“I’ve spent close to a billion euros on presets. I must have gotten a heavy fall as a child. All in trying to find my own voice with my images. From Mastin Labs, RNI, Alex on Raw, Classic Presets, the Capture One styles, Filter Grade and many more.
The Cobalt styles in Capture One are by far the best.
I don’t know what species of voodoo is being used but my guess is the ICC Profiles.
Other presets are a layer on top of your image but they don’t always sink into it. The ICC Profiles from Cobalt looks like the presets are embedded into the image. As if the image was shot in camera. And the different tone profiles are fun to work with as well.
The Leica M presets are great but I think the Leica CCD are my favourite. I use them most of the time.
I also own the Cobalt Kodachrome, Kodak Original, Kodak Elite and the Classic B&W Elite.
I often choose a Cobalt look for my image, add a tone curve and I’m pretty much done.
Cobalt are doing brilliant work and definitely have their hand on the pulse with digital imaging.
I look forward to what the future brings.”

“The product is good and it does provide a great deal of flexibility regardless what camera body you use. The film and classic DSLR simulations are pretty much as close as you can get to the original colour rendering and reproduction. The only issue I have is that I had to purchase 3 different DNG packs for each camera body I own. IMO this is somewhat unnecessary and it could be quite pricey especially if you have more than one camera. Overall, I’m happy with Cobalt products although some adjustments regarding pricing structure would make a huge difference.”
“I'm an old timer user of Cobalt's standard profiles that a fundamental part of my Lightroom development process. Having now purchased a new camera (Nikon Z8) it was important to me to update my profiles library. I love the color rendered by Cobalt's profiles.
I'm also using Monochrome simulation as basis for my B&W images.
Great job!”
“Non si tratta delle solite Lut o dei soliti preset. Cobalt Image e' seriamente una soluzione valida per lavorare i colori delle foto. Uso Llightroom con soddisfazione ed efficacia.
Consiglio.”
“I am so pleased with the results I am obtaining with Cobalt Image color profiles. I have struggled with pleasing color and overall contrast until trying the Capture One Basic pack. I finally have colors from highlight to shadow without color casts. The Canon Contemporary emulations have brought a subtle richness to my Sony images that is like the chefs kiss for the image. These products have been some of the most valuable purchases I've made, and have elevated my image quality tremendously.”
“Good products. Elite film simulations are excellent and the workflow is simple. I'm also satisfied with the after-sales consultation service. In general, 'packages' are not cheap, but they are a lasting investment.”
“I really like these Fuji profiles, certainly a lot cheaper than buying a new camera to get them! It would be great if you could use them as presets too rather than having to set profiles.”
“I bought the DNG pack for my camera (a7iii) and a Nikon profile pack(the one that contains the d5, d850, and the z7), and I also purchased the Portra pack. I'm quite pleased by the Nikon pack, I was a Nikon shooter for 4years before I switched to Sony, and I think it represents quite accurately the Nikon colors and gives a more natural, balanced color to the Sony, it especially works very well on portraits. The porta pack is a bit different than i thought i would be, i understand that it tries to model exactly how a portra film would behave, but sometimes its not giving me enought of the portra look, it wold be nice to react more to under or over exposer in terms of color shifts, and stuff like that, but it still ok, but compared to the nikon pack i think its a bit overpriced.”
