I have had no end of problems with this company, it's been absolutely awful - they are quite literally the worst company I have ever had to deal with! I bought a Discover Sport from the Enfield branch back in July. The price was agreed on the phone, however when I went to collect it they told me they had nothing written down and increased the price. In their words, "you either pay the full amount we're asking for, or you're not having the car". Stupidly, I paid it. On collection, I was told the Service record and spare key were both missing, and these would be sent by post within the next week. They never arrived. 2 months later, an engine fault was identified on the car and my local mechanic advised me to get it resolved under warranty as the car was in a “dangerous state of repair”. I tried calling, emailing and leaving messages to arrange repair through the warranty, but literally could not get through to anyone. It took 12 days before I was able to speak to someone! I asked for a courtesy car, and was told they didn't have any for me. They then arranged for the car to be collected, the earliest they could collect it was another 9 days later. Then they didn't show up. I called again and discovered they had forgotten to give the collection company my address (the collection company had been trying to call them but weren't able to get through - the irony!). They came the next day and took the car, and they assessed it the next day as well, acknowledging that the fault should have been caught in their "200 point checks" and agreeing that the repair would be completed under warranty. They then informed me that the earliest they could make the repair was in another 3 weeks time. I asked again if I could have a courtesy car, and they said they still didn't have any. A week before the car was due to be repaired, I was offered a courtesy car, but told I could only have it if i went to Peterborough to collect it, roughly 80 miles from my house, and I don't have a car at this point so no way of getting there. I had no choice but to decline it. On the day after the car was due to be repaired, I had heard nothing (no call, no email, no feedback of any kind) and so I called for an update. On starting the repair, they had realised they needed more parts and so could not complete the repair as agreed. The extra parts needed were now on order, but there was no delivery date and so they were unable to give me a repair date for the vehicle. Despite numerous attempts to get an update from them, I eventually began requesting a refund for the car so I could buy another one. After a lot of back and forth, they eventually agreed to a partial refund and despite me losing a lot more money, I accepted. It then took another two weeks to process the refund, again with just a few updates from the company and absolutely no urgency to get the process complete. From the day the car stopped working, to the day I received the refund payment took 2 months, 3 weeks and 2 days. This entire experience has cost me so much, not just financially, but from stress and anxiety as well, I have been really ill. The complete lack of empathy from any of the staff, the ignoring emails, messages, not answering the phone, hanging up on me while on hold, the list is endless. I’m so glad I can start to put this behind me and get on with my life, and I hope I can spare at least one person from having to go through a similar ordeal.

So did I. I just bought an Audi A6 from big motoring world just month ago and noticed some mechanical faults outright after purchase. Despite several email correspondence and fone conversation they have not practically done anything to repair. They also refused Audi diagnostic centre report of issues. So Im definitely going to refuse and return this back and claim refund ASAP under right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act if the car is unfit for purpose, of unsatisfactory quality or not as described. You can ask for a repair or replacement, but you're not obliged to accept one and can insist on a full refund, which the dealer will be legally obliged to give.

Don't be penny wise and pound foolish . The Nightmare began when I reserved the 2015 Volvo XC90 ( FM15 NFZ ) online by paying £99 and then went to the enfield branch to see the car and paid another £401 to make it £ 500 as a confirm purchase , Car had NO DASH BOARD WARNING LIGHTS , after hours of hard sell of extended warranty , paint protection and gap insurence from them I managed to get away and close the deal with just the gap insurence . I was suppose to pay and collect the car within same week but when I read some of the online reviews I decided to hire a 3rd party pre purchase vehicle inspection company to inspect the car before I make the remaining payment . Guess what ? the inspection report came that the car has more than 4 serious faults and 2 minor faults that will effect the engine and transmision that can cause major safety hazards anytime . These faults will cost at least £ 2000 to fix from volvo dealership . 1. TCM-P06066B Control Module Processor. Algorithm Based Failures. Event information . DIESEL ENG (Fuel System/Combined System) 5 problems exist 2 . DIESEL ENG-PO34192 Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 1 Or Single Sensor). Component Failures. Performance Or Incorrect Operation 3 . ECM-P227900 intake Air System Leak General Failure Information. No Sub Type Information 4.ECM-PO34400 Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Intermittent (Bank 1 Or Single Sensor) General Failure Information No Sub Type Information 5 .A DIESEL ENG-P133078 Injector Control Pressure Lower Than Desired (Engine Car also had a big tear on the leather of the dashboard , driver side which was never mentioned or shown anywhere in the advert . inspection mechanic was shocked to see that too . I sent an Email to big motoring to get those issues fixed so I can come and collect the car asap . After many calls and conversation with Sales , reception and finance someone decided to call me back today to inform that their CEO ( Harry wormwood from Matilda ) have decided to not to fix any issue on that car as it is an old and put it up for sale on website again immdiatly to sell to someone else WITH FAULTS as it is . They said they have refunded my £ 500 deposit but I feel cheated upon as if they had not listed the car for sale with faults then I could have bought a car without wasting my hard earned £ 160 , saving me from the the nightmare, hassle I had to go through in the process , his response was that it was a courtesy call to inform me and I can go on website and reserve the same car again . Not to my surprise they have already re listed the Volvo XC90 FM15NFZ again with faults to make some else POUND FOOLISH .. If they have any courtesy they should 1st refund me the £ 160 too and then fix all those issues before selling it to some one else . Date of experience: 09 February 2023

Dubious practices. Beware. Found the spec of the Jaguar XF I wanted at Big Motoring World. Problem #1: Phoned them to check the availability of the car, "yes it was still available, did I want to reserve it for a £99 Refundable Deposit". The deposit was not refundable, but transferable to another car! I only found this out after receiving the text message upon arriving at the facility at Bluebell Hill, which I did not have time to read until the next day. I consider this underhand dealing. #2 Drove 102 miles to view the car. Met with a Salesperson that would be better flipping burgers at MdDs. Almost rude, but definitely disrespectful: "it only has one key, is that a deal breaker?"....before I had even seen the car I had spent 1.5hrs driving to see. "oh, most of our cars only have one key". They cost about £500 to buy a new one. #3. They get the car, and I see that it is an ex' lease car that has been unloved and knocked about, a Jaguar dealership would not have even listed the car as it was in such poor condition. "Oh, is that a deal breaker? It wont look any better after you have test driven it!" #4. Test drive: you are directed around a loop that has a 40mph speed limit and about 2 miles long, not enough to properly test the car, during that time I noted the steering wheel was not centered, "oh, the car comes with a 90 day warranty"...... I can tell you that it would not cover that sort of fault. #5. They promote the cars are sold at a bargain price, this car was below standard, but was at the correct price for a GOOD car. The price is non negotiable once you point out the deficiencies in the car. My experience would stop me from buying a car at this outfit. Looking at the Google reviews it is easy to see that the reviews are bogus: who would photograph the outside of the dealership, or the reception on their "outstanding review".

BUYER BEWARE... DO NOT TRUST... TERRIBLE AFTERSALES SERVICE... FAKE 200-POINT INSPECTION!! I purchased a Mercedes GLC from Big Motoring World on 11th September 2022. Within two weeks of owning the car a low-pressure tyre sensor light appeared. Nervous I was driving a car with a faulty tyre; I took the car to a tyre garage for inspection. I was informed that the tyre had a temporary repair, was not in road worthy condition and should have been replaced prior to me purchasing the vehicle. They informed me that this kind of repair should only be done in emergency situations and in fact is an illegal repair here the UK. If I was to be pulled over by the police, I may have been liable for points and a fine. I was informed that it need replacing immediately at a replacement cost of £250. After a stressful attempt to contact Big Motoring World aftersales teams (Their phones lines just cut dead, or no one can put you through to the right team) I was told to email. I bought a car from Big Motoring World with faith that they had carried out a 200-point inspection as they advertise so that issues like this would not occur. It was apparent that an inspection on this vehicle had not been carried out as promised and when requesting the report for the vehicle they sent me their standard template checklist. After sending lengthy emails Big Motoring World have offered me a ‘goodwill’ partial settlement amount to towards the replacement and informed I should not of instructed a third party to replace without their prior consent. I unfortunately had no choice as the tyre was in an illegal condition. Unable to come to an agreement with Big Motoring World, they have left me no choice but to take legal action against them.

TERRIBLE COMPANY Couldn't thought the enfield branch only ones who have tried to help. Had complaint going on for months now and I have been the only one doing all the chasing, I had purchased a car in may 2022 on A PCP plan and part ex my previous car which needed to be SETTLED then 2 months later advised I was in arrears with my previous car?? then called finance company close brothers and big motoring world they wouldn't look into the issue kept being told "Your get a call back" weeks later made a formal complaint wouldn't listen to me a girl called SOPHIE HAZEL from Kent branch kept on ignoring all my emails, then went to branch to manager she then contacted her to call me and didn't still. My credit rating had been affected for months was denied credit and my score has always been excellent. Also false advertisement about their ombudsmen details on the website its actually a energy company. Still to this day they are not helping me. Customer service skills are shocking and vile. I will look forward to taking this legal.

Subject: Urgent Warning: Unethical and Misleading Practices of Big Motoring World I am writing to you with a sense of urgency to share my recent experience with Big Motoring World, as I feel it is my responsibility to warn others about their unethical and misleading practices. On Sunday, October 29th, my partner and I purchased a car from Big Motoring World, trusting the salesperson's assurance that the vehicle was in perfect condition and adhered to BMW standards. However, within a day of driving the car, warning lights started appearing and parts from the undercarriage started falling off while we were on the motorway. In our moment of distress, we immediately contacted the Big Assist helpline, only to be cut off repeatedly. After making numerous calls, we finally received a call back, but were told that they were unable to assist us. Stranded nearly an hour away from home, we had to temporarily fix the undercarriage ourselves using tape and drove the car to the nearest BMW dealership. To our dismay, we discovered that the car's warranty was invalid due to unauthorized modifications, which had not been disclosed to us by the salesperson. Moreover, these modifications also rendered our insurance coverage inadequate. This is a clear case of fraud, as we relied on the salesperson's assurance that the car had not been modified. Further investigation at a reputable garage confirmed our suspicions. The car had indeed been modified with non-BMW standard parts, and it exhibited damage to the front bumper, which had been poorly repaired with filler. In our pursuit of a resolution, we sent multiple emails with supporting reports and photos to Big Assist. However, their response was disheartening - they outright refused to refund our money. According to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we have the right to a full refund in such circumstances, as the car is not fit for purpose and we have been misled. Nevertheless, Big Assist has reiterated their refusal to provide a refund in their most recent email to us today. This ordeal has left us deeply disappointed and frustrated with the company's lack of empathy and responsibility towards its customers. I implore you, to not consider utilizing the services of Big Motoring World. Their unethical practices, misleading claims, and lack of accountability make them an unreliable and untrustworthy company. I sincerely hope that by sharing my experience, I can save others from the distress and financial burden we have endured.

If I could currently give 0 stars I would. I earlier left a review about the sales team and gave them 5 stars. That still stands and they were lovely. HOWEVER, avoid this company like the plague. Within 2 weeks my car needs £1000 worth of fixes. The battery is failing and working at 28%, the car is not running correctly. All brake pads and discs are worn down the manufacture minimum standards. This car would currently fail its MOT. This goes against the Consumer Rights Act 2005, as the car is not satisfactory, or sold is described with their “200 point check”. All of these issues should have meant it didn’t pass. They have either lied, or are incompetent. Currently no one will get back to me about whether they will fund these necessary repairs and it looks like I will end up having to pay them myself. With what, I don’t know. It’s an absolute disgrace. It also appears like I am not the only one when you look through their Twitter/Facebook replies and comments. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

Below is my review of them from 5 weeks ago, at this present time I'm filing an application for court action, that probably tells you everything you need to know really. Terrible from start to finish. Car is 50/50, no fuel in and needed detailing throughout, heated seats don't work, bonnet won't open, warranty won't cover it despite owning car 2 days. But their service is the worst I've ever seen. I reserved the car and transferred it to Werrington, drove 3.5 hours to see car, they unreserved it, adjusted the price whilst I was traveling. Was on hold 30 mins trying to sort it out. Got there, they had sent the car to the wrong dealership, (Fengate). Was redirected there. When I got there I had to sit and wait to see the car I'd enquired about multiple times. They knew I was coming and still waited 45 mins. There service is non existent, would never recommend this place to anyone. Spending over 20k and service is ridiculous. Add to the experience, tried to increase the price that I had in writing. Then tried the usual trick of trying to sell me stuff I could need at a massive inflated price. GAP ins of 450+ when online quotes are 150. I've bought 20+ cars over the years and this is hands down the worse experience at a dealership I've ever had. Worse than Arnold Clark and they actually lost the car I was buying for 2 days. Warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on, not going to cover the repair cost. Will be taking legal advice on it. Had I known it was going to be like this I would have U turned and went back home. Toom nearly 3.5 hours to buy a car I had already reserved!!! So slow it's actually taken less time to drive 210miles 5 weeks on the service history and spare key only arrived after 4 weeks and me reporting a theft to police.

I would give it a 0 if I could. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I purchased my car 10 days ago and have seen damages on my car after 1/2 days that was very well hidden from me. They took my car to wash after signing an agreement without asking me if I wanted one, and they clearly touched up the chips so it looks presentable on the viewing, and it must have come off during the wash. They also done a brilliant job trying to hide a massive crack on the plastic near the ignition (by the driving wheel) which looks absolutely disgusting and definitely not worth the money I paid. They are ignoring my emails and they keep telling me the manager does not deal with this matter, its the 'after sales' team, which they are never available. I still do not have my agreement with big motoring world, only my finance. BIGGEST SCAMMERS. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS AS I DID AND NOW IM IN THE SAME POSITION!!!!!!!

A very dangerous company. To be avoided at all costs. They appear to take very little care of the cars they buy in and the after care is extremely slippery. If I worked for that company I would be ashamed.

NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN!!! Couple of months ago bought a car from Warrington branch, throughout the whole process the customer service was absolutely disgusting, in fact so bad that makes you feel humiliated. For the 3 days which took me to actually finish the deal I was constantly made to wait for hours together with all the other customers experiencing the same thing. When I test drove the car, it showed problems with the seatbelts and the bonnet which means all the checks they say they have done on the car is a lie so don't count on that. After they assured me the car has been fixed I still have issues with the seat belts. While buying the car I also purchased a 3 year warranty which is an absolute SCAM, because I've already spoken to 6 garages and they all refuse to deal with the warranty company, because apparently they never pay them. The reason I needed to use the warranty was because after driving the car for a couple of days realised that the lumbar support on the drivers seat isn't working and it's very uncomfortable. So after being refused by all the garages to deal with the warranty company I had to pay for the fix myself and email bigassist what happen and claim my money back which they refused straight away. And now I realise I just lost 2000£ on ussless warranty.

Keep far away from this unreliable company! I had a horrible experience with Big Motoring World Enfield branch. I purchased a vehicle few weeks ago. As soon as I got in the vehicle I had a engine light on the dashboard before I moved the vehicle so I headed back to collection department and explained them what I saw, they said nothing to worry as It might happen as the vehicle hadn’t been driven long time and they removed the warning and they let me take the vehicle. Next day engine light came up again so I went back to branch and told them again warning still there, they said that they would fix it but my vehicle had to stay two days in their garage. After two days nothing fixed and now they are telling me that they can do nothing, if I want my vehicle get fixed I need to sort this with their head office. In a short term they are throwing me off after selling a faulty vehicle, it has been two weeks so nce I purchased still couldn’t drive it, no kindly approach, and they are asking me why I took the vehicle when I saw engine light. It means They are blaming me as I trusted them. Now my advice to anyone who are planning to buy vehicle from them is never to trust them, get the vehicle checked by reliable mechanic before purchase a vehicle from them.

Firstly I would like to start with the fact that when you purchase a car through this dealers they offer you a voucher to review them then and there, I imagine this is because most reviews will be positive it’s not until things go wrong that you realise how poor they actually are! I have had an absolutely shocking experience! I purchased an Audi A1, before I had even left the dealership a fault light appeared, it was taken to their on sight “mechanic” 3 times and each time I was sent away being told the issue had been fixed. On the third time the dealership had closed so I could not return but I was assured if the light came on again once I had left that it would be fixed. The car also had a light shake to it when stationary and as the days went on this become worse. I then spent a week phoning and emailing with minimal response, I was constantly told someone would call me back and they never would! I eventually took the car to be diagnosed to an Audi specialist as I couldn’t wait any longer, the diagnostics detected 7 faults throughout the vehicle one of which was an engine fault!! I finally spoke to someone from aftersales and sent them the proof of my private diagnostics, they informed me that they would have to diagnose the car themselves in order to provide me with any sort of refund. Initially I was told they would only repair the car but I did not trust for one second that this would be done to a good enough standard considering the shocking service I had received up until this point. The car was eventually returned and I have received a refund, since purchasing with them numerous people I have spoken to have had very similar experiences. They claim to carry out a 200 point inspection but somehow managed to miss 7 faults!! It makes me feel bad that someone else is probably going to purchase the vehicle and the likelihood that the faults have been repaired are slim. I would honestly avoid ever purchasing a car from this dealers and I regret not listening to the reviews myself.

Terrible company, sold me a car with faults without disclosing before then refused to help when I contacted them within the 3 month warranty and even accused me of causing the faults. Heard many people said they had been sold faulty cars and refused help. Obvious scammers

I bought my car from here less than a month ago, 4 years old with 30,000 miles on the clock, fast forward 3 weeks my car won’t start. Big motoring worlds after sales team don’t work on the weekend which is very funny when they have a full team of pre sale employees who do ready take your money. I called up to be told my car can’t be fixed by them until 4 weeks time end of December which is an outrage because unless you’re privileged enough to have a second car isn’t possible at all. I need my car for work which they came back to and said you can get this done by a local garage. Luckily Halfords were able to help which came to 300 quid. I have 3 month warranty on this car which I got told repeatedly is a (gesture of good will from these money grabbers) but what’s my £200 admin fee for then? The sales rep done nothing for getting my car! This dirty company offered to give me £128 for my repairs which was a sensory issue nothing from my end. For a job that cost 300 quid al because it had to be done from a different garage. I wouldn’t need to if I didn’t have to wait 4 weeks to get my car fixed for your issue!. Now who expects having a car for less than a month you’d have to spend an extra 180 on repairing it. Honestly anyone looking for a new car do not come to this place they are so happy to take your money but when it comes to paying and being fair they lack none of it. Tell me honestly how you don’t have a after sales team on the weekend m. It’s such poor customer service you money grabbers. I’m happy for you to reply because I can carry on for hours big motoring world I’ve provided my plate for you to know exactly who I am. Anyone who has any questions please ask I’m more than happy to tell you why this is horrific

Worst After Sale experience You can imagine: AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN. If you bought a car without any problems with it. Their sales team and service is good. But if you have issues with your car and you report it back to them as per their warranty for the sold cars. That's when problem starts. 5/1/2024 Bought a BMW 7 Series 6/1/2024 Reported few issues but two of them were main problems (Navigation won't work) and (Front Grills shutters were stuck open in freezing cold) 25/04/2024 --- Nothing has been repaired as yet They try to avoid paying for the repairs and delay it so much that customers end up paying themselves for the repairs. BMW Sytner Chigwell provide a quote for £2600 for the repairs. They refuse to pay and now trying to find a cheaper garage in the area to avoid the costs. See attached files with full details including the emails from them date wise. I WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO MAKE MONEY CLAIM AGAINST THEM FOR - CAR REPAIRS - DAMAGES FOR WASTING MY TIME - COURT AND OTHER LEGAL FEES

£13,000 RIP OFF by Big Motoring World!!!! If you are considering buying a car from Big Motoring World Group, think again. My 74 year old mother recently purchased a used 2017 Ford Mondeo 1.5 Eco boost from the Peterbourough branch. The experience started very poorly, where the salesman pressurised my mother into buying a £1200+ warranty that apparently covered tyre wear & other wear & tear items. After carefully checking the policy, it provided no such cover, & after being lied to by the salesman, & asking for a refund due to being totally misold the policy, eventually they refunded that portion of the money. However, after less than two months, the car has developed a major fault, losing coolant which has been inspected ( by Big Motoring Worlds request) at an independant garage. It has been confirmed as a cracked block, which subsequently turns out to be a common fault on the 1.5 ecoboost engine. Since then, Big Motoring World have been presented with the diagnosis. We have requested a rejection of the vehicle, but they have declined & asked to verify the fault themselves. The car at the moment is unroadworthy & unable to be driven. They are refusing to supply a courtesey or replacement car, and have given a date of May 7th 2024 to inspect the car themselves. This is totally unacceptable, & leaves my mother with no vehicle for 3 weeks at a minimum, with no doubt months of slippery wrangling afterwards. They are deliberately pushing the time frame to get it out of the warranty window! My mother is very distressed & stressed, has no transport, no resolution, Big Motoring World are impossible to contact & are refusing to answer any form of communication & have defrauded my mother of £13,000!! Please share this in the hope that someone at Big Motoring World sees this & has a concience. Big Motoring World are Fraudulent, Untrustworthy & Unresponsive.
