Instructed as conveyancers through a third party, their service was good but I was disappointed that my final bill was 25% more than originally quoted even though I asked several times, via email, if there would be extra charges. They refunded about 1/2 the price on complaining but it wasn't the full amount and it's a shame I had to complain..I guess most people wouldn't bother and so they get away with it.

I looked at the good reviews and thought I would get a good service with BPL. Over 12 weeks into using BPL for sale and purchase and still haven't even received a fixtures and fitting form. Communication poor and buyers solicitors and estate agents having issues contacting solicitor. Email responses not replied to either. Fear that the lack of communication and ongoing delays for a chain free purchase and sale will lose our sale.

Everything was going well bu there seems to be a breakdown in communication between BPL and the buyers solicitor and despite sending 3 emails requesting updates none have been forthcoming. I also understand the estate agent has also had the same problems . This is simply not good enough

Bill is not answering emails or providing updates along the way. We only managed to get through his assistant which gave us vague answers. We have been told that we will have all searches sent a week ago and nothing has happened since. We never know where we stand in the process and always have to chase them to get any information at all. Overall, very bad communication and lack of care for the customer .

Way too slow to deal with paperwork and incoming information. This should be a very straight forward sale - empty house, no chain, standard construction, relatively few issues - but it's being turned into a marathon. We bought our current home just over a year ago and that did have complications, but it was completed in 8 weeks. As I have a relative who works in Land Registry I know that the problems don't lie there in terms of lack of speed. On the plus side emails are SOMETIMES dealt with quickly, but it really is 50-50. I've been ringing for nearly an hour today and it just goes through to an answerphone. I've no doubt as to the proficiency and capability of the staff involved at BP Law. I do, however, think it's massively under manned and that profits are being placed above customer confidence and satisfaction.

This is the second time I've used BPL as my first house purchase was a positive experience. Unfortunately this time I have been very disappointed. The communication is terrible, husbands left multiple messages with no one returning his calls. When we have chased for updates we have been made to feel like we are a pain, even been patronised and made out like we don't know what we're on about - very unprofessional. As a customer paying a lot of money I dont expect to have to chase them up to ensure they are doing their job. Then today it's come to light that our buyers solicitor have sent them the queries on the sale 7 days ago and no one had even acknowledged it, clearly been sat in someone's inbox/on a desk someone and ultimately delaying what should be a quick turnaround due to no chains. Very disappointed as such good previous service 3 years ago.
