Absolutely awful, difficult to navigate the website but when we arrived at our hotel they wouldn’t honour the voucher.This was a gift bought by our daughter.Every time we try to spend the vouchers we have problems.This is the third time. I would never buy one of these as a gift gotanyone. It ids virtually impossible to get a response from their customer service dept on the phone

Bought 2 vouchers, each for 2 people and tried to book on the same date, at the same spa. When I was booking the first voucher, it said 15 slots available on the required date. The spa also confirmed it has availability as I was the only person with a booking, but buyagift won’t let me use both vouchers on the same date, at the same spa. Contacted their live chat, waited about an hour to be advised the 2nd voucher had been booked for me & then she told me that she’d checked it but mistakenly booked the wrong spa venue 4 hours away, she cut me off & emailed me to say she’s cancelled it, then explained there was no availability on the date in 7 months time, even though the spa could book me directly. No call back or offer of refund for voucher I can’t now use on the required date, my only resolution is to pay the spa directly to book it and waste more time with buyagift trying to get a refund of one of the vouchers.

Was given a voucher in 2020 as a gift. Unable to use due to pandemic. Once experiences were available I tried to book . No dates or venues available for 9 month! Buy a gift won’t extend as this was redeemed to book as per their advice. I’ve sent 5 complaints and spoke to a member of the team, this is still not rectified and all emails have gone ignored. They offered me the voucher amount, still not revived this, they won’t give me a refund, now voucher has expired so essentially, but a gift have stolen over £150 from me!!!! Customer service is disgusting as well

I bought my daughter a hotel break for Xmas in 2019 , 3 months later we went into lockdown so my daughter was unable to use voucher, after having covid she was very wary about going out, she is now comfortable about mixing with people and tried to get her voucher extended and was told it was too late . I am so disappointed as she and her partner could really do with a break right now .I am one very unhappy customer. I have bought lots of gifts from buy a gift in the past , but won’t be doing so in the future .

When I tried to use the voucher it said the number was not recognised so need to fathom out what the problem is.

I had two vouchers to use for £99 each for a two night break. I selected a hotel from the list but couldn't seem to apply both vouchers. I rang the hotel to check the availability and price. £87 per night a total of £174. When I finally got hold of Buyagift, they were charging £546 for the same 2 night stay. Despite querying for the next hour, apparently this was correct. What a ripoff.

The experience we booked ended up costing double the original stated amount (no T&Cs to indicate otherwise). Both BuyAGift and the provider (a bird of prey experience company) won't take responsibility - leaving the customer out of pocket. The live chat with BuyAGift always has 30+ in the queue in front. The page has to be kept open, or the chat closes - so does previous conversations/ your place in the queue. Consultants then take 30 minutes to respond that "they're looking into it" and "will respond by XX date" (spoiler alert: they don't). More than two weeks into chasing my money back and it's still unresolved, hence this post.

Will never use buy a gift again.given a voucher for an experience and then unable to use the voucher at the required booking place because wouldn’t accept it???? Spent an hour this morning trying to sort the problem.no one you can talk to at buy a gift and their live chat was useless just saying nothing they could do and to contact the company which I am trying to do but still haven’t resolved the problem.is a total joke and has caused an awful lot of wasted time .there must be a better system to book something than enter a ridiculous long code .very frustrating and annoying.

Hard to excess pin and code and then when you try to book dates not available for next 4 months and want you to pay extra for weekend , birthday treat ruined

was bought an experience as a gift. Was unable to use due to ill health of my husband and they wanted £20 to extend. Find this disappointing given the price that was paid - they gouty money and I got nothing!

Booked spa wanted to add overnight stay so booked through buy a gift again, spent days trying to confirm booking calling an sending emails then book it but still had to chase again for the confirmation

Very disapointed after pausing an order half way through and then placing it only to receieve a message stating "we have seen you have started an order and will offer a 20% discount if completed" I think you will understand that I feel cheated!!

Waiting for them to get back to me about a refund. I ordered a voucher for an specific experience. After buying the voucher, I’ve been told the place do not accept vouchers anymore and they’re not part of Buyagift. I’ve explained to the person that they are still on the website. The person wasn’t very happy about this. I’ve been trying to call Buyagift for the past few days but no luck. I’ve filled out an online form and still no luck. I need my refund asap
