“Radio cabs was friendly and polite when booking via call and the wait was quick and the driver was friendly and chatty. I would use Radio cabs again.”
“Cheaper than Uber from Shoreham train st to Amberley train station. turned up on time after 5 mins polite driver lovely controller Graham would recommend”
“Absolutely awful service, doesn’t matter how many phone calls you make to make sure the driver is on time, they just do not care and the operators in the call centre are rude and couldn’t care less!
Kept giving them the benefit of doubt but there is no way I will use them again!”
“Asked for an accessible car and was told it'd be £3.00 more because I had a walking frame, so effectively they're charging people for being disabled, it doesn't seem fair, it's not my fault I'm disabled. So found a different company for my holiday who didn't discriminate.”
“Booked a taxi via phone with this company for Brighton 10km, to take me from a residential address to the seafront (start of the race). I was told I would get a text when the driver was on their way - I didn’t get one. I got a phone call a few minutes after my booked time, I answered and was cut off. I called back and was told my driver was “5-10 minutes away”. I called in 10 mins when a taxi hadn’t yet arrived, to be told - “oh - well I can book you another taxi”, I asked but wasn’t told where my original taxi had gone! That is very poor service, because obviously I had an event to get to on time, and had left myself a lot of time to get there - but they couldn’t say whether my taxi had just picked up someone else instead or broken down or anything, just that they would book me another one. How would I know that one wouldn’t also pick someone else up?
I said how long would it be - I was told “about 15 minutes” - but I couldn’t trust that was true and if I waited and it didn’t turn up, I would arrive at the start too late. So had to walk 45 minutes to the start, very disappointed and will never use again, and I recommend others to not bother booking with them.
Yes it was Brighton marathon weekend and yes there would be expected delays (hence why I gave myself a lot of time to get there) - but the fact that the operator implied my booking had just been cancelled without my knowledge (as he said “oh I’ll book another one for you then”) means that I don’t have trust in them - not what I needed on such a big event day. I would’ve been fine if they had said it will be delayed by 20 minutes, as long as they were honeys and actually told me what was going on and not telling me my taxi had disappeared and a new one needed to be booed if I wanted it.
Perhaps it was one absolutely terrible taxi operator, who caused unnecessary stress (for me and possibly the driver, depending on what they were being told) - because the one who booked the taxi for me the day before was helpful - but I can’t trust them at all now.”
“Disgusting customer service. Rude woman answering the phone and shouting at me which should be the other way around. Poor service. Will never ever use them again 😡”
“The driver was super good. Very jovial caring person who knows his job well. It's such a shame that I gad a bad experience with the reception person, of which you can read the full draft of my bad experience with the reception person.”
“Phoned from supermarket. Expected a wait due to hot weather so mentally prepared for that. They said they were sending a taxi 10 min later I phoned because I did not get a confirmation email. The operator said he was sending a taxi now. I texted 5 min later to say I had not received a confirmation email. No reply so phoned again. The operator said the taxi was 4 minutes away. Waited 7 minutes and phoned back and a different operator said they were busy and had not yet found a car to send I asked why they lied and said it was 4 minutes away. I asked why they couldn’t just tell me the truth from the start so I could make other arrangements. Then the phone cut off. They are often unreliable, but today was awful.. no apology or acknowledgment that they lied. Very poor.”
“I booked a car to pick 4 adults up from Gatwick, we had quite a lot of luggage, so I was very clear that I needed a large car to take the four of us plus all the bags. They sent a small estate car. We managed to squeeze in and had a very uncomfortable drive back to Brighton. The driver was (sort of) sorry, but then went on to say it was a 4 person car, what was the problem! Really, I had my knees around my chin sitting in the middle in the back, everyone else was piled up with luggage. It was joke, and needless to say we won't be using them for anymore airport jobs.”
