I had a home charger installed 4 months ago, the app and scheduling just do not work, BP chargemaster sent a global email to all customers outlining the unit to be faulty 3 months ago. since then , no updates, no information and very poor responses from customer service, who can only advise "we sent an email saying it is faulty" I changed my tarriff to have cheap electricity overnight with British gas only 4.7 p per kw/hr this unit fails to schedule at correct time , sometimes not at all its a total waste of money, its ineffective and highly frustrating. The information provided by the the unit to the app is totally false and misleading.I would suggest avoiding this product until they have resolved the issues.

Absolutely awful service. Installation provided poor information. Emails ignored. No conversations between installer and service team which means they had no record of me which in turn means I cannot use app as no log in information recognised and to top it off charging unit then failed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Rating this as a home charger. The box actually welded one of the pins of the cable to the charging unit socket. Not only was this quite frightening, it also meant that I had neither charging box nor cable, so I could neither charge at home nor outside. These things can happen. It is what is done about it that counts. 2 weeks later, still no cable.

Installation and planning was excellent, however. The unit works for manual charging but does not work for scheduled charging, I require the unit to make scheduled charges in relation to my British Gas EV tariff between 12:00-5:00, the unit and the chargemaster app do not provide accurate information, this is being looked into and chargemaster have identified a fault on the units that they are looking to fix. Key Issues No confidence when scheduled charging takes place as the data in the app is miles apart from reality, It has recorded my vehicle as charging for more than 24 hours when I was out at work all day. It has recorded negative duration's of charge periods, how? If they can sort out the software problems out this unit and the app should be fine but for now avoid

Have had the unit fitted. It doesn’t work and shorts out half my kitchen whenever I use it.

I have NOT bought this product. While BP try’s not green wash it’s image we all know you’re still one of the worlds largest polluters! CLEAN UP YOUR ACT

After an initial argument as to where I wanted the charge unit, the unit was installed but the safety earthing rods have been drilled through my pathway without permission. My garden will be redesigned next year but the safety rods will need to be removed from my damaged property to make this happen. More money. More problems. Brutal and needless shortcuts.

I cant get it to do scheduled charges at night on cheap rate electricity and despite several calls and emails don't seem to be getting anywhere.I thought the whole idea was that you could charge the car at night when there is a low demand for electricity. I am beginning to wonder whether this is a basic problem with the charge master rather than my particular unit.

BP Chargemaster did not apply for permission from our electricity supplier as is required. The fitter once here, was not clear that the charger could be fitted and had to consult his supervisor. The help so far in using the APP has been minimal.

Terrible experience, 8 weeks wait, unreturned phone calls, unanswered emails, even the app set up is a horror story. Really wish I had used someone else

Having used the unit for the last 4 weeks I am having to turn the unit off at the fuse box and wait for 10 minutes before turning back on for it to work. I have telephoned regards the issue and sent an email but I have heard nothing.

installation was fine. However - does not charge to the maximum - much less than a normal home power. App does not work - was meant to leave it to charge overnight but the app schedule does not work - and stops any override attempt.

Absolute disgraceful customer service . Still waiting for a response to a serious complaint regarding the handling of our installation and communication with a vulnerable person. Tom Callow is aware of this issue and yet still no response from your customer services director ....team....supervisor....anyone !

I can state without doubt Chargemaster is the worst company I have every dealt with. After waiting weeks for a response it took a month to get point fitted. It was then overcharged by £50. Refund promised but nearly a month later no sign of such. Had to chase again.

The actual installation was fine, the young man that came was very polite and helpful, he worked hard (never even stopped for a cup of tea!) and left the job neat and tidy. My problem is with the app, it is absolutely useless, after many phone calls and e mails (most of witch they never reply to) they replaced the unit, exactly the same problem. Basically the app says the car is charging when it is not and vice versa at present it says that i have been charging for 430 hours! on one day it said i had charged 6 times, 4 of those times for 0 mins and the other 2 time for 4 mins each time and costs for the last few weeks are Zero! I have now heard back from them to say that they aware of the problem (they say it is only in certain areas) and they are working on a cure and it will take between 4 to 5 MONTHS! for a company the size of chargmaster and backed by BP it is pathetic.

Unit installed only delivered 2 successful charges. Faulty ever since. Reported over 3 weeks ago but not had any contact back and customer service currently just fobbing me off saying they are awaiting a response from their 'technical' department
