"The refurbished Steelcase Amia is a tremendous value.\r\n\r\nThe video reviews of the comfort of the seat pad and back rest are accurate. Both the seat and the back rest are extremely comfortable for sitting in for long periods of time. The back rest has shifted my posture to a more ergonomic and healthy position. The back rest's lumbar support is effective. I do feel it and it helps my back. This is the first experience I've ever had with a chair with lumbar, so I can't compare it to the Steelcase Leap or any other chair. My only complaint is that the adjustable lumbar support will on occasion slide down lower on my back. It's not difficult to readjust it, so it hasn't been an issue for me. I don't know if this is a common problem that rests in Steelcase's design or in BTOD's refurbishing--or if this is an issue with my chair only. \r\n\r\nThe back rest recline tilt function is good. It isn't as smooth as other chairs that I've owned, but it works and supports me well since I like to recline back in my chair a lot. The tension adjustment functions quite well.\r\n\r\nI got BTOD's standard fabric covering for the seat and back rest. The fabric is comfortable and feels very durable. The indigo color is vivid. However, the fabric retains some body heat, so if you really want the ventilation of mesh, you'll need to look at another chair.\r\n\r\nThe arm rests are amazing. Extremely adjustable, so I can really dial exactly where I need the pads to be to support my elbows. I got the BTOD replacement arm pads, and they are very nice. Just the right amount of firmness and grip. The covering causes no discomfort with my skin, and my elbows are in no danger of slipping off the pads. \r\n\r\nThe frame, seat base, and the cylinder are all excellent. I am confident that I will get 12 years or even more from this chair.\r\n\r\nI got BTOD's roller blade wheels, and honestly, they work TOO well. It is incredibly easy to move the chair on these wheels. I often place too much effort in pushing the chair, and it will really roll around, regardless of the surface, smooth tile or carpet. I'm not really complaining, but if you are considering the BTOD wheels, be aware these wheels are legitimate.\r\n\r\nOverall, I feel I have gotten a $1000+ chair for half the price. I have a great warranty from a company that appears to stand behind their products and refurbishing process.\r\n\r\nI have attached a photo so all can see what my old chair, \"Ol' Scrappy,\" was like. Needless to say, I'm quite pleased with my upgrade."

“This is a great chair. Love the skate rollers! There remains a great deal of confusion over what is a lean back versus a tiltable seat. This does NOT have a tiltable seat. The lean back can be set to where you are comfortable. I like that. However, the extra thick seat cushion with extra one inch of padding, is not even thick, much less extra thick. I'm a large muscular man, and this chair fits me fine except for the seat cushioning. Had to buy a loose cushion to put on the seat, otherwise inadequate.”

“Excellent everything. Ordered a refurb chair for my wife (which is immaculate) and in the comments of the order mentioned we wouldn’t be home for a couple of weeks. Asked if they could delay shipping, but if it slipped through the cracks it wasn’t a big deal. I got a personalized email from customer service asking for some specifics. “Holes aren’t pre-drilled or pre-planned, so higher possibility of user error when building. I ended up with an extra part I didn’t end up using because of this, because I already placed the other parts without anticipating room for it. Support wasn’t really helpful when I emailed.”

“Extremely comfortable. That might be the most important metric to review an office chair. However, I also paid extra for the new black vinyl upholstery, which immediately started showing wear-and-tear (stretch marks) after two months of use. I know these chairs are restored chairs, not brand new chairs. But the covers are brand new. And I'm discouraged that I spent this much money (almost $800) on a product that looks like it's aging at 3x speed. If I were to recommend these chairs again, I would NOT recommend the black vinyl.”

“AWESOME Chair and AMAZING Company!!! Start to finish and even after delivery, AMAZING experience and company!!! First off, the refurbished Steelcase Leap V2 chair is AWESOME!!! You don't realize the difference between a real good office chair and a cheap generic office chair until you actually sit in one. Wow, what a difference and the actual support is night and day. My old office chair offered absolutely NO back support. I can't even look at my old chair. BTOD is a superb company to work with and their customer service is exemplary to say the least. You can shop with confidence and know that they will take care of you, even after you receive your chair.”
