Was not told of any charges in fact was told there was no change. Very misleading people. I should have known better when a man standing there started yelling that it was a fraud.

I had someone at the airport come up to me and offered me a free 6 month trial of Clear Me, so I decided to take him up on the offer. Only a couple of weeks later, my credit card is billed for $199. There's no phone number on their website, so I had to Google had to contact them. When I got that number, I got an automated attendant who didn't give me any options to speak with an actual person. So, I just had to cancel the subscription, which didn't even do that. After giving them all of the information requested, the automated attendant, said that someone would review and get back to me. They have no problem paying people to accost you at the airport but can't pay actual customer support people to answer the phone? I'd rather pay for TSA precheck, which is less expensive, for subpar service.

The person at JFK airport told both my husband and I this was a free 1 year membership. Now that I logged in, it is only for 2 weeks.

CLEAR didn’t save me any time at all. I tried it twice—once at LGA and once at STL—and ended up just waiting in the CLEAR line instead of the regular one, which was actually moving faster. One time, they still asked for my ID to verify my identity, which defeated the purpose. I’m not sure why anyone would pay $199 for a more complicated process. Plus, the staff seemed impatient when the system failed to recognize my eyes.

CLEAR has you pay to skip the lines. It is not as good as TSA pre-check, and also pisses off people without CLEAR as their agents will make you skip regular people. Terrible idea for a service, essentially profiting from pocketing your biometric data.

Discovered that it, for all practical purposes, is a scam moments after signing up. My experience: spent 10 minutes submitting to an ID check, iris scan, facial scan fingerprinting only to be escorted to a waiting TSA agent who I would’ve reached 10 minutes prior w/o the Clear Plus BS. In essence, you pay $199 annually to be slowed down before being escorted, by a dimwitted Clear Plus employee, to the front of a non-existent line. If you’ve a compelling need to burn $199 burning a hole in your pocket, it’ll take less time to literally burn it. I cancelled before reaching my gate.

I had a problem with my account that it was a duplicate account. So I messaged them on the app 2 different times and they messed up all the information. So I called them waited for 15 minutes to get to a representative and then she said she fixed it so I tried logging in again and it wouldn't let me so I told the agent it's still not working. She started giving me attitude that I need to do it again so I did and told her I did and it's still not letting me log in and after all that she hung up the phone on me. Clear has disgusting customer service. They don't understand basic English and don't know how to fix problems just make things worse

Clear is not faster. In fact it is slower because you have only 1-2 TSA agents working the lines instead of 8-10 in regular lines. Save your money. Clear is a scam. Do TSA Pre Check with more resources if you want a faster experience.

We used CLEAR again at SLC airport last week- on a Monday (non-holiday). The CLEAR staffer told us, “You should go through the regular line (TSA), it’s faster than this one. This is very frustrating- to have paid for this and to be told by actual CLEAR staff that the CLEAR process is slower than the non-CLEAR process. We were incredibly frustrated. So far we’ve been directed ‘OUT’ of the CLEAR line two times out of four (only at LBG airport (small airport) did CLEAR work for us.

This system is absolutely not worth the money. The clear attendants have to guide you through the line and the system. The system itself is really slow. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS. Pre check is more affordable and moves much faster.

NEGATIVE ZERO STARS rating if I could!! I went to Home Depot for a van rental today and could not be verified with a REALID issued from my state. The program just loops and loops. There was no way to be verified with a REALID. It is a known issue, but customer service doesn't appear to care. No help today. No van. Waste of time!!!

We spent two hours at Home Depot today, trying to do a Clear verification and their systems were looping and locking. We spoke to a very rude agent that was no help at all.

I wish I can give it a zero star review but one is the minimum. As I sat in line I watched Standard Security Travelers wiz past me with people in my party getting to the gate more than half an hour before me. On top of all of that you still have the Standard Security protocol. So, I guess clear as a service for those that feel they are not spending enough time in airport lines? Canceled free trial before I even made it to the gate. Clearing them out of our airports which speed things up quite a bit. Hopefully the word is spread and the airports are cleansed of this snake oil company in the next few years

Clear offers zero - zero! - improvement to the airport experience, and was an immediate waste of $200. At one point in the past year I even asked a Clear employee if the (slow, long) Clear line at the Austin airport was moving faster than the regular security line, and she was sternly like, “I’m not at liberty to answer that question,” which was kind of hilarious. Not $200 worth of hilarity, though. Save your money, y’all, and don’t fall for this scam.

I cancelled my membership because it wasn't worth it and they charged me for another year at $199! Everytime I tried to use it, the TSA line was shorter. Don't purchase it, even if you get reimbursed. I have an email confirmation of my cancellation and they renewed my membership anyway!!! UGH

Complete scammers and the worst customer service. I was approached at the airport to sign up through an ongoing promotion giving free membership. However, my credit card was later charged for the $199 membership fee. When I called their customer service to report the incident of the false information, customer service rep spoke over me, cut me off, and told me it's my fault for willingly signing up for it. Avoid at all costs if you don't want to be scammed and then gaslit!
