It seemed to take ages for the paperwork to be sorted out. The engineer that fitted the charger was very neat and seemed very knowledgeable and competent.

The whole process was easy and the engineer who install the charging point was very good. I would have awarded a very good if the colours of the materials used blended better with the background.

My first visit to The Holiday Inn Eastleigh wasnt successful because the connector was faulty although the 24 hotline number was helpful. My second visit to The Grove Watford was fine. BTW The holiday Inn sent me a parking charge !! I rang to point out I used the Polar Network and let reception know. Apparently they should have asked me to enter my vehicle reg number

The initial sign up process and processing the paperwork took longer than I thought, but there were no issues and the sales team were easy to contact and sort things out, I just felt like I had to push things forward myself. The waiting time for installation was very short, an initial install day about eight weeks away was given but I phoned up to see if that could be brought forward and an engineer was able to visit only three days later. On the day the engineer was brilliant. He talked me through the process of what he was going to do and we discussed where the charger was going to be installed. The charger is connect directly to the incoming supply rather than running off the board in the house, (there was an additional charge of I think £50 to pay for the extra kit) but this saved having to disturb internal decoration. The work was completed in a few hours and is very neat and tidy. The engineer game a good demonstration of the charger and we made sure it worked fully before he left. With the subsidised cost of install this has been well worth doing and I would recommend BP Chargemaster.

Very efficient if not too bureaucratic! Errors on email transmission not picked up. Hard to believe you cannot send to btinternet addresses!

System is fine, but would be good to get more information from the charger, it's a bit basic. An app to monitor and control the charger would be good

Had a charger installed, but a few weeks later it failed, people in the office were terrible and it took 4 calls for them to book an engineer, so I was 2 weeks without my charger. The engineers are fantastic, so helpful, he said they had a bad batch of chargers unfortunately.

Telephone contact was difficult with different people having to be refreshed on the order every time I called. After that it became straight forward & engineer made it an enjoyable process.

The charge point installer was extremely knowledgeble and helpful , and showed real commitment to his work . The quality of the work was to a high standard, however it is not a "smart" charge point and does not have some of the features and intelligence of some of the later generation charge points (such as varying charge amount, bi-directional flow, remote operation etc)

BP Chargemaster & Polar [Ipace new as of 3rd May 2019] BP Chargemeaster: I've had a 7 kW charger expertly fitted by Alan, charger works well. However it would be great if I could control it remotely and set delayed charging start and finish times. Charge master you might want to consider adding that additional functionality. Ipace charges from empty in about 12 hours. Polar Plus: well worth purchasing Polar Plus RF network card on montly subscription (if you are likely to charge on the go) £7.85 pm but only 9ppKW. Polar network is great and very reliable unlike Ecotricity which is 30ppkW but no subscription (found at most motorway service stations). Polar can also be found in most areas of the UK (not all). That said come on guys lets have more chargers in places we might actually want to pull up for 1 1/2 hours i.e. shopping outlets, pubs etc (and Ecotricity waste of time, come on sort your sh.. out!).
