“We ordered the Hudson Platform Bed.
Shipped very fast, the bed arrived in excellent condition.
The bed itself was very easy to put together and is high quality.
Highly recommend!”
“We recently purchased the pine chunky farmhouse island legs for our DIY kitchen island, and we are so happy with them! They are absolutely gorgeous, sturdy, and the price was very affordable compared to other companies. The shipping was quick as well, which was a bonus. Thank you Carolina Leg Co!”
“Design is beautiful. Was disappointed the legs were lots of pieces of wood glued together . Hoping once they’re stained you will not be able to tell as much.”
“Product is excellent. I do not care for any of the online service. I don't want to have to sign up for a service just to make a purchase, I almost didn't. No way to see information on shipping or expected shipping. I had to go through customer service to find the status of my order. However customer was very responsive and knowledgeable.”
“These folks were amazing to work with. We had two slabs that needed legs to convert into an end table and sofa table, sort of. Even though it would be against a bedroom wall.
With limited width, they custom made legs that would fit our diminsions working with a preexisitng design.
We could not be more pleased with the final results. Great craftsmanship and quality. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to create a custom look in their home.”
“I bought the Upton Platform Bed. It's built from well-selected, dense ash, with a nicely sanded finish and beautifully machined joints. The deep, tight mortises and clever corner-bolt system make it extremely sturdy; I fully expect it to outlive me. The company was a pleasure to deal with; the bed shipped quickly and was very well-packaged. I look forward to buying from them again.”
“Overall, it's a really good looking and sturdy bed. And the price is very good, considering that it's made of solid ash and that it doesn't have a 5th leg in the middle. However, compared to other wooden beds on the marked, you'll need to put in some finishing work before you can use it:
1. The plywood slats came not sanded and the edges are very rough and splintery. I'd recommend sanding them down before you assemble the bed. I cut myself with a large splinter handling the slats.
2. The bed came with some minor dents in the frame that could be fixed by wet ironing and sanding. But because there were so minor, I didn't bother.
3. One of the threaded inserts got pulled out pretty easily when I tried to assemble the bed. Luckily, I had some epoxy that I used to re-install it and it worked fine after that.
4. The bed has unfinished surface. If you are into that kind of a thing, it can be an upside, but I chose to finish it with a nice hard wax oil, which really improved the color of the ash.
In conclusion, it's a good buy if you don't mind putting in a bit of work into it before you use it.”
“Easy process to order. Manufacture of a custom size and delivery occurred in less than 3 weeks. Quality and finish are outstanding. I would definitely order from Carolina Leg Co again”
“I placed an order for a set of legs and later realized that I needed to change the leg length. I wrote a request in comment section to change the size. I immediately received confirmation that the size would be changed and that my order would be shipped promptly. The order arrived days later. Excellent experience with Carolina Leg Co.”
“When looking for a new platform bed, I knew I wanted made in the USA. I was fortunate to find Carolina Leg Company. I loved the Hudson because of its simple clean design; and I was impressed with the workmanship of their other offerings. I love that the wood is harvested nearby and that it's a small US company. Also, I loved the fast, friendly responses I received (from a real person!) when i reached out a couple of times with questions. Shipping was fast and free. The bed pieces arrived in 2 boxes and were well packed and protected. Everything was nicely sanded and smooth. I chose to do a light, protective, nontoxic finish consisting of linseed oil and beeswax. My husband put the bed together himself in a very short time while I did other things. We liked the way the slats fit right in to the sides of the frame without having to fasten them. The bed is very solid and sturdy and looks absolutely beautiful. I'm very happy with my purchase and with Carolina Leg Company. Thank you!!”
“I purchased the pine chunky combo to make a farmhouse table and benches. The legs are good quality and finished well. Quick shipping on the products.”
