"Title: Charged Despite Free Cancellation \u2013 Booking.com & Hotel Both to Blame!\r\n\r\nI canceled my reservation before the free cancellation deadline, yet I was still charged. When I contacted the hotel (Hampton Inn, Dade City), they claimed that Booking.com never informed them of the cancellation and that they don\u2019t even allow free cancellations.\r\n\r\nHowever, their Booking.com page clearly states \u201cfree cancellation\u201d, so they should have honored it. Both Booking.com and the hotel are responsible for this issue, yet neither is taking accountability. Instead, I\u2019ve been stuck in an endless loop of excuses and delays when trying to get my refund. Terrible experience\u2014beware before booking!\r\n\r\nI have attached the free cancellation email they sent me."

"Slechte service en geen verantwoordelijkheid\r\n\r\nIk had een reservering via Booking.com en wilde mijn datum wijzigen. Zowel het hotel als Booking.com wezen naar elkaar en niemand nam verantwoordelijkheid. Ondanks dat ik bewijs had (met screenshots) dat er op de nieuwe datum nog beschikbaarheid was, werd mijn verzoek geweigerd.\r\n\r\nEen dag later was die beschikbaarheid ineens verdwenen van de site van Booking.com. Dit voelt als misleiding en gebrek aan klantvriendelijkheid. Ik ben van het kastje naar de muur gestuurd zonder enige oplossing, terwijl ik al betaald had.\r\n\r\nHeel teleurstellend! Ik raad anderen aan goed op te letten bij het boeken hier, vooral als je plannen onverwachts wijzigen. Service zoals deze hoort niet thuis in de hospitality-sector."

"Never Trust Booking.com \u2013 They Can Cancel Your Booking Anytime!\r\n\r\nI booked a hotel 20 days in advance and made full payment through Booking.com. When I arrived at the hotel with my family, I was shocked to learn at the reception that my booking had been canceled.\r\n\r\nThe hotel staff informed me that the cancellation came directly from Booking.com. When I contacted Booking.com's customer service, all they could say was, \"Sorry, we can't do anything. We will refund your payment.\"\r\n\r\nThis left my family and me stranded. It took over five stressful hours of searching to finally find alternative accommodation.\r\n\r\nThis experience was incredibly disappointing, and I cannot recommend Booking.com after this ordeal. If you're planning a trip, think twice before relying on their platform \u2013 your booking might not be as secure as you think!"

"I am extremely disgusted with how booking.com will handle issues. I booked an apartment (VESTA - Nile View Residence) in Cairo, Egypt via Booking.com website. Based on the reviews it seemed to be a nice location. When we went to check-in, it was a complete dump. I was in an almost abandoned building, with a very unsafe lift to get to the 10th floor, and the corridor was dirty, abandoned, with old broken sewage pipes etc. It was a horror house. I immediately got out of the place and booked a hotel for much more!. I informed the property owner and was told that they do not have anything to do with the building, but only with the apartment !!. When I contacted booking.com, they took several days and got back and said that I have to contact the property owner !!. I have sent pictures as proof as well. At this moment, I am still to get a refund which is due to me as its services not provided. Extremely poor service when it comes to issues !!"
