“This site is a scam
Having had my return flight final leg cancelled by the airline and having had them send me a note apologising and confirming I was entitled to a refund, I have tried to get in touch with this company but its impossible
They refuse to answer my emails, they don't pick up the phone, they are effectively thieves”
“When I went to the airport, I discovered that they were fraudsters. The airline told me they had canceled my reservation. I contacted them a lot to retrieve my money and so far there is no reply.”
“Booked A flight Bristol to Zagreb Via Brussels. The Bristol to Brussels leg of the journey has been cancelled - I found out about this myself not from Budget air - who on there website still have the full journey, but the airline only have me down for Brussels to Zagreb.
They are now uncontactable - won't answer the phone and E-mails are ignored.
The airline can't do anything as I (stupidly) didn't book direct. Why do Skyscanner use this company, they are appalling.”

I have never had to write a bad review…
I have never had to write a bad review about any company until I used budget air.
I booked a return flight from Phuket to Kl. First of all I had to chase them up to issue the outbound flight. Then they issued no return flight ticket but assured me all was ok including on booking saying I could check in. I arrived at airport for return flight and was told company not followed through on booking. I then tried calling emergency contact number with no answer. I was told by airline I could not fly unless I paid 400 pounds for the return flight. I had to book return through a different company. To date I have written to them asking for refund for the return flight but they do no reply to any emails and not answer phone.
Now trying to pursue through credit card company.
I advise all to stay clear of this company”
“Awful.....dreadful.....only used them once and won’t use them ever again. I booked a return flight to Paris, was promptly informed that the return flight was no longer available and that I would receive a refund. Which I did.....but only for the return flight, not the outgoing. What use is a flight to Paris without one to come back? I have said without the return leg I don’t want the outgoing but I have had no responses to any of the emails I have sent. Terrible customer service. They might be a good option when booking flights.....but only if there are no problems and you don’t need their customer service.”
“Worst Flight Booking service i have ever used in my life. Please stay away from them and save your money and time. Terrible and i dont know how their business is still running”
“DO NOT USE - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I booked a flight approximately six months ago with Budget Air, the airline they used was Jet Airways. With the issues Jet Airways are having, they have been emailing me for the last few weeks with cancellation and rescheduling changes. I have been attempting to contact Budget Air for over two weeks, I have called their customer service number every day, at least four times, and been on hold for over 20 minutes each time. I have sent seven emails, to receive one reply with a different customer service number, which again got no response.
Finally today someone answered, to confirm yes the flight was cancelled, and they would contact me at some point within 24 hours to discuss if I'm entitled to a refund. My response was not particularly kind!!! Why would I not be entitled to a refund when they have booked my flight with a company cancelling most of it's flights for the last month!!!!
I am now waiting to see if I will receive a refund, whilst hoping the prices don't go up more for my flight in a week!!!
USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOR COMMUNICATION - AVOID”
“Absolutely horrific experience - if there was a negative number, would happily change it from 1 to -100. Had to change flight due to sickness. Provided with incorrect phone numbers, unreachable through emails and when they did eventually respond it was from some call centre in India with no understanding of the situation and the number in the UK - they don't even bother responding! Ticket totally wasted. Do not bother with this site. Go to the trusted ones like Expedia or Opodo. Now they know how to do their job. Learnt my lesson!”
“Are flights to Bangkok got cancelled 20 days before we were due to fly out when we were trying to rearrange new flights or get are money back for are old ones they were not helpful they Couldn’t help us get news ones or have the money back in time to book new flights and we have lost the money for a 4 weeks worth of accommodation.”
“There aren't even words that are low enough to describe the experience I've had with this company. I literally had to go directly to the airline and although I had to purchase a brand new ticket I was willing to do that than deal one more second with this absolute waste of a company. I know the name is budget air but the customer service is really below budget”
“My name is correct as per the passenger detail with their portal. but it was error in my ticket. This is because if am changing the name on my ticket there is a payment for that. so they purposely changed my name in ticket to collect the extra money from me.”
“Budgetair.co.uk is rubbish. Boolshit. Don’t ever book again. I booked the ticket and got confirmation about the ticket and deducted money from the bank. And after 6 hours i have got an email that your ticket has been cancelled. And when i talked to the customer service, thay were lying with me that u will receive a ticket within 1 hour. But i got cancelled ticket email instead of e ticket.”
“Read my review before you book with Budget Air OR Thomas Cook
Dissatisfied is an understatement with this excuse of a website they should change their name to fudge-it air.com.
I booked two tickets to travel to Morocco with my wife, unfortunately just before we were due to travel a close member of our family passed away which was totally unexpected. We cancelled our arrangements immediately. We contacted this waste of time of an organisation who advertised the flights for Thomas Cook and informed them we were unable to travel and requested a refund of the taxes we had paid which we are entitled to they confirmed they will issues the refund (the request was put forward on 22nd January 2019, today is the 20th February) to date we have not received any refunds from Thomas Cook or Budget Air.
HERE COMES THE INETRESTING BIT!!
The refund for the taxes amount to £86.40p, to date I have spent £70+ chasing this refund. All the calls you make to this “organisation” are charged, you may ask yourself “should have sent an email”, well we sent a number of emails and we have received 1 response from them claiming they are looking into it.
I should have called Thomas Cook to complain right? WRONG
Thomas Cook are not interested in this instead the lady I spoke to informed me I should have booked directly with them, what kind of nonsense is that. If that’s the case stop advertising with these shabby websites.
It has now become a matter of principle, the refund amount was not a huge amount considering what we paid, however the way they have come about the after service has led me to write this review.
Read your own reviews about Thomas Cook they also have a 1 star rating on Trustpilot.
Budget Air reviews are questionable to say the very least, read the reviews, look at the profiles of the “people” leaving these reviews and make what you want of this.
I will clarify the call charges are from Budget Air not Thomas Cook.
I will continue to update this review.”
“Beware!!! Avoid at all costs
After 1 year of attempt to recover money for flights that budget air never booked I am still waiting. Phone number given doesn’t exist. Emails unanswered and no further ahead. Any contact I have is met with false promises of a call back or email
They take your money and run. Avoid at all costs!!!”
“What an absolute shambles this firm is! Nearly ruined our New York trip. A simple name change (Dave to David), that should have taken a few minutes once Budget Air had notified British Airways of the need to change nearly turned into a full cancellation and re-booking simply because their "procedures" took time. As it was, had they managed to initiate the change, they would have charged me over £100 for doing so (where is the justification there too?).
British Airways said there was no excuse for the delay in doing this and that they would make the change as soon as Budget Air requested it. They never did. We ended up turning up at the airport on the day, going to the British Airways desk and within 15 minutes and at no charge, the job was done. Thank you British Airways - great service.
Budget Air you have no idea the stress you cause your unfortunate victims just because you are greedy b******s who couldn't organise a p*** up in a brewery! 6 phone calls to your firm in one day, including 3 to your emergency telephone number, none of which were answered and all simply dropped out after 20 minutes on each occasion indicating the type of customer service you offer to your customers. I can honestly say that this has to have been one of the worst travel booking experiences I have ever had in my life. Needless to say, you won't be getting my business again nor anyone else's if they read this and have any sense.
You don't deserve to be in business and to be honest, you shouldn't be - hiding behind a Dutch company registration so you don't have to belong to a customer protection body such as ABTA, as you would if you were based in the UK. Rip-off. Stay clear. Never again!”
“Wouldn't recommend this web site
Got our tickets booked at a cost of £950/- but had an emergency and needed a change of date for the return leg. Sent an email with the details, got a revert with a message that the admin fee+airline fee would be £200 & the seat change cost would be additional which they would only inform me once i call them.
Rang em up and the lady i spoke to was not really interested in what i had to say, she kept me waiting for like 10 min and then informs me that the seat change cost would be £1020/-
I was surprised since the cost online for a one-way fare for 2 was only £750/- i wanted to decline but the lady rudely slammed the phone down!
Out of curiosity i called up the airline directly on their customer service number and to my surprise they offered to change if FREE OF COST.
LESSON LEARNT- Call the airline directly for any changes”
