, it goes to the bottom of the pile (and they actually state this on the auto response!) You then spend hours on hold to speak to a team that will collect the unsafe un-drivable car back to them less than 12 hours after getting it. The collection company then says they cant take it as its not taxed (i taxed it before i left) so you have to then prove that you did before they will even arrange it, or you have to pay for the collection yourself upfront. Eventually sort out and the only good this is the local collection team are rapid and sort it, but these are not part of this firm. 3 days later get missed call from them but no one leaves voicemail, or follow up text. call them back and reception tell you it must be finance, but they're busy so wait for a call again. eventually call back and they ask me what i need from them and when you explain that someone called me they have no idea and palm you off to someone else that cant take a call so have to wait for another call. these guys are huge have 000s of cars but rebranded from Available Car. The staff are clueless and the epitome of stereo typical sales staff, just ram anything down anyone's throat and upsell warranties, cloth coverings and waxing for 000s. They act like cowboys and chancers to make it impossible to rectify issues. find a smaller family run independent dealer that works for your business not just plays at car dealing.

BEWARE THEY USE SECOND HAND PARTS ON WARRANTY CLAIMS Lets get the good points out of the way first, can,t fault the sales team. Sales staff were friendly and sale went smoothly. That's where it ends. After approx 5 months the engine management warning light came on. Rang the warranty team at Big Motoring World, took approx 40 mins to get through and was told that I had to pay for the diagnostics to be done and once that was done the garage had to submit the claim. I was told not to take it to a main dealer as they would not pay their costs. Was advised to take to Halfords or Kwik Fit but took it to my local garage who did the diagnostics and found the problem was a charcoal filter on the emissions system. He tried several times to get through to them but gave up so I said I would ring on his behalf. It took approx 40 mins to get through again. They would not deal with me insisting the garage called them with the quote. I explained he had tried several times hence my call still wouldn't deal with me. The eventually said he could email the quote through. A few days later he had not heard from them so emailed them again and I followed up with a calI and again ages to get through. They said they had not got the first email. They refused to pay the price for the part as they said they could get it cheaper and would only pay labour costs. The part arrived and it became clear why they could get it cheaper because it was a filthy second hand part stripped off another car. I rang for an explanation and after waiting ages to get through they said it was in the warranty that they could use refurbished parts. There's no way it was refurbished as there was still chopped off pipes attached to it. The mechanic was go smacked and said he had never come across this with warranties but fitted it anyway and now I wait to see how long it holds out. Bit peeved at having to pay for the diagnostics as clearly the fault fell under the warranty. Surely they should refund this as it was def faulty and they agreed it was covered. At one point after making several calls they suddenly decided they would not deal with me as my wife was the actual warranty holder. She had to contact them to tell them I could deal on her behalf. Big Motoring World had the audacity to say I should make the complaint and not to them when it was they who sold it to me and the app to make a claim is called ' Big Motoring World Warranty Assistance Division'. At no point when they sold it did they mention this. Please think twice about taking a warranty out with this company as they are a nightmare to deal with and use second hand parts

Avoid at all cost Reserved a car in Kent, 100+ mile drive away from us. Realised that we wouldn’t be able to travel to view within the three days limit so phoned and we were told they would cancel the reservation and we should rebook the reservation on Thursday which we did. On the Friday we received a phone call to say that “the system” would not allow us to reserve the same car twice and they would cancel the second reservation. After lengthy discussion when we were told we couldn’t speak to a manager the person speaking to us put the phone down. When we rang back a new person said that because of the confusion we could reserve it and we did that. When we arrived to view the car (three years old) it had no service history but he reassured us that “it wasn’t a legal requirement “. As it invalidated the manufacturer warranty we decided not to proceed. They had a similar car in stock so we decided to view that although it had only one key. The car looked as if it had never been cleaned, seats were stained and it smelled unpleasant. We left. Two weeks later we are still waiting for the return of our two deposits which they say was due to a “banking problem” I wouldn’t go anywhere near them.

Went to view a car at West Malling site car was presented to me to view in a disgusting state smelt of wet dog and cigarettes and had dog hair in all the carpets. I complained about the state of the car and was told it had just come in and hadn’t been valeted yet (lie) car had been on there site for at least 4 weeks . Then I was offered £1500 less then trade for my car but told I could get more if I excepted to take out extras like extended warranties etc . I walked out in disgust and went to another car dealership they offered me full px allowance plus£300 because my car was in exceptional condition for age with very low mileage against the same car for the same price but lower mileage and 6 months newer also no admin charge. No hassle about extras just sold me the car with 6 months warranty . Big motoring world in my opinion is just a flash looking old school dodgy car dealership that is run by crooks taking advantage of people . Avoid at all cost you will regret it if you buy a car from them .

Shame there isnt an option for 0 star review! The after sales team are rude! The warranty team are also rude! Bought a car outright from west malling December 2023 straight away after getting home the tyre pressure light comes on… check the tyres they have puncture repaired the tyre and not disclosed the information with us. Tried to make a complaint they didnt want to know but thought wed let it slide as it was only a tyre … we are now in july 2024 so 7 months of having the car the car goes into limp mode and the engine management light comes on. Once again report the fault and they say to take it to a local garage for diagnostic , done this and turns out its turbo failure. Not what u expect from a new car really is it! The garage asked where we bought the car from so we told them and they said under no circumstances will they ever touch a car from big motoring world due to the fact they DONT like paying out even though the car is under warranty. Rung 14 garages to try get the car seen as the snodland service again absolutely horrendous and staff so rude!! And every single garage rejecting us because the car is from big motoring world! We even rung the garages they sent us via email that they work with and they said that they dont work alongside them so unsure why they told us to call them! Anyway the car isnt even driveable I have a new born baby and have just spunked 14grand up the wall because a “ main dealership “ are nothing but a bunch of scammers how this place has not been shut down due to the lack of experience and rude staff is beyond me! Reading the reviews on here seems like no one has one good thing to say about them! I will be taking legal action against these bunch of con artists they havnt heard the last of me!

I would urge anyone thinking of taking out a Big Motoring World Warranty to think again. Near impossible to contact and deal with. Where do I start? First let’s get the positives out of the way. The car sales side I cannot fault, staff were friendly and the sale of the 1 year warranty seemed ok. That’s the good bit done. Less than 3 months after purchase the engine management warning light came on. I rang Big Motoring World Warranties ( took 40 mins to get through) and was told I had to get the diagnostics done and pay for it but I could not take it to a main dealer as they would not pay their costs. I was advised to use someone like Halfords or Kwik Fit but I took it to my local mechanic instead who ran the diagnostics and located the problem to a charcoal filter on the emissions system. As per their instructions he rang them with the quote for the part and labour but could not get through. He tried them several times so I said I would ring them on his behalf, again approx 40 mins to get through. When I eventually got through they would not take the quote off me and said the garage had to ring them. I explained the difficulties getting through to them and that he ran a busy garage but they said contact had to come from the garage. They said he could email it through. I rang my garage to see if he had heard anything but he hadn't so he emailed them again, I also rang them and they said they had only just got it that day. They replied saying they could not accept the quote as they could provide the part required cheaper and would only pay the fitting costs. The part arrived and the reason the warranty company could provide it cheaper became clear because it was a second hand part that the was in a filthy condition. It still had part of the old pipes attached where it had been cut off the previous car, so could not have been tested for reliability. I rang them for an explanation, another 40 mins to get through and all they said was it was in the warranty agreement and after asking about guarantees on the part they said that the part was only guaranteed for the length of the warranty. Bizarrely after the third or fourth call to them they suddenly decided they could not deal with me and could only deal with my wife who was the warranty holder and she had to contact them to allow me to deal on her behalf. Also why should you have to pay for the diagnostics? The car clearly had a problem which they accepted so surely diagnostics costs should be refunded once the car has been proved faulty and the fault is covered by the warranty.

Bought a car 2 weeks ago from them, Fri evening whilst travelling on M25, car malfunctioned and stated system failure and would not restart, then spent 2 hrs awaiting recovery, luckily was in slow lane so didn’t die! Branch don’t care, just palm you off to after sales where currently 32 in the queue. Sent an email rejecting the car under Consumer Rights Act as within 30 days and faulty, their auto reply states please don’t follow up as you will move to the end of the queue, the worst service ever!!! I wish I had read all the reviews of this shoddy place selling sub standard cars before purchasing, hope this stops someone else making the same mistake

If I could give a 0 score for this warranty I would unfortunately it only starts at 1 . Please be aware that the parts supplied by big motoring world are second hand from eBay and not even aftermarket parts . I was offed a fraction of the price of my repair that had been present since I bought the car (problems with air conditioning condenser) £151 out of a £670 repair or a second hand part from eBay They don't tell you any of this when purchasing this product. It's a massive scam avoid avoid avoid

My car gear box broke within five weeks of purchasing the car. It has now been off the road for four weeks whilst Big Motoring World and Warranty 2000 make every excuse known to avoid paying for the repair , around £2000. Please do not buy a car from these people. They are a bunch of criminals with now regard for anyone. The worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with

Awful awful awful. Bought a car for 15k, sales was half baked in the first place. A few weeks after I had it, the gearbox jammed, given it was so soon after purchase an issue like this is covered by the warranty and its part of the "peice of mind" you buy when you purchase a car from Big Motoring World (as the salesman said). The aftersales team at this company are what I can only describe as liars and crooks. They moved my car to a garage, who diagnosed the issue within 24hrs and issued the quote to big motoring world. 4 weeks later, no work has been authorised and I have been fobbed off with every excuse in the book about why it is taking so long. Even worse, apparently you're not even entitled to a courtesy car "at this point". At this point.... 4 WEEKS WITHOUT A VEHICLE CLEARLY ISN'T LONG ENOUGH. The garage waiting to do the repair have told me they have never experienced such incompetence in their history of trading. Do yourself a favour. Avoid this like the plague unless you enjoy pain, stress, endless frustration and debt!

DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM BIG MOTORING WORLD!!!! My Wife and I spent £28k on a Car and less than 2000 miles since purchase. The car has had engine failure due to a timing chain issue. We have had weeks without a family car email's backwards and forwards to Big Assist. They are not intrested in taking accountability for selling a faulty car. 200 point check is a farce After Sales a waste of time. Avoid this company at all costs, I would not recommend this company to anyone. The experience of purchasing the vehicle wasn't pleasant and wish we would of walked out of the showroom looking back now!!!

Do not buy- dishonest company/ safety concerns/ poor quality cars I absolutely do not recommend purchasing from big motoring world, do not waste your hard-earned money and risk getting caught in a back and forth with these people. 100% recommend buying elsewhere. This will be a long review but feel everyone should be fully aware of the type of company they are considering purchasing from and the quality of cars they offer. I bought a seat Ibiza from big motoring world in cannock on 29/06/24. I made a point of purchasing from a bigger dealership with the idea that it is less risky than buying private, they will be more trustworthy and that I would have a level of protection. Completely wrong. The week following the purchase was spent calling them every day with a different issue, I raised a complaint about the entire farce on 03/07/2024 for a manager call back and I am still waiting. 29/06/24 - The day of purchase - On the drive home from the dealership I noticed the clutch making a noise, I called the dealership as soon as I got home, only to be immediately fobbed off to the aftersales team - received a number and email. Sent email across straight away, and waited til Monday (01/07/24) to ring. 01/07/24 - rang about the clutch issue, that evening noticed that water runs off into the car through the window and that there was a rumble from the engine. 02/07/24 - rang about the water/ rumbling. The same evening I popped the bonnet to find that the bonnet support bar had not been secured and was just hanging loose hitting whatever was within its vicinity, also noticed that the coolant was already below minimum- checked the oil at this point to find that it was only just above minimum. Bought coolant and oil- topped everything up. 03/07/24 - called about bonnet support being loose/ coolant level being low - at this point assumed that the 150 point check they claim to carry out hadn’t been done fully. Raised a complaint about everything so far. That evening the car was groaning an awful lot when was getting in and out of it. 04/07/24 - rang about the groaning and informed them was taking it to the garage tomorrow (5th) for diagnostic report for warranty. Also chased manager callback re complaint. Throughout these calls the warranty team has advised that I have to have diagnostics even if I want to return. 05/07/24 - the coolant had dropped again. took it along to the garage who based on the conversation alone, advised I reject the car for a refund. I called citizens advice bureau who also advised me that I am well within my rights to reject the car without having a diagnostic report as long as I can prove there is fault with the car. I sent photos of the low coolant levels (both times)- with it dropping so fast it indicates there is a leak somewhere. The photos were sent along with official request for full refund as is my right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. 08/07/2024 (Today) - I received a missed call but they did not bother to leave a voice message or send an email to follow up the call when I did not answer, however I had received another email ‘summarising’ my issues so far and again mentioning a diagnostic report? When I returned the call I was advised that they couldn’t put me through to anyone because the aftersales department doesn’t have a number. But that he will send an email to the team requesting a call back. Yet more of my time wasted. Followed this up with a number of emails today, including additional photos of the water issue, to support my short-term right to reject. Still not received a call from aftersales either about my refund or the complaint I have raised. Also, they have repeatedly minimised the seriousness of the carelessness of not securing the bonnet arm support to simply ‘the support was making a noise because it was loose’. No, the support was making a noise because it was hitting off things within the engine compartment, when I opened it whilst stationary it was touching the belt area. The rumble seems to have stopped ever since I secured the bonnet support. Not only has it possibly caused damage but it could quite easily have ended up breaking free and getting jammed in one of the engine components. To minimise it to just being a noise is ridiculous and shows a complete lack of care. Also I have had a couple of different advisors ask for a photo of the mileage when actually it is irrelevant as I’m still within the first 30 days of purchase, and requested my refund within the first 7. The mileage should only be factored in if it’s beyond 6 months of purchase and they want to deduct usage from the full refund amount. Again, all confirmed by citizens advice bureau. The following is an indication of their transparency and morality. Their sales technique is very much a case of trying to badger you into taking add ons, was repeatedly hounded to consider finance (extra money), to take the extended warranty (extra money) - but this was to the point the sales agent brought the manager out to also try sell it? I wonder why they were pushing so hard? (Unwanted) Finance options always presented without the total repayable shown. Also when selling the warranty they repeatedly state that the car would have to go down to Kent under the standard warranty but if you pay for extended warranty then there is a workshop over the road - a tactic to get you to spend because who wants to have to send the car down to Kent? But during this whole process it’s become apparent that you can take it to a local garage (as long as it’s vat registered) and organise getting repairs done there without having to send it down to Kent, I have also been offered their own Cannock garage as an option - I would not trust them to be honest with their reports at all, their own garage is bound to produce a favourable report. Also selling the smart car protection/ repair package. I pointed out a scratch and asked if that’s something they would address before I took the car and was told that the price reflects this, but then was also told I could always take out the Smart Cover and then give them a call couple days later to get the scratch sorted. So I should pay out to take additional cover and then make fraudulent claims because you as a dealership don’t do the basics of sorting out scratches like most others do? Should’ve realised at this point that they’re below standard and not to be dealt with. Also being pressured into making a decision on the spot because ‘as soon as you leave the forecourt you release the car’ despite having paid a reservation fee, and if I hadn’t gone into the dealership that day my reservation would’ve still been valid for I think atleast another day? They have completely ruined what should be an enjoyable experience, having to try manage this around my nursing job has been beyond stressful, and their go- to is ‘we can only apologise for the inconvenience’. I am now having to wait for this whole process to finalise before I can start looking for a better quality car from a trustworthy company. I hope for this matter to come to a close and for my funds to be returned to me asap, as this whole situation is causing undue stress and inconvenience and is impacting my mental and physical health. I strongly urge you to save yourself the stress and buy a car elsewhere. The company is misleading, dishonest and offers poor quality. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Worse place ever. We went to Leeds today and the attitude in the sales guy was horrific. He was grumpy, rude, didn’t explain himself literally no ounce of effort at all. I walked off in the end and left my husband with me as my patience had completely run out for his incompetence and foul attitude! Literally no customer connection or conversation at all, would of been better off asking the cars there specification etc…

I've recently bought a car from this company and am generally pleased with it, however, some stuff you should know: 1. Don't be in a rush. My cash purchase was very straightforward - part exchanging my old car - but the whole process took in excess of 4 hours. The sales room was practically deserted, so God knows how long it must take at a weekend when it's crazy busy. 2. I was quoted a price for my part-exchange beforehand on the phone and when it came down to the nitty gritty, a reduction of £2,000 was offered. My part-ex (5 years old) was immaculate and there was nothing wrong with it mechanically, 1 owner from new, FSH etc. but I was told that they had to respray every panel that had a stone chip, no matter how minor. The resprays are done on site by their own employees. 3. Hard sell on the very expensive GardX external/internal waterproofing system which comes with a bag of products to keep the treatment relevant, except my new car did not have one and subsequently obtaining what should have been in with the car in the first place turned out to be difficult. Incidentally, I quibbled the original price and obtained a discount but there are still much cheaper products out there that do the same and can be bought independently. 4. The extended warranty doesn't cover 'wear and tear', but is worth having. Again, it's expensive but then so is a replacement engine if it goes bang. The standard 3 month warranty that very car comes with is almost not worth the paper it's written on. 5. Staff I dealt with were very friendly and helpful, but then they want you to buy their vehicles. Also, there was a hard push for a personal review to be submitted by a couple of people. It's clear that they are rewarded for good reviews. 6. ALWAYS read the small print. The sales people do try to rush you through this bit. Being cynical....!

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS - SOMETHINGS IS NOT RIGHT So I was at the showroom to buy a car for my nephew when the car i was looking for just happened to be parked outside with someone looking at it. Asked the sales guy standing around about the car and lucky for me the guy looking at the guy did not buy. I decided to take it for a test drive and it drove like it should. Place was immaculate but something seemed off about this dealer. 1) My nephew too his car for a drive and wasn't happy with the car but what shocked me was after the test drive and when we returned to forecourt was the was the young sales guy drove the car back to park it. Like boy racer in a carpark. 2) Going back to the car I drove, well the sales car brought me some totals with warranty and GardX figures and they seem higher than expected. They would not let me take the printed totals yet they let me take a picture of it. Seemed petty ?? 3) was in a rush so I left. decided to phone the warranty line as they had given me literature and waited 30 mins before they answered. seemed excessively long. 4) Decided to call big motoring world regarding the car even after the slating of negative reviews as the car did drive fine. Explained that I wanted to get AA to come and inspect the car fully at my cost to give it the all car as I worked out a 3 year old car didn't need warranty hence saving £3k. Big motoring wanted a £500.00 non refundable deposit for my mechanic to look at the car and if car was fine they WOULD NOT refund me my money. what a bunch of cowboys as every other dealer i have spoken to welcomed my own mechanic inspecting the vehicle without a deposit. Must state my mechanic would have been a full AA inspection at my cost. I promptly decided not to buy anything from these guys as the ONLY reason anyone would put so many conditions for someone giving you MONEY to buy a car, is if you are knowingly selling cars that have issues.

DO NOT BUY you are treated like royalty on purchase and then when something goes wrong they don’t want to know. 6 days in from purchasing BMW 7 and brake change required. Cost £572. Won’t pay under warranty for the repair as wear and tear - 6 days in!!!! 6 weeks and still no nearer to being resolved. Have been offered £180 towards cost of repair. Still fighting with them now daily and calls at 20 mins on hold times toing and froing from dept to dept. Warranty is not worth the paper is written on Requested to give car back and said no as it’s been over 30 days. Yes - due to their incompetence!
