“Was offered a free trial on a recent trip for me and my 9 year old son. I figured I’d give it a try as the line was pretty long. Got in the short Clear line and stood there while the couple of Clear reps dealt with the 3 or 4 people in front of me. Eventually I saw people in the regular line who were behind me go through and we were still in the clear line. Totally inefficient and did not save us time, we lost time. I opted out of the trial period less than 20 minutes of signing up.”
“The customer service rep at the airport lied about my Amex having a free clear benefit and then they refused a full refund bc of an alleged Uber credit they provided. Customer service hung up on me.”
“I recently used the Clear It A.S.A.P. service and was extremely disappointed. The service was inefficient, the staff were unhelpful, and the overall experience was frustrating. I expected much better and will not be using their services again.”
“Terrible product and support. Have been trying to solve the issue with Linkedin verification for months with no luck hoping that it'll resolve after 30 days of waiting etc. I don't understand how Linkedin can partner with such a useless company to start with. Damaged my view towards Linkedin and cancelling my subscription there because of the horrible experience I had with CLEAR. Linkedin support experience for this issue was awful, too. They tell you to solve it with Clear, Clear does nothing. If you can't provide proper support why would you use a service in the first place Linkedin.”
“LinkedIn uses clearme.com to verify accounts but clearme.com has to text a code to me and since I am Canadian the code won't come through.
They asked that I start an account with them but their application only accepts US Zip codes (Remember, I am Canadian)”
“Absolutely useless service!
Line processes much slower than regular TSA.
Machines frequently don't work.
Not enough staff to actually use all the machines.
Because the service is offered free with most credit cards, there are more people in the clear line than in the regular line while the time per person is longer.
A lot of smaller airports don't have clear or only have a specific checkpoint that offers clear.
Do not recommend!”
“Bad Buisness ethics.
Bad Buisness ethics.
What a nightmare? We reached Austin aurport 2 hours before our domestic flight thinking we have clear and ore check and there were big waiting lines. Clear lines were long too but we waited thinking it will move faster but not really as they were trying people standing in regular security lines to buy memberships instead of moving the security lines for there own customers. That tells about company ethics as they are trying to take advantage of the situation instead of helping people who have clear. I will drop the membership as i don’t like the attitude and they are not true to there own members”
“This is the worst company ever!! It is so overpriced and not worth one penny!! Their customer service is horrible. All it gets you is to cut in the security line. You will still need to have TSA Precheck. At a busy airport it may save you 5 minutes at the most. They overcharged me for my membership and I fought to have them rectify the situation. They would NOT back down. Apparently the prices went up 2 days before I signed up. The website did not reflect the new prices. I only noticed because of my credit card statement. I just looked at the prices on AMEX website (you get a discount using an AMEX card) and it still reflects the old prices that I thought I was paying. DO NOT PURCHASE CLEAR!!”
