“We spent two hours at Home Depot today, trying to do a Clear verification and their systems were looping and locking. We spoke to a very rude agent that was no help at all.”
“I wish I can give it a zero star review but one is the minimum. As I sat in line I watched Standard Security Travelers wiz past me with people in my party getting to the gate more than half an hour before me. On top of all of that you still have the Standard Security protocol. So, I guess clear as a service for those that feel they are not spending enough time in airport lines? Canceled free trial before I even made it to the gate. Clearing them out of our airports which speed things up quite a bit. Hopefully the word is spread and the airports are cleansed of this snake oil company in the next few years”
“Clear offers zero - zero! - improvement to the airport experience, and was an immediate waste of $200. At one point in the past year I even asked a Clear employee if the (slow, long) Clear line at the Austin airport was moving faster than the regular security line, and she was sternly like, “I’m not at liberty to answer that question,” which was kind of hilarious. Not $200 worth of hilarity, though.
Save your money, y’all, and don’t fall for this scam.”
“I cancelled my membership because it wasn't worth it and they charged me for another year at $199! Everytime I tried to use it, the TSA line was shorter. Don't purchase it, even if you get reimbursed. I have an email confirmation of my cancellation and they renewed my membership anyway!!! UGH”
“Complete scammers and the worst customer service. I was approached at the airport to sign up through an ongoing promotion giving free membership. However, my credit card was later charged for the $199 membership fee. When I called their customer service to report the incident of the false information, customer service rep spoke over me, cut me off, and told me it's my fault for willingly signing up for it.
Avoid at all costs if you don't want to be scammed and then gaslit!”
“This is a hoax. They make you go through a place to try the system "for free" and ask you to put in the card just to demonstrate how the system works. I did not authorize any payment.”
“SCAMMERS! Will mislead you with false information and trick you into getting a membership after CLEARLY stating I did not want one. Had to dispute over $600 with my bank.”
“I I could give a score of 0, I would. They do not deserve a 1 rating. I cancelled my free membership days before it expired and I still got charged. Trying to get my refund has taken almost three months. Still no refund. I am going to tell my experience on every platform until I get my money credited to my card. After reading these reviews, how can they still be in business. Also, I am going to stand near the Clear Me station at every airport I find one and discourage people from signing up for the service until my money is refunded!
You want to know the answers to your, Clear Me, questions:
How easy it is get refund? - Next to impossible
How lmany days does a refund take?
Your question should read: How many months.……?”
“This will be the last time I use clear. The las vegas staff was just awful. Stood in line for 45 minutes, maybe more. My other party in the normal line got through faster. Rude staff.”
“I find it actually takes longer than TSA Pre, also the eye sensor worked the first time then it didn't and the finger verification always takes 2 trys. I also received a special offer to add family members for 3 months free. They charged me for a membership, when I called I was told I must have not entered the code so they gave me a credit less 15 cents. I went back in and tried again and there was no place for a code, so I was charged again and this time I was told it is not 3 months free it is a reduced membership for family members, they charged a different amount this time and credited me again for less 15 cents again. I will not be renewing, waste of time.”
“Horrible waste of time and money. By the time we waited on employees to scan our prints and write on our boarding pass, it took longer to get thru security. The others in our party , that didn't have Clear, were already thru. Its nothing more than a scam for them to verify your identification. Same security line. Same security measures. For $199 a year, not worth it.”
“Tried to take a picture five different times to secure identity on LinkedIn and was unsuccessful each time after having tried multiple time to secure a acceptable picture of my ID.
I’m the president of a multi million dollar company with several locations and if I was not so busy I would create a company to complete in the task successfully.
LinkedIn, you should certainly consider using some other service, that being said, the LinkedIn service is not what it should or could be as well.”
“Save your money, if you are at a major airport you will go through regular security faster. The Clear personnel at JFK have not got a clue as to what they are doing!”
“Not worth the money. If you get pre-check, you will be better off. Clear is such a waste of money and the service keeps getting worst, at least in the Houston airport”
“Clear works 30% of the time. 50% or more it slows you down. TSA has done such a better job at getting people through the line. You dont need clear most of the time. When you do need clear they usually have problem’s causing you delays. In fairness sometimes it works. No thank you clear not me…!”
