The legal cap on claims from 2018 is 20% plus VAT

Why is nobody chasing the companies up after their 8 week deadline to respond? It’s exhausting and I suppose at the end of it they’ll want most of the money anyway. Would not recommend

“I started a claim last year, for months and months heard nothing, then I had forms upon forms to sign, extra ones as they said they had not received them, finally I was told I had an offer from one for £374.21, this is after the tax taken, they wanted a fee of £173.00, I did a bit of googling and a cap was put on the % last year they can only ask for 20% plus vat (24 %), they still want £99.13 as they take their % from the gross not what you receive,I want to know what they did to earn this, but they will not send an itemised bill. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.”
