Some things took a little longer than expected, however with everything considered they did a very good job and were always happy to help. Highly recommend.

FTB buying a leasehold is probably never easy for the buyers or the solicitors, but they helped make it happen within a reasonable time-frame and generally kept us updated with prompt replies to our queries.

Started off poorly by no e mail response and no answering calls which was very frustrating. After complaining to the conveyance manager, there was a marked improvement all round. Communication is fundamentally important in this situation!

I used iConvey who referred me to BPL solicitors. I can see there is a varied level of satisfaction on reviews, however from my experience I am happy with the service I received. I decided to use this company mainly due to the price as it was around £500 cheaper than other solicitors, but I knew this would mean I'd have to do a lot of the reading of documents and understanding them myself. This was fine as I do like to get properly involved in things. I do feel as though there was a couple of occasions where my case was put to the side as certain things were not processed for a while after they received them and because of this the last couple of weeks were a bit of a mad rush, however after being ignored for the couple of weeks prior to that they did really push my case through - this did take a bit of nagging on my side but from what I've heard this is standard with most solicitors. It took around 9-10 weeks after receiving the draft contract from the sellers to exchange, and we completed the next working day. Emma Bevan was my solicitor and in the later half of the conveyancing process I did hear from Emma quite often (prior to this I was mainly in contact with her assistant Paige). Emma was prompt to reply to my emails and calls and to also keep me up to date. My mortgage advisor also complimented how good Emma was with keeping him up to date with the process - he said he deals with a lot of solicitors and most wouldn't make the effort to keep him up to date with each stage, so he was impressed too. I have now completed my purchase and am currently awaiting the land registry to complete - we are purchasing an unregistered property and even this hasn't seem to cause any issues so overall I am pleased and feel this company have offered value for money and saved me a considerable amount.

Caron Abbot was absolutely amazing .Took over a complicated transaction from a useless michael coward whom never communicated with me & took days to reply to an email .Caron was a breath of fresh air - she called the day she was given the case (michael never called once)She was always on hand was quick to reply to messages & made my life easy .She's simply amazing & for her i would use this company again .Oh just to give eveyone a heads up the reason caron took over my case was because michael the coward left his roll so nobody reading this has to worry about using him .....Thanks again Caron ; )

"Went with BPL because they were considerably cheaper than any other services. (Apart that is from one other provider but this seemed to have consistently terrible reviews where as BPL had a range from bad to excellent). Was using them for a sale. Was dealt with by Cherry's team. Noticed that Cherry was a conveyancer rather than a solicitor think the name is a bit of marketing tool but wasn't too concerned about using a conveyancer. As expected never actually got to speak to Cherry on the phone but there was always her assistant available on the phone (but often had to ring a few times to get through to her as she was on another call - although could have left a message but preferred to keep trying). Was keen for our side to be not slowing any thing down. At first BPL ask you to fill in various forms was a bit shocked that although many of these forms could be filled in online there was no save option - so as the forms are so long and you won't have all the info to hand this is very difficult. Asked BPL for paper forms but they would not provide them so ended up taking lots of screens shots of the forms printing those out and then filled them in and then submitting forms online when had all the info. So BPL please work on a save function!! Another thing that was annoying at start is that you are requiring to get id info certified but BPL insist this has to be done by a financial institution (but they do allow the post office). This just means there is an extra expense (£10 or so)as all financial instutions will charge. Where as say for our passports we could get vicars,school teachers etc to do it for free. Also the BPL freepost service takes about two weeks to deliver stuff if it arrives at all. My advice is send all stuff recorded and allow for the cost. Once we had got all the stuff to Cherry is seemed fairly efficient this being send to the other side and there questions being raised and passed back to us. I did feel it was wise to keep checking things had arrived and keep asking what the next steps were and when they would be done but as mentioned could always get through on phone and Cherry's assistant Georgina was always very polite so this was not an issue. I think BPL do very much have a system and any requests outside the system will either have an extra charge (listed on the extra charge sheet) or be very difficult to be met (eg wasn't possible to be send paper copies of forms, Find out how long our chain was through the solicitors). We did incur an extra £100 charge for completion and exchange within 5 days. This is in the sheet of extra charges but thought that two weeks was standard. But when our chain suddenly all wanted to do it in three days didn't think it would be wise to say no . So factor the possibility of this charge in as well. But overall glad BPL existed and they got the job done. They are much cheaper and as long as you understand they obviously have a system and are dealing with lots of transactions they seem fine for straight forward sales at least. "

Being on the end of the phone and replying to e:mails promptly. They went the extra mile to try and get our 1st purchase to exchange of contracts, but the vendor's solicitor was appalling (Premier Property lawyers - DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU WANT TO SELL OR PURCHASE A PROPERTY) and we pulled out. Our second attempt at a purchase and our sale went smoothIy and I would recommend BPL to anyone.

The conveyancing team at BPL worked hard to assist me through a difficult sale and purchase that was beset with problems. It will not suit everyone doing everything on line. However, notwithstanding that, i found the company very straight forward to deal with and the team were very good at keeping me in the loop

I found the team under Annemarie very helpful and courteous i.e. Steph and Emma were always helpful and responsive. We managed to complete on the planned target date which was not helped by a slow vendor and traditional solicitor. It was a pleasure to deal with BPL and I would recommend them to others. The timetable was driven by the need to avoid the increase in stamp duty and hence a lot of personal effort was needed to move the process along. At no point did I get the impression that my repeated calls were unwelcome and I appreciate the efforts they made. Well done and thanks to BPL! Mike Jervis

Very good service generally .. all emails answered, in effect, by return.. Only slight down, on occasions the process slowed down and I emailed to find out why .. would have been better had I been informed before I need to query . Would have no hesitation using BPL again
