The installation was very good, however getting to that point was quite difficult. I got different emails from different people and poor information which ended up with a delay in the process.

The charge point is fine and does what it says on the tin. The installer was a bit messy though and left rubbish behind. The app could be better as I keep getting duplicate records for my charge sessions; I’ve raised a fault for this. In terms of the charge point itself, it would be good to be able to lock the cable in place at the charge point end so that it can’t be unplugged.

The charger works well but the app is useless as is the Chargevision portal. The latter is difficult to log in to and both are not much use for tracking usage accurately for accounting purposes. Hard work!

The pre-installation visit and the installation itself was handled well by Chargemaster’s subcontractor. Communication with Chargemaster was generally good, with the exception of their failing to inform me of a law change until 2 weeks before this came into force, meaning my original system order could not be fulfilled. The law change had been announced 6 months previously. Having opted for a smart ‘socketed ‘ unit, I was told that I had to pay an extra £179 for a cable to connect my car to the unit. This only became apparent at the time of installation, obviously the charging unit without a cable is useless. Now the unit is in place I’m happy with it and it works fine, it just cost me twice as much as I was expecting.

After a lots of twoing and frowing regarding pictures etc, finally got installed, carried out very well, but I have requested access to the SmartCharge app but as yet I have not received the details of a username or password to access, would really like to get that sorted please?

The installation was fine, and it charges the car effectively, however the chargevision website does not work after 3 months and various emails with Chargemaster customer services. So I am still waiting for a response to the questions that I have raised.

The charger works ok sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t, about 50/50. When it doesn’t, Lights are on but no charge so have to open garage, flick the power switch of and on. It resets unit and then it works. Does it need a firmware update or is it faulty for replacement? Darren Cattley

The charger works well. There were issues organising the installation with central office- we received conflicting messages about what was needed- but the man who actually did the installation was very helpful.

The installation was professional and they did a good job but unfortunately they fitted the wrong unit twice and I had to get them back 3 times before they realised the problem. It is now working satisfactory although I had to reboot it once by turning power off and on. The app which comes with it has never worked and needs more development. Overall just about acceptable.

Installation was straightforward and well organised. Operation manual doesn't come as standard item with installation and was given only upon explicit request as a PDF document. Unfortunately, the actual hardware looks outdated and gives the red light error at every charge session, so needs to be rebooted by a circuit breaker. Support was pretty slow to address the problem, and stopped any dialogue once the brute "off-on" reboot method was reported to work. It's not enough in my opinion and doesn't make the unit itself look serious and reliable.

There was a over complicated amount of To-ing and froing before the actual installation. I was promised on several occasions to be contacted by a rep, who did not reply. After taking the initiative myself, I did eventually succeed and the staff I dealt with were pleasant and professional. Could definitely be improved on admin side- the installation itself was seem less.

When it works, it’s good. However it does need re- booting every 7-10 days which is annoying. If you don’t reboot, it refuses to charge...

EV not yet delivered so it is all a complete mystery. The fitting of the charging unit was done by a competent cheerful operative. I am unable to use the Chargemeaster app because I cannot log on. I do not understand what options I have for charging when away from home. What are the systems and operators? Chargemasters web site is completely inane and banal on the subject and as much us as an ash tray on a motor bike. RM

1. The pre-installation customer communication was great. 2. The installation was seamless also. 3. The unit itself seem to work fine 4. Only rated "acceptable" because the App and Online Chargevision web page are very buggy. Scheduled charging only works sometimes. The charge history is unreliable also. For example one overnight charge is showing up as a duration of 121 hours on the App and 50 years on the web page !

Installation was good but cable is too short. It would be better if it was a stretch coil cable. We keep having to move other vehicles around to get the Hybrid car close enough to the charger because of the shortness of the cable. The casing on the wall used to wrap the cable round is plastic so only time will tell as to whether it's up to the job or not. When you wrap the cable back round the casing on the wall your hands get wet and dirty where the cable has been on the floor. It would be better if it was retractable. I think it was expensive for what it is.

The charger works okay. The initial communication between Chargemaster rep regarding the purchase of the charger was okay too. However that between Chargemaster and my supplier regarding other work required less so. The unit was fitted by a very clean and tidy professional. However, the app that should allow me to monitor my useage has never worked due to not being able to log in. I have on a number of occasions had email contact with Chargemaster and have still not been able to log in. In summary equipment once fitted fine, communication sadly lacking.
