***CPW MANAGERS COULD DAMAGE YOUR CREDIT RATING AND AFFECT YOUR CHANCE OF GETTING A CONTRACT!!! - READ THIS FIRST*** I’ll keep it to the point. Called to get a contract on Monday. My credit score is strong, agent on phone offered to send phone to my home, or a store. I asked to have sent to a store near where I was working. Next day I attended store to pick up phone. Store manager cancelled my order and tried to re-process (It was later confirmed by a CPW telephone agent it is ‘not unheard of’ so they can hit branch sales targets)! Whilst I had passed the Vodafone credit check with no issues, the CPW system flagged a concern (trying to but 2 phones in 24 hrs) and I was REFUSED MY PHONE!! WORSE STILL... repeated attempts to resolve this issue have meant Vodafone will now not issue a contract to me for THREE MONTHS and REPEATED CREDIT CHECKS FOR CARPHONE WAREHOUSE COULD DAMAGE MY CREDIT SCORE!! In the last 6 days I have called CPW repeatedly and tried to resolve with customer services... BUT WAIT... Customer services say THE ONLY PERSON WHO CAN RESOLVE THE COMPLAINT IS THE STORE MANAGER WHO ABUSED THE SYSTEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! This suggests the manager will not face any disciplinary action and CPW’s unscrupulous business practices will continue AND COULD AFFECT ALL FUTURE CUSTOMERS INCLUDING YOU!!! THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE PROCESS I HAVE HAD NO CALL BACK, NO REPLY, NO CONTACT FROM CARPHONE WAREHOUSE! In addition, the customer service team on the phone have dropped my call repeatedly, despite my being polite, honest and never even swearing!!! If you have an issue, THEY COULD WASTE HOURS OF YOUR DAY! ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS BUY FROM THEM! I would never trade with this company again! THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!

We don't normally do reviews, but so disappointed with CPW!! Initially we thought we had a great experience with the team that talk you through the deals, contracts, phones etc... We had emphasised that we needed European calls and texts, and sometimes International calls. The guy that talked us through the plan absolutely 100% categorically stated that the plan he had offered us had all this included, certain amount of minutes, etc. etc. My wife, and then I both went through the plan with him, so we know the advice he gave to us both!! Today I decided to check something on the Vodaphone web site (who our plan was going to be with.) and then to my horror discovered none of this was included, and were all extra "add ons!! The deal we had signed for was absolutely mis-sold to us! Extremely disappointed with Carphone Warehouse, as the advisor seemed so genuine. The phone didn't arrive on the day they stated either, and when I phoned to enquire re this, as I had re-arranged my day to suit, and was going to have to re-arrange another work day, they said well we've done our bit, we passed the phone onto DPD...... Never again. You have been warned, look at all the 1* star reviews. Need we say more.

Avoid this company. Bought a phone while they had an offer on with a free watch included. 3 months later, I am still waiting for the watch and no clear response to my emails, tweets

POOR POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.... The lost the phone between them and DPD and are charging - Customer Service have no clue , been chasing for 6 weeks for a refund.... Escalated to Mark Reynolds, Investor Relations Manager but he seem to give to Customer Service have have no responded.

I ordered a new phone as an upgrade over the phone, through Carphone Warehouse, with a SIM contract through EE. It's now 2.5 weeks since the new phone arrived, and they still haven't got me connected... seven phone calls on and a visit to a store, and I'm still waiting. And in the process they changed my phone number on my old mobile to a temporary number so people don't know how to contact me. Its a grim experience. I regret ordering a phone by phone. Lesson learnt: next time go into a store and ask them to set the new phone up there and then.

The sales agent (probably due to sales targets) in the Durham Arnison branch blatantly lied to me stating that if I signed the contract I would have a 14 day cooling off period. The following day with the phone still unopened they refused to honour their promise. Cheating liars, self serving and ignorant.

My advice is not to deal with this high street scammers bought a mobile phone literally not working and the scammers have refused to replace or refund me STAY AWAY TOTALLY SCAMMERS

Bought and paid for a phone online and was advised it was in stock and will arrive between 7.30 am and 7.30 pm next day, it never arrived and after waiting all day for something that did not arrive they offered £15.00 voucher to spent in their shop as Compensation for a days lost wages So true cost of refund by cpw Maybe £1.50 and no idea when they can deliver tomorrow I stopped dealing with these fools years ago because they are incompetent and I should have stayed away

I preferred Carphone Warehouse before it became part of Carphone Dixons I do not like Currys / Dixons/ PC World. I lost my phone twice, the first time I left it in a supermarket and after a week of stressful searching I found it but in the mean time claimed for a new phone. Unfortunately the battery was missing but I found my original phone so kept this as a spare. The second time, I could not find my phone anywhere and for some reason it ended up down the back of the car but I never heard it ring. I claimed again and got a new phone for £20 both are being sold as I am now with a new provider and have a new contract phone They are good but my premium on my new phone is a lot more but it's a Sony Xperia AE1 so I can't complain in gothic black !

The customer service I have received from this company is borderline farcical. A phone sold by this company was tested by Apple who stated in writing that it was “dead”, we returned it to Carphone Warehouse where it was purchased and they sent it off to their repair team. A week later I was advised by text that the phone would be back within 48 hours at the store. I took time off work after this period to visit the store only to be advised that the phone had not been returned. The store at the Harlequin in Watford attempted to contact their repair department but they were unable to track the phone. I’m now waiting for someone to contact me but this seems unlikely with the level of chaos I’m experiencing. I have now made countless attempts to speak to the customer relations team and repair team with no success, unbelievable inefficiency!The message is clear for me...never use this company again.

Ordered S7 edge on Black Friday. They cancelled the order for an unknown reason after 5 days waiting for it. Now I'm waiting 10 days for my refund. Joke of the matter was the offered me £50 off if I wanted to buy it full price (which was £200 more expensive). Never using them again. Spread the word.

Never use click & collect with this useless outfit. Purchased a sim free iphone on Thursday, knowing I'd be out on Friday so chose to collect at my local pc world/currys/carphone warehouse. Issue 1 - received email saying it wouldn't arrive until Saturday. Not a major issue. Issue 2 - when going to pick it up the phone had "disappeared " even though I had an email saying it had been delivered by DPD. They eventually found it after I suggested the police be called as it had to have been stolen. Issue 3 - main issue, they then tried the hard sell for insurance, and refused to give me the phone I'd already paid for until i provided my post code, which I refused to do as they had no need for it because I wasn't taking their over priced cover. This ended in a mexican stand off where i gave them a made up postcode, making a mockery of their "security check". Attitude was disgraceful when exposing their blatant personal info trawl. Never again!!

Same as others have reported, ordered Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on Black Friday for £370 which was also available from John Lewis at the time for the same price. Got an email to say delivery may take up to 2 weeks because of it was Out of Stock, then a subsequent email telling me the order was cancelled. Disgusting behaviour. Avoid.
