The service is dreadful. Selling products they don't have in stock - happened on two occasions. Unreasonable delay in refund - make you chase them rather than them keeping you up to date - i had to pester to get my refund. Was resolved eventually by a helpful manager but it should never have got that stage. Will never use this service again or recommend it to anyone else.

Customer service is absolutely shocking, I have emailed 4 times about a missing item now but to no avail. Very dissapointed. Been nearly two months now since this item went missing

I purchased 3 diamond rings and a diamond necklace totalling around £12,000 on the 20th of December 2020 from the Glasgow Fort store. Alana and her manager (Claire I think) were brilliant and so helpful on the day but from there on the service went down hill. I left the store will 2 of the rings and the necklace as as one of the rings needed to be re-sized so Alana explained this would be done in a few days. A few hours after leaving the store I got a phone call to say that due to the shape of the diamond in the ring it couldn’t be re-sized and we would need to get a new once direct from the makers and this would take up to 6 weeks. Obviously disappointed as it was a Christmas gift but not a lot we could do. Obviously the country went into lockdown and the Glasgow fort shop was closed. Near the end of January I called the customer services number on the receipt to find out what was happening with the ring. The lady on the other line told me she had no idea where it was and that there would be people at the fort store the next day and that she would give them a call and call me back to update me. Two weeks had passed and I heard nothing. I called customer services again and another lady did find the rings ‘special order’ number and that it was with the manufacturer. She assured me should would chase them for an update and get back to me. A week later and I have heard nothing again. On the 3rd of March I called customer services for the 3rd time and spoke to Thomas. At this stage I am furious as I was explaining it all again. He assured me he would look into it and get back to by the end of that week with an update. Low and behold, Friday comes and goes with no update. I call again on the Monday (9th of March) and get Thomas who apologised that he didn’t call on Friday as he was off sick. I told him I wanted to cancel my order and get a full refund. Now I totally understand a lockdown can delay things, that’s not the reason for me cancelling. The total dis regard for me as a customer, to keep me updated or to even call me back is disgusting. Thomas done some digging and has promised me he will have the ring on the 22nd of March and it will be posted to me on the 23rd of March. I have in turn promised Thomas I am going to phone him on the 23rd of March to confirm this and that if he doesn’t have the ring to post to me then I under no circumstances will be proceeding with the order and will demand a full refund along with some sort of compensation. To remind the person reading this, I bought this £4,000 ring on the 20th of December 2020, I am writing this on the 14th of March 2021 and still don’t have the ring. Let’s hope Thomas can turn this around!

After ordering and paying for my new watch online, 4 days later on as told it was no longer in stock. I then picked a different watch, which took them another week to confirm it was in stock and finally took delivery 3 and a half weeks after payment. A very disappointing experience which could have been avoided with better communication!

Really a pathetic company with pathetic staff ,staff are so rude no sense to talking. I ordered watch for my anniversary gift i couldn’t gat that gift ,please don’t buy from here Thank you ruined my anniversary gift

i bought and ex display watch for £4k and it didn't come with a box i emailed you and you were utterly useless, in the Bremont sent me a box. I want a couple more watches but cannot deal with you chaps

Avoid at all cost, they've had my rings for appraisal for repairs since December, I'm heartbroken, they don't answer voicemails, emails or tweets. Seriously considering the office of fair trading.

Only received one out if two items I paid for with no note of explanation. Three calls later I eventually found a competent member of staff who finally resolved my problem. No offer of compensation, or good will gestures! Birthday presents was over two weeks late thanks to shopping with yourselves!! Never again.

Expensive piece of jewellery broke on the first day of wearing/ without any obvious cause! Enquiry made with customer service about quality of piece- no reassurances offered or made!

The entire failure to properly confirm my order and receipt of payment and complete lack of support or follow up from your customer services team was nothing short of appalling. I would never order another watch from Chisholm Hunter.

A shocking customer experience. An incorrect watch was sent due to an error at their end. They then had me send the watch back at my expense first class next day signed for (£11.15). This was under the pretence that they would send the correct watch straight out to me in time for my father’s 50th birthday. It was posted on the Saturday, back with them by Monday, birthday on the Tuesday. The correct watch (of significant value and importance as it was a big occasion), didn’t arrive until over a week later. I called them multiple times to be fobbed off by 3 employees on 3 separate days. I requested 2 call backs which never arrived. The chap helping me had apparently gone on annual leave and had left this for a colleague who didn’t deal with it. It took several attempts to get back in touch with him and to get him to finally send the correct watch out to me. No efforts were made to rectify the situation other than an exasperated apology from the man who helped in the first instance. It arrived in a tatty, dirty box, however I was done communicating with this company. Oh and the £11.15 that I was to be refunded for postage arrived over a month later. In short - a company that sell lovely products at great prices. But you’d better hope that everything goes right with your order - otherwise they’re terrible.

I ordered a pendant for my daughters 40th birthday.As I wanted a longer chain I requested this from Rhonda on live chat.She said she would pass this request on.When it arrived the chain was the shorter one and very thin.I emailed twice and got no response.I then called and was told somebody would call me back about my complaint but nobody did.I then called again and was informed that I should never have been told originally that I could have a different chain as they only did one size.The customer service for this company is zero and it seems once they have taken your money they are not interested in any problems. As it is my daughters birthday shortly I have no time to dispute this but have to now go and buy a more suitable chain. I would never use this company again

Ordered a watch and paid express delivery for my mums birthday. Watch did not come in time and when it did it was the complete wrong watch. We are now in February and I still have not received my refund for the delivery or for sending the wrong watch back! The actual watch has not long come and just being referred to the finance department... means nothing to me when you are not refunding me!!

Scam I was very disappointed by the service offered by Chisholm Hunter. I purchased a birthday present from the website. It was my partner's 30th birthday, and I bought her a diamond bracelet for £1,750. On the website, there was a timer which said that delivery would be by a certain time. It read "For delivery on [insert date], order this item in the next [insert hours/minutes". Given that this was a birthday present, and the listed time of delivery was two days before my partner's birthday, I proceeded with the purchase safe in the knowledge that it would arrive in good time. The timer was a misrepresentation. The delivery came four days late. I couldn't give my partner her present on her birthday. I suggest that you take this dishonest timer off your website, which entices people to use your service with its misleading and erroneous representations. Staff were attentive by email, but were restricted in what they could do. The delivery times expressed on the website are a scam. I note that they are still there.

Would be nice if the watch that I ordered on 22nd of January and paid £2000 for would get delivered. Fed up phoning and getting no where. Being lied to by employees and not having my calls returned. Have been in touch with citizens advice. Will be in touch shortly for my deposit back and cancelling my order. Total joke of a company. Never expected this. Certainly won't be using this company again!!!!!

The watch I can recommend, however Chisholm Hunter I cannot. The watch was ordered as an 18th birthday present for my son, before placing the order I called Chisholm Hunter to make sure the watch was in stock and to make sure it could be delivered before Friday (my son’s birthday) the lady on the phone said yesterday they had stock and all orders were being sent out via a 24 hour service. Imagine my surprise when on Thursday the watch hadn’t updated as being sent. Upon speaking to someone in customer service (who really didn’t care and suggested I cancelled the order) I became frustrated and asked to speak to a manager. The man I spoke to seemed genuinely sympathetic and assured me that it would be with me on Friday (not great as my son would wake up to no gift) he was part way asking me what he could do to appease me when he said he had to go into a meeting and asked if he could call me back and asked his secretary to take my details and number, I of course I agreed. That was the last I heard from Chisholm Hunter until today when they asked me for a review, so here it is... my honest review.

Shocking customer service. Said my items were dispatched and 2 weeks later I find out that they never had them in stock in the first place. I was pushed from pillar to post and ended up receiving the items over a month after the guaranteed delivery date, which was a day before my wife's birthday. Over a month later I receive the items with no apology or compensation

I returned a pair of slippers to you on 20th January & to date have not received my refund. I tried to phone & discovered that you are not accepting calls,which I find very inconvenient. I would at the very least have expected an acknowledgement to say that you had received my return. I am very disappointed with the service & would be obliged if you could advise me of the position regarding my refund.
